Standard Dragonhawk Features:
- Dragonhawks are Neurocrown-compatible; compatible droid drivers can make use of similar direct interfaces. Manual controls remain as a backup/option for those not comfortable with or trained to operate mind-machine interfaces. Inbuilt ejector seats can be trigger through neural command, emergency lever, or automatic response to reactor breach - single-use deflector shields increase crew survivability.
- Dragonhawks may be outfitted with anti-theft measures ranging from biometrics to code cylinder requirements.
- Dragonhawks are able to be resupplied in the field, typically by making use of burrowing or airborne drones.
- Dragonhawks can be airdropped onto a battlefield or the equivalent from high altitudes; expect a rough ride.
- Advanced shields obtained from "Goliath" Battle Tanks
- Modified Cloaking ability allows for Mr. Cuddles to be invisible to sensors and the naked eye.
STRENGTHS
- Adaptable: Dragonhawks can operate in virtually any terrain and be modified for specialized or generic roles.
- High-Tech: Dragonhawks sport sophisticated droid-assisted aiming, flexible deflector shields, and more.
- Battle Tank: Boasting a powerful array of offensive and defensive capabilities, armor and shielding, Mr. Cuddles is a highly-effective Tank able to stand on it's own against significant opposition and enemy armored units.
- Cloaking Ability: Possibly the rarest feature and most deadly modification is the ability for this monster tank to become completely invisible to sensors and the naked eye.
- One-Tank-Wonder: Able to hold its own against dozens of armored weapons of war, it is truly a terror to behold in action.
- Dead Weight: Dragonhawks are completely immobilized if their repulsers are disabled or destroyed.
- High-Tech: Dragonhawks have plenty of fancy tech - stay away from ion bolts and EMPs.
- Must Uncloak to Fire: Mr. Cuddles must uncloak in order to fire. This uncloaking occurs three seconds before the main weapons are able to fire, which could alert the enemy to its location. It also must remain uncloaked for at least 10 seconds in order to transfer power back to the cloaking device.
- Unbearably slow while cloaked: While Mr. Cuddles can move while cloaked, it moves at 50% its standard speed in order to preserve power and not overload the energy cells.
- No Storage: Due to the integration of advanced systems, all available space for crew and storage has been used up.
DESCRIPTION
Mr. Cuddles was originally purchased as a standard MV-R2 'Dragonhawk' Main Battle Tank two years ago by the Elite War Hogs for use on their operations. Throughout the years, they added modifications and customizations to the the tank, most notably a cloaking device which allowed for the Repulsorlift Tank to cloak when not firing. This was a tremendous help for the small squad, as many of their operations required them to operate with a level of discretion when facing superior numbers of enemies. During the Uprising of Epoch, The War Hogs engaged with the Final Dawns ground forces which featured dozens of VH-140 Goliath Main Battle Tanks. The troop was impressed with the defenses of these deadly tanks, and after the Final Dawn were finally removed from the planet, they went back and harvested the tech found on many of the tanks which were left behind. They incorporated this defensive technology into Mr. Cuddles, and while it was successful, they found that they needed to manage the energy consumption more efficiently in order to help balance all of the advanced systems they had now incorporated into the tank. In order to achieve this, they severely limited the movement of the tank while cloaked in order to draw less power consumption. they also extended the timeframe needed for cloaking transitions, in order to allow for the systems to transfer power from active systems to inactive systems without spiking the power supplies.
The result was quite the frankentank. The deadly combination of Dragonhawk and Goliath systems, along with the sophisticated cloaking abilities, makes Mr. Cuddles a deadly beast on the field. His offensive and defensive capabilities are incredibly affective and lethal, making him a tank with great endurance in any battlefield environment, able to dish out some devastating payloads while able to take a beating. However, His weakness is definitely found in how complex his systems and technologically is. If one system goes down, it can cause a devastating chain reaction that leads to complete failure of all systems.
