SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Tank Hunter: Armed with six Anti-vehicle Cannons, each firing independently, the Multi-Terrain Recon Tank Hunter is able to punch well above its weight class. The staggered nature of the MT-RTH's weapons allows target corrections between each shot, and a continuous volley of fire to make short work of it's target.
  • Nimble Fighter: Mobility and Precision play critical roles in the Mutli-Terrain Recon Tank Hunter's tactics. Faster than more traditional Tanks which relay on Heavy Armor, the light nature of the vehicle and the three banks of antigravity units allow a level of grace few of it's targets can match. This Mobility seconds as the greatest of the MT-RTH's Defenses.
WEAKNESSES
  • Glass Cannon: While fairly well armored against most small arms fire and able to defend against Infantry with it's Repeating Blaster Cannon, once the shield falls the Multi-Terrain Recon Tank Hunter is very vulnerable. The three banks of antigravity units are fairly delicate, and the thin nature of the Alusteel Armor itself will not withstand anti-vehicle weapons or even handheld explosives for long.
  • Power Hungry: Though powered by the reliable Clan Heart Reactor, two thirds of said power are dedicated to the antigravity systems and weapon systems. The remaining power runs the shield generator on low levels with a poor recharge rate, and the extensive sensor systems of the MT-RTH. During Combat many sensors are set to passive settings, recalibrated to more specific functions, or even turned off to help feed the starving shields.
DESCRIPTION
Built on the ideals of most Vrotoa Industries equipment, the Multi-Terrain Recon Tank Hunter emphasizes speed and maneuverability alongside a lethal weapons platform. To achieve this the MT-RTH is smaller and lightweight in comparison to more standard Tank class vehicles. The Alusteel Armor protecting the vehicle is fairly thin for vehicle armor, more suited to protecting against Infantry based weapon systems. This critical weakness is alleviated somewhat with the aid of a Shield system, and the excellent Maneuverability of the Speeder.

The MT-RTH is driven by not one, but three banks of antigravity systems, or Repulsorlift Engines. The largest bank at the nose features twenty (20) individual generators, with the two at the rear corners each featuring ten (10) of these units. Each one is able to move independently, angling themselves to push and pull the Speeder separately. This allows for not only excellent Propulsion, but heightened Maneuverability, moving at speed in any direction nearly instantly. Smaller, Faster, and more Agile than most mainline Battle Tanks, and Walkers, the Multi-Terrain Recon Tank Hunter is designed to outflank it's target, delivering a continuous, ruinous stream of weapons fire while avoiding the enemy's attemps to counter attack.

In ideal conditions the Pilot, who is not only in control of the MT-RTH itself but also the six Particle Cannons via the Tracking Scope built into their console, is supported by a second crew member. The Co-pilot is in control of the Repeating Blaster Cannon and managing the extensive sensor systems of the vehicle more directly. Recalibrating, or turning off unnecessary systems to help power the shield, and monitoring sensor information during Combat. The Repeating Blaster Cannon is built onto a turret system, the weapon moving on a circular rail system and capable of +/-45° degrees of articulation from it's center line giving the Co-pilot the ability to engage with Infantry in nearly any direction.

The Multi-Terrain Recon Tank Hunter's primary weapons, the six Particle Cannons, reside in two separate banks of three. These Weapons Banks are controlled by several hydropneumatic contol arms, correcting the angle of the weapons in response to the targeting computers of the Tracking Scope. As long as the target is more or less in front of the MT-RTH, the Pilot is able to put accurate and consistent weapons fire on nearly any threat across a Battlefield. Though intended for Anti-vehicle Combat, these powerful Cannons are just as capable of engaging small Fortifications, or entrenched enemy positions with devastating effect. While not well suited for engaging Infantry, the potential debris from exploding structures is still dangerous.
