Mutual Interests [Rayl Wilded]

| [member="Rayl Wilded"] |

Ella did not know who Rayl Wilded was. She didn't think he knew who she was either. Normally, the Jedi Knight wouldn't associate herself with those, who worked in the criminal line of work. But she had been prepared to dig her hands, down into the dirt and knew that along the way, she would become dirty.

With that being said, she had learned that Rayl might know a thing or too, after he had responded to her petition for information along channels where, as to be expected, someone like Rayl would be paying attention too. The gamble had paid off and so they had arranged a time and date to speak via holocall.

Lowering the cowl of her dark Jedi robe, Ella entered the communications tower of the Ossus Jedi Temple. There are several Jedi, engaged in quiet conversation with their hosts, along with an assortment of Initiates and Padawan learners, who Ella noticed to be keeping contact with others of their age, that they must have met when visiting the Jedi Temples scattered across the galaxy.

Sitting down in front of a holographic projector, Ella typed in the frequency she had been provided to contact Rayl. Reclining in her seat, she waited to see if the Star Lord would answer. If not, then at least she hadn't wasted the time venturing out into space, to some distant location to meet in person. This was much safer and faster.

The enemy of my enemy is also my friend. Long had the Republic and Sith's war been. Seven or so years of Jedi and their armies fumbling the boloball. With the exception of Carida they'd lost every major battle, which funnily enough he'd been present at aboard a Sith ship to observe. This was back when Black Sun and the Sith were still allies; a lot had sure changed since then. Rayl had maintained much of Black Sun's vast intelligence capabilities after its collapse as a state. Making him one of the most connected people in the knowledge game. It was something he'd prided himself on since taking up with the syndicate.

Rayl activated his holo-projector aboard the Tyrant. It was time to find out just what the Jedi wanted specifically. The pirate lord would spark to life in a blue light before her. She'd see him as a middle aged man, arms crossed with a blank, emotionless face. "Well I finally meet the Jedi. A shame not in person. Now; I sparred my name when I contacted you. Care to return the favor Ms. Jedi? Common courtesy after all. Then we can get down to business".

"My name is Ella Nova. Thank you for meeting with me, Rayl."

Tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, the Jedi Knight continued to speak. "I have made contact with you with concerns about the One Sith. I am looking to learn the names, locations, ranks and current whereabouts- as well as any other information- in concerns to the members of the One Sith's hierarchy."

"I am also looking for another Sith Lord by the name of Darth Vyrassu. I do not believe he is a member of the One Sith's leadership, but he is a person of interest."

As an afterthought, Ella cut in before Rayl could begin speaking. "Oh, and I am interested in learning how the One Sith came to formation, all those years ago. Who is the Dark Lord of the Sith?"

Rayl raised his right arm, placing the hand on his chin. "That's quite the... Library of information you want. Information is as good as currency Ms. Nova. Sometimes better. And as a businessman in such an industry; I do not give away things for free. So I'll ask for the simplest thing you can give me in exchange. Your current knowledge on the Sith, and anything you learn in the future about them. I've never made it a secret that I have a large grudge, well more of a hate, against the Empire. So I think we can mutually work together now and in the future on the matter. If you would agree". And he'd hope she would. For seven years now he'd been trying to track down one of the Sith Lord's in the leadership to no avail. Not even a breath of a name or an image. It was this man that drove him, and why he wanted to help The Republic.

Ella contemplated her position. She could explain that she had just been given permission by the Jedi Grandmaster, [member="Corvus Raaf"], to begin an investigation into the One Sith and then track them down, so as to bring them to justice. That [member="Carn Dista"] had already joined the task force, with other Jedi along the way.

But she was wiser than that. She did not know who Rayl Wilded was. The particulars regarding information being a currency was a trigger warning. This man dealt in information, which could easily be sold to the Sith, as it could be to the Jedi; and the problem with holocall, was that the two of them was not in the same way. Ella couldn't tell if the man was lying. Her powers in the Force didn't account for several lightyears between Ossus and wherever Rayl was communicating from.

Ella said. "A Sith Lord by the name of Darth Vyrassu recently made a series of threats against the Galactic Republic. He seems to have a large network and base of power, because he made the threats on several worlds, in a combined and joint effort by cultists that serve him. He is a person of interest, that the Republic wants brought in."

"I am eager for the two of us to work together, but we have to establish a level of trust first, before we can begin that work. If the Sith were to discover that the Jedi have formed this task force to hunt down the likes of Vyrassu, then the operation would be put in jeopardy. Understand?"

"Of course. And I understand there will be that trust issue. We'll work on the trust thing". If she'd ask around other Jedi she'd stumble on who he was. He'd been an enemy of The Republic for decades. Pirating against them in the southern worlds long before the One Sith came to be. Even warred against them as he was in Black Sun on more than one occasion. Can't forget the massive Deck of 52 bounty. Times change though, he tried to warn them of Popo being a crime lord when he was Chancellor. They didn't listen and the Hutt made a fortune from self given arms contracts to his own company. That was a laugh. Though the war against the Sith that Black Sun fought for years against them would be evident of his change of heart. They also caused the strife that lead the state to fracture and fail. What really broke all ties to them was the fact they killed his wife, and took his daughter. Rayl was an eternal enemy of the Sith. Whether the Jedi would believe him or not.

"This Darth Vyrassu, I've never heard his name. I remember the transmission he sent out though. Sith don't make idle threats. What chances he'll get anyone to work for him though is another matter". Rayl returned to his folded arms position. "The best bounty hunters are all in favor of The Republic. Mandalorian, Omegan remnants, and the Cartel doesn't wish to rock the boat. So unless the Prime has Hunters, I doubt much will come from anything but the Sith's own assassin's. I can mobilize my resources in Sith space to begin scoping for him if you'd like. And begin working the Underground for information". Someone out there would know something about this. Law of average put it well within the realm of possibility. And he'd find them.

"Let it be understood that we are only here to garner information about Darth Vyrassu and other Sith. I am not here to hire you to begin hunting down Vyrassu, nor do I want anyone you know to do so either. The plan is to find, capture and detain Vyrassu, until he can be brought before a Republic court and tried to his crimes."

"Capturing Vyrassu would also give us an idea about the One Sith, something that the Republic has sorely been missing. The reason why the One Sith have done so much is because they understood their enemy. I am here to learn, Rayl. So teach me what you can."

Ella moved on. If Vyrassu was going to be found, then Rayl was on the case now. Little was known about him, so talking more about him was futile. She asked again: "Who is the Dark Lord of the Sith?"

"Very well. Then I'll educate you to the best of my abilities. The Dark Lord, known only as the Emperor to most. Is as you know the supreme leader of the One Sith. There is very little information about this person, but there is some to be pieced togeather. Back during the days of the Sith Empire. The Empire of my time at least. I know he played no part in its direct operation. Voracious, Arcis, Vornskr. They were the rulers and were subject to no one until usurped. Then the Jedi Order, Republic and Mandalorian forces destroyed the Empire". Rayl stepped out of view of the camera a moment, but kept speaking. "I have a theory though that the Dark Lord predates this time. And there are facts to substantiate this. It was after the Empires fall that he forged together the surviving Sith Lords to his rule, forming the One Sith to the galactic west of The Republic. This means that he is more powerful than Darth Vornskr, who still serves him. Interesting to note that".

Rayl came back into the picture as he adjusted the camera. He figured he'd be here a while so sitting would be a good idea. Thus he'd pulled up a chair and took a seat once things were proper. "Force users as I understand. Get more powerful as they get older. Because they've learned, trained, experienced and applied themselves more. So I'd place him to be around seventy to eighty years of age by now going off Vornskr. But, he'd never taken to the politics of the Empire, the struggle for control. Odd for a Sith unless he's had a very long running plan. Longer than the continuous power struggles the Empire faced. That could make him well over a hundred years old, maybe more. There are species who live a very long time. So its quite possible". Rayl leaned back, taking a more relaxed position.

"And there is one other thing. This is just hearsay, but there are rumors that have been spread the last few years as to where the Emperor was born. The three most said by far are Korriban, Bonadan, and Voss. They may be worth looking into, there might be records or legends of him".

Jack pot. As Rayl spoke, Arsix sat in the background, recording everything the crime lord told her. She would later display the communications to Jedi Master [member="Carn Dista"] and the other Jedi who would form apart of his task force.

"Thank you, Rayl. This is precisely the type of information that has been missing in the ensuing years, since the Battle of Coruscant." She decided to open up to him a bit. "I was hurt during that battle, when the One Sith first revealed themselves. I've only just come back to active service as a Jedi Knight."

"The Jedi have been lost. The dark side has clouded our perception of the Force. This is why the Republic has lost so many engagements with the One Sith's Empire, since it was formed back in 837. It is my job to find more about the One Sith. You are helping me do that."

Ella went back to the topic at hand. She had heard three names. Voracitos, Arcis and Vornskr. She had heard of the latter Sith Lord by reputation alone. But the other two were a mystery, to her at least. She would consult the archives later on.

"Could you tell me more about these Sith? You said their names were Voracitos, Arcis and Vornskr. I need to know their real names, before they became a Sith Lord. Where they were born and the locations that they normally visit. If you know there current whereabouts, then where are they? Did they teach anyone in the ways of the dark side? Any associates or servants that could be found and questioned? Any battles or crimes that you know they have committed?"

She was almost sorry for Rayl. That was a lot of questions. But they needed to be answered. Leaning back in her seat, she and Arsix listened fervently to the Star Lord's answers. She was here to learn and Rayl Wilded was the teacher.

"Well that's good then. The me helping part". If this information was useful to them, the more he gave the more he'd receive in good turn. And with it the better the chance he'd have to exact revenge. "I'd much rather see The Republic come out on top of the war than the Sith. Least you arn't hunting me down like they are". Rayl fully realized he was just tossing himself into the frying pan with The Republic on this. He wanted to. A good crime lord always had a few routes of escape though. And they'd yet to lay a finger on him personally. "Voracious, Arcis and Vornskr. One more in the line before Arcis too as Emperors go. Darth Voracious I know little about. He was supposed to be some really really fat guy who rode around on a hover throne before he was assassinated. So he's dead as far as I know. Tyrin Ardik did the deed and ruled next. His rule lasted a while and he greatly expanded the Empire. It was around that time I myself signed on as a member of Black Sun. Ardik was deposed by Arcis with help by a mans name you should know. Mikhail Shorn, the Thronebreaker. A well deserved title". Ardik was said to have been killed, but he escaped. Can't believe the propaganda they put out, but where he went or is now I haven't a clue. Sith Lords are good at hiding. Arcis before he took the throne by force was named Dranok Lussk, an Admiral of excellent quality so I'm told. His rule too saw expansion, and war. But like every Emperor before he was usurped. This time by Darth Vornskr. Their two legions fought each other in the capitol of Dromund Kass. The Black Blades defeated the 501st and Vornskr took the throne. Both are still alive as is their legions".

That was quite a bit of information laid down and but the tip of the iceberg that knew of the Sith. Rayl wasn't going to keep blathering on without asking for something back right now. That was apart of what he wanted. "Now before I go on. I want to know what you do. So other than Vornskr. Who do you know of the Sith's ruling council"?

[member="Rayl Wilded"]

"I, myself, know very little about the Sith. I wasn't a Jedi when the Republic went to war with the Sith Empire. I've never encountered the Sith Lords we spoke about. I only heard of Vyrassu when he made his threats. I've only just learned that there was a Voracious and Arcis today. I knew about Vornskr because of his reputation in the Jedi Order. I think I saw him once, when the Sith attacked the Jedi Temple on Coruscant."

"I know little about the Sith's ruling council. If you could pass on their names to me, then I am sure I can discover more information about them."

Ella added an extra question. "Who is Tyrin Ardik? Is he still alive?"

"Do they seriously not teach recent history or something to Padawans. The Republic / Sith Empire War was a pivotal turning point in the balance of galactic power. It in large part lead to the very situation that exists now. Each of its leaders were in direct responsibility for the wars cause. And many are still alive today. If you don't know these things maybe that is why the Jedi keep losing and falling to the Dark Side. They've failed to teach the past and the horrible things you face. With no understanding of your enemies history, motives and goals you are doomed. I will have to rectify this. What a bother". Rayl shook his head. If Nova was testament to others of her age in the order. It had fallen a long ways since the days of Selena Halcyon. Then again, in a way, so had he.

"Tyrin is of no consequence now. No one has seem him since they day he was run out from the Citadel on Dromund Kass. Could be alive and in hiding, could be dead. He'd be working on killing Sith and not Jedi if you're wondering. But that happened nearly a decade ago".

"I feel that we need to meet in person Ms. Nova. You've far more questions than I feel comfortable answering over hyperspace communications. And I need someone who can give answers to my questions. Which you don't have. Choose an even tempered Master to accompany you. One that has holds knowledge of the present. And if you can has fought in the last Sith War. I will open this channel again in 72 hours. You have until then to accomplish that task and agree to a meeting location if you wish to obtain any more information. I will await your reply Ms. Nova. Star Lord out". Rayl cut the communications. He wasn't to happy she couldn't give him anything in return as he asked. So he imposed those terms to facilitate his needs. She'd comply, or not. Rayl would obtain the knowledge he sought sooner or latter, and he was a very patient man.
