The first dedicated dropship created by Arms Dynamics, the Buzzard Landing Craft (designated the N-5a under the Peacekeeper Corps), is a dedicated starship designed to carry infantry and armored vehicles through a flak screen to landing zones secured by gunships and vanguard infantry. The Buzzard can easily carry superheavy class tanks, APCs, and scout speeders and can deploy them from its forward assault ramp rapidly and directly into combat. The N-5a can also carry infantry both for short drops and long missions, with the ability to be fitted with medical facilities to act as a mobile field hospital. Refueling variants also exist as utility vessels, resupplying forward elements or allowing ground based fighters to operate from captured or improvised spaceports.
