Na-Nihilus Soth
- BACKGROUND
-
The Givin have always found themselves on the right side of history. As a species, they have come to realize that all answers can be found in mathematical probability, even the outcomes of the galaxy's seemingly endless wars. This was only natural considering their homeworld, Yag'Dhul, remains ever chaotic, forcing the species to find some pattern to the chaos that was the living galaxy.
Na-Nihilus Soth was born into a family of shipbuilders, a trade not at all uncommon for the Givin people but one they were immensely proud of nonetheless. Business was always good, as it always was considering just how many ships were destroyed and needed replacing as the galaxy attempted to reunify under various governments. Naturally, this era of lawlessness and chaos forced the Givin people to face hard truths that very few good options remained for galactic stability. The Sith were not considered, for the inherent nature of the Sith was conquest and a failure to unify under a single leader for more than a few decades at most. The Galatic Alliance, in contrast, seemed a far safer option, though even that was little comfort. The Alliance, for all its efforts to restore peace and justice to the galaxy, largely resembled the various variations of the Galatic Republic of old. Even a thousand years on, many Givin regret the disastrous choice to secede from the Old Republic and join the Confederacy of Independent Systems. At the time, the Confederacy seemed the logical choice for Yag'Dhul and its continued prosperity. Under Count Dooku, the massive droid army and vast wealth of the Confederacy seemed destined to overwhelm the demilitarized Republic and secure itself as a rival superpower in the galaxy.
Three bloody years of conflict later, the droid army was deactivated and Dooku was dead, along with every member of the Separatist Council. The Givin were forcibly dragged into the new Empire and all but enslaved for their treason, a state that lasted until Yag'Dhul's liberation by the Alliance to Restore the Republic. Countless generations followed the fall of the Empire, but now Yag'Dhul's continued membership in the Galatic Alliance is tenuous at best. While the planets leadership continues to have faith in the Alliance and the Jedi, many Givin have chosen to abandon their homeworld for more logical governments, governments who they believe will inevitably triumph.Soth is one such individual.
Once a humble Captain in the Yag'Dhul defense fleet, Soth gathered a clique of like-minded individuals who believed that the Alliance was doomed to collapse, whether that be from its powerful adversaries or its internal strife. Of course, the natural choice for Soth and his conspirators was the reborn Confederacy, a government ideal for the Givin not only for its commitment to the freedom of all peoples but also because it provided a chance to right an ancient wrong. The old Confederacy was destined for victory, but it was brought low by the machinations of the hidden Sith and their allies. Once more, the Givin will find themselves on the right side of history, the metal boot of the droid armies shall deliver true freedom to the entire galaxy.By any means necessary.
- PERSONALITY
-
Mathematics, the invisible building blocks of the universe, drives every decision made by Soth. This is not unusual for the Givin whose standard greeting is to offer up a complex mathematical equation for their fellow Givin to solve. Of course, this aspect is toned down when working with individuals of other species, but this does leave little room for quirks such as humor. Soth is a very matter-of-fact being, a trait that some may love and many others despise, but these social cues are lost on one who is simply looking for a solution to any given problem.
This mathematical mindset combined with a life in the Navy has left Soth with the mentality of a droid, or at least that is how he may appear to others. But he is far from opposed to working with others, especially those who share his cause. Of course, there is more to the Givin, including a desire to prove himself the superior tactician. The Navy is his life, and he will stop at nothing to ensure that he is the master of his craft.
- SKILLS

TBD
- STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
-
STRENGTHS
+Efficency At All Costs - Soth does not like surprises, especially in battle. Ships under his command rarely suffer any interruptions to their battle capabilities and any inefficiencies are eliminated as soon as they appear.
+Learn and Adapt- Every battle is a learning opportunity, whether it be a victory or a defeat. One battle may end in a withdrawal, but Soth will ensure the next is an overwhelming victory.
WEAKNESSES
-Hardly an Equal - Givin are very... honest. When they see something, it's rare for them to keep it to themselves. Soth lacks the social skills most other sentient species have mastered, making any alliance difficult.
-Command From a Distance - Outside of rare boarding actions, naval battles involve very little personal combat. While not entirely incapable of self-defense, Soth will not hold up to a battle with a trained soldier.
