STRENGTHS
- Your Hate Has Made You Powerful. When used as a lightsaber core, the properties of these corrupted crystals serve as a natural focus for the Dark Side of the Force, channeling the wielder's rage into powerful strikes. Even if not used in a lightsaber, the crystals could serve as a meditative focus for a Dark Side acolyte.
- Unstable. This is the work of a 13 year old Sith sorcerer wannabe. When used as a lightsaber crystal, the produced blade crackled with unstable energy, much like with a cracked crystal. This comes with no warranty or guarantee against explosions.
- Requires a connection to the Force. Anything that negates or nullifies the presence of the Force renders this useless as anything other than a pretty quartz point.
- Vulnerable to Sonics. Sonic weaponry can easily shatter the crystals.
Having discovered an ancient temple on Korriban where Sith constructed their lightsabers, and having researched the significance of the lightsaber to Sith culture, the would-be Sith sorcerer known as
Micah tol Powl
set out to create something special for two of his friends. Well, honestly, it was really intended to just be for Naami (hence the name), but he wound up with a third crystal that survived the creation process and hadn't wanted to waste it.As Sith believe in wasting nothing, these crystals were recycled from the lightsabers of Jedi who had just left them laying on the ground. Sure, it was because they were dead, but leave it to the Jedi to just litter and leave their trash all over the place. The standard practice would have been to merely bleed the crystal, but the Cathar wanted to do something special for the Iridonian boy. Plus, the Cathar was honestly curious if he could even pull it off.
That curiosity seemed more skepticism, as the Rho kit blew up no less than two academy alchemy labs in his attempts. The first was a minor miscalculation. The second was... well, honestly, he still didn't know what had gone wrong with the second attempt, but the third actually worked (to his own surprise more than anyones). Which was good, because if the cat had blown up another lab he was certain that he'd probably be exiled and the bills sent to his parents. Plus, it would hopefully save his alchemy grade in time for mid-terms.
Only three such crystals were made. And by "made" I mean survived the cat's learn-as-you-go method of high school shop classing Sith alchemy. One was kept by the creator while the remaining two were presented as gifts to
Naamino Zuukamano
and
Kivah
in recognition for the trials and ordeals that the Cathar had overcome with the aid of these companions.Out Of Character Info
