Naboo

For the first time in seven years, since he had escaped from the planet so unexpectedly, Fletcher had returned to his home planet with his master, though after some debate. He lived on the outskirts of Kaadara, an oceanside city in the Northern reaches of Naboo. There were many native species around the outskirts of Kaadara, however most were relatively harmless. This particular city was well known for their cooperation with Gungans, but was also known for its excessive hunting of other non-intellectual natives that lived around the area.

Familiar with the climate of Naboo, he chose to wear only the traditional Jedi tunic and loose fitting trousers. Also knowing how unpredictable locals and wildlife could be, he opted to bring his lightsaber along. He led the way, walking towards a majestic looking building, overgrown with weeds and other plants. The wildlife scurried out the way as they made their way towards the seemingly abandoned house. He stared at the house for a moment in silence. He wondered what would have happened if none of this had ever happened.

Memories flooded back to him, back to a time when they lived here peacefully and the Akanbar siblings weren't out to kill each other or seek revenge on another. He was the fortunate one, he had survived both his siblings' murder attempts and their lures to the dark side. His younger sister hadn't been so lucky. Now he was here, he realised it probably wasn't the best idea to come back but he knew it was something that had to be done if he truly wanted to let it go, stop himself from seeking revenge. He knew it was for the best, to remember the memories they once had and accept that his siblings were lost, they were too corrupted to turn back, they were as good as dead.

He walked into the house, the door wide open as though greeting him. The inside of the house was relatively unharmed from the chaos that had gone on years before. The walls had begun seeping with some sort of green plant but all the furniture was in place, only the odd chair strewn across the floor.

Of course he had not told the entire truth to Ana when he said he wanted to come to Naboo train in a different terrain. He had been quite persuasive of that. He couldn't tell if she was angry at him or not, he hadn't really been paying attention.

Anastasia held mixed feelings when it came to the planet of Naboo. It was beautiful for sure however it never was a place that Ana actually saw herself visiting. Selfish reasons really that she tended to keep to herself as nobody needed to know. The Rally Master tried to protest that they ought not go there but he seemed so adamant about going that Ana couldn't bring herself to say no to him. If he wanted to train on different terrain Ana was happy to oblige him after all the Protectore was friendly with them, maybe?

A gently sigh escaped her lips as they entered what had been his home. Ana could only imagine how it must feel to be back at this place after everything that had gone on. She herself dare not even go back to the scene of her childhood. The memories were far too painful for anything like that. She would give him the time he needed to work through things and if he needed her she would be right here for him.

"Is this where you grew up?" She questioned as she walked though the home with him. Ana as always was wearing her armor. It had become a big part of whom she was over the past few years. One day she feared Fletcher would grow up and not need her anymore after all he was a Jedi. She would be happy for them though after all she did kind of regard him as her son. He She wanted to take care of the boy whom had nothing. He may not need a mother but Ana was there anyway.

He looked around for a moment before sighing and nodding. "Yes." he said quietly. He wasn't sure how it made him feel being here, though he knew it was mostly anger and regret. It wasn't his parents that upset him, he never knew them, it was the siblings he'd all considered lost. But this place housed too many happy memories to become overridden with bad ones.

Suddenly feeling selfish for bringing his master here, he turned to her, looking ashamed. "I'm sorry I brought you here." he said, before walking past her and back outside. He avoided her eyes momentarily.

As much as he loved Anastasia, replacing the parental figure he'd never had, he couldn't help but feel wrong to take her to a place that wasn't her concern. He trusted her with everything but he didn't want to bombard her with too many personal affairs. He saw it best to move on from the past, stop seeking revenge and inevitably become a better Jedi.

"It's brave of you coming back here after all that occurred." She spoke as she looked to some pictures on a desk. She had a feeling that these other faces were his lost siblings. Ana too had lost her siblings a long time ago but didn't know it until she did try to reconnect. Her brothers were lost to her and it was painful even now and even though she had Azrael. If she didn't have Az Ana would still be a lost little girl out there in the galaxy trying to make her way through things. Honestly she doubted if she would even made it.

As he apologized Ana spun around and gave him a hug rather abruptly. "There is nothing to be sorry about. If coming here helps you heal and comes to terms with things I'm all for it and I support you 100%. If you need to talk as well please know that I'm here for you." She didn't wish to pry into his life because she knew she wouldn't like if someone tried to pry in hers. If he felt like speaking Ana would allow him to speak.

Brave. He felt like a coward for leaving in the first place. He let his sister die and did nothing but watch. Sighing, he shrugged it off and didn't look back over his shoulder. There was something quite strange about your siblings turning against each other and fighting to the death. It just went to show that no matter how well you thought you knew a person, they could always turn on you and stab you in the back. The world was a dark place and it was clear that even the lightest of people can fall into shadows. Fletcher didn't trust anyone, with the exception of Anastasia, but only because she had saved his life numerous times before and because she trusted him back.

Shocked by the sudden hug, he hesitated before hugging back, smiling sadly. "I know, thank you. You're always there for me. This is my past-" he said, gesturing to the old building. "But you are what I have now, and that's all I need." he said. He had met Anastasia when he was around eleven years old, more or less, since then she had replaced everything he either lost or never had. She was a mother, sister, teacher and friend to him, which was all he ever wanted.

"I'm here, it will be alright. Why don't you show me around Naboo? I have never been here before." It was too sad she was sure for him to back here after all of this time. It was better for him to give her a tour than the two lingering on the past. They could only look to the future which was a lesson that Ana had learned the hard way. She didn't watch Fletcher to end up learning the way she did. He had grown to be more than a student to her and instead like a son. She was proud of him and what it was he was becoming.

"It's not really an exciting planet." he smiled and wandered outside. "Most of it is just swamps or oceans." which wasn't even an understatement. But he continued on, leading her to Kaadara. "Kaadara is popular with tourists so I used to meet a diversity of people from all over the galaxy. It was nice living here, just a simple oceanside town." he shrugged and walked through the greenery. It had been so long since he was here, it just felt strange now. Though he'd never felt homesick for Kaadara in particular, more Naboo in general. Ana was the last person he had and he felt that by bringing her here would somewhat strengthen their bond and would maybe open up more of her past she hadn't spoken about before. As Naboo was a largely unspoiled planet, there were many species of creatures native to Naboo that lived in the forest biome. He was grateful to his master for everything. For taking him on as a Padawan, even when he was too old to begin training as a youngling at ten. But mostly for understanding him, something he could never put into words.

"I am due for something non exciting to happen. Take me around to all of the tourist places." When Ana went somewhere it was all for some war. It wasn't for vacation or relaxation. The young woman had tried all of that before but it never worked for her. It only ended up in pain and sorrow. Ana had a feeling that she would watch him grow and learn before he ended up going his own way. She understood that she couldn't expect him to join her clan or to stay with the Mandalorians. So while she still had him and before the wars began Ana was glad they could just have fun.

"One day I ought to introduce you to others at the different Jedi Temples where many of the other Jedi Masters are. There many different masters that are less aggressive than I. Councilors and such. You have been with me for a bit now. Is this the type of Jedi you want to be? " She only asked because she cared a great deal for him and only wanted.

"It's usually where all the rich people go. Everything is really expensive here, which is why we didn't live in the actual city itself." he said as they approached the small oceanside city. Most of the buildings on Naboo looked the same, with exquisite designs and patterns in each structure. It was something you could never grow used to, no matter how long you lived here for.

"Yes, of course it is. It's all I've ever wanted to be." he said, smiling at her.

"Well, lets go and have fun. If there is anything you want we can get it on me." Credits were not something that Ana had to worry about much. She made plenty from her job plus she was the CEO of a company. It didn't make much in the way of credits but it was still did good work. Ana would be happy to get him something that would make him smile.

"I know I guess I just want to ensure that I'm giving you what it is you need. If there is a certain thing about the Jedi you want to learn let me know. Since it's your dream I want to help you become what you dreamed of. There are many different abilities that I could teach you so don't be afraid to ask," she smiled. As a little girl Ana had fairy tails of being a princess and making her family even though they were dead proud of her. She wanted to help him with his that seemed reachable.

"You're far too kind to me." he smiled and shook his head. "Were there a lot of oceans where you grew up?" he asked out of curiosity as he walked into the city. Fletcher had grown up by the sea and had always known how to swim, unlike people from planets such as Tatooine. The city wasn't exactly overrun with tourists at this time of the year but it was still fairly busy nonetheless.

"You always give me what I need. I couldn't ask for a better teacher. If you're teaching me everything you know then I must turn out to be an amazing Jedi." he smiled at her and carried on walking into the city centre. Anastasia had helped him with everything since he was ten years old, something he was truly grateful for.

"No, it wasn't until a few years ago that I saw my first ocean." Ana didn't wish to tell her padawan that she grew up in the cell. It was her past that sometimes she wished that she could forget. It was nice though that she could spoil him and give him the things that she wished that she had. It was kind of living the childhood she wanted though him until she settled down herself of course.

"When you dreamed about the Jedi, what is it that you dreamed of?" It was nice that he was confident about his training. Ana did all that she could do to assist in his training. She wanted to be sure that we was ready when war came because it was coming rather quickly and Ana had a feeling he would wish to be by her side through it. He was like that.

"Wait, what planet are you from?" he asked, wondering what planet it was that didn't have an ocean. "What was it like?" Not a lot of planets were as unspoiled as Naboo, Fletcher hated planets covered in huge industrial cities. He wasn't particularly fond of Coruscant and Nar Shaada but would go there if needed.

"Well I wanted to help people and protect the innocent. I wanted to make up for the wrong my siblings did and try to bring balance." he sighed. "I thought that being Jedi was a very proud statement, something you'd want to be, someone you look up to, and it is." he smiled at her.

"I'm not sure actually as I only spent three years with my family before I was taken. When people ask normally I'll say Mandalore as it is the only home I have known. I was a slave until a few years ago." Ana could't lie to him, that wasn't how one bonded with ones padawan. She had to be truthful to him about this.

"I have always been more of a Mando Jedi than anything else and yes I would like to think that we all do good work. You do as well already and your a quick learner. Everything can be used a lesson but for now I think we still have some fun. Show me around Naboo I have never been here before. It looks like a beautiful place." She lightly smiled as Ana they entered the little marketplace.

Fletcher stayed silent for a moment after hearing her speak. "You did well to become a knight." he said finally. It wasn't the first time he'd heard of slavery happening but it was surprising to hear about it happening to someone you know well. To be taken and put into slavery was a horrible crime, if only the Jedi had power over it.

Staying close to her side, he smiled at her then looked around before subtly pointing to a Gungan. "Gungans. They guard the city. They're native here and there's four times as many Gungans as people on this planet." he said before whispering. "But they're kind of frustrating to talk to."

[member="Anastasia Rade"]

Ana was more proud of what she did to become a Mandalorian than of her Knighthood. She had been through a lot and at times she still did have nightmares of what had happened. It was hard at times and overwhelming but she was able to get over the hump. Normally when she felt that way Ana would go off on her own for a few days to just relax and pull herself together on her own. The past was not something that she wished to affect her future.

"Hard to understand?" She had never seen a Gungan until now she she wasn't sure why they were frustrating. She would thing guards of a city would be a good thing to have.

[member="Fletcher Lorcan"]

"Well sometimes. They're very annoying too." he said, though of course it didn't apply to the whole species as he was over emphasising.

He wandered through the market, looking at each stall as he passed, before walking to the end of the city where the ocean and the beach, full of tourists, was. It felt so natural to be here and this place had so many memories. But he refused to dwell on the past and wanted to spend much needed time with his master.

"Naboo is your past, you should remember the good times fondly but you need to move towards the future. Don't let the past and the Gugans affect you either. The key is to learn from the past. Doing so will help you become a better Jedi." Ana smiled lightly placing her hand on his shoulder. She could understand why he brought her here. His family was gone and though it was beautiful here this place wouldn't help him heal. Ana was here for her young student and she hoped that he knew and understood that. Ana would never leave him unless he no longer needed her.

"Now, lets have some fun. What is it that you would like to do?" This was his home so Ana would allow him to pick the activity.
