With the state of affairs of both the Galactic Alliance and the galaxy as a whole, it had become clear that it was time for Naboo to rely on its own fleet for system wide protection. That meant finding and allocating the funds necessary to build a Star Defender. The N-20SD was designed and manufactured by RNS for the Royal Security Force of Naboo. Designed to fulfill one purpose, the defense of the system, hangars were foregone in its design, in order to allocate the room necessary to support the vast array of armaments and defenses that were required for this vessel. Leaving the job of starfighter squadrons to fall elsewhere, the ship's primary roll is to establish a front-line command in the event of attack. While it boasts a large variety of weaponry, including the powerful Electromagnetic Plasma Cannons and Hyper Velocity Cannons, the majority of its weapons systems are positioned above the belly of the craft, leaving it less able to actively protect itself from below.
