OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
The idea behind the Plus-series Poison bolt is a rather simple one, but no less effective for it. In their criminal endeavors, the people of Nadir encounter Force-wielding enemies sooner or later.
A normal particle bolt will explode upon hitting an obstacle, which is in and of itself effective against Space-mages. The dioxis gas is likewise energized to an unstable degree, but instead of exploding violently, an impact merely interrupts the field containing the bolt. This in turn releases the poisonous gas in a rapidly expanding cloud around the point of contact.
In its highly excited state, the molecules of dioxis lose what little color they usually possess, generating a nigh-invisible bolt. Though the Force would still warn a targeted Space mage, it’s extremely difficult to block something that can’t be seen.
Naturally, Force users are well-known for their ability to resist poisons. This, however, requires that the Force user concentrate on the toxin in their body, actively staving off its effects. If they are at the same time also assaulted by other attacks, the split in attention is likely to cause their efforts to fail. Dioxis is a fast-acting agent, effective against most carbon-based lifeforms, and thus chosen for this purpose simply because that is by far the most prevalent form of life in the galaxy.
Ultimately, the Plus-series Poison bolt is meant to give an unexpected edge to anyone who finds themselves facing a Force user. It does its job well, but it still requires a competent marksman and a great tenacity to finish off the poisoned target.
Intent: Give NFUs a new option for combating Force users.

Poison bolt
The bolts formed from this gas mixture are highly poisonous, as dioxis gas is extremely poisonous for most carbon-based lifeforms
Upon hitting a solid object or an energy field, the suspended poison previously contained by the bolt is released in a cloud centered around the point of contact.
The pale bolt is very difficult to spot and thus harder to block or deflect
Friendly fire is a real concern for anyone using this mixture
No kinetic or energy damage whatsoever
