NADIR-ZAHI
Living the vast majority of his life, Nadir spent his time on Geminidae learning how to navigate. How to navigate his training in the Soller-Navah. How to read both books and people. How to climb, how to master language. How to fight, how to defend himself and those he cared for. When he knew how and when to move, he explored as much of his homeworld as he could. Nadir found himself fascinated with the natural beauty of Gemindae. Though, he couldn’t help but wonder what beauty lay beyond the atmosphere he’d grown so familiar with.
Curiosity killed the cat.
He bent the rules, just slightly. He convinced an Ambassador to take him offworld on a delegation bound for a planet somewhere in the Mid Rim, reasoning that a Novitae could help organize and synthesize information in the most equitable way to keep their records of foreign politics and cultures up to date. He only knew that this was the only way to get off of Geminidae and see what the larger Galaxy had in store for him. It worked andhe said his goodbyes. He got on board and left his home behind. Though, his adventures didn’t stop there. He smuggled on ship after ship, apparently making his way north andtaking note of every planet he visited.
Touching down on a planet named Serenno was the turning point. He stayed there, fascinated by the people and held captive by the need to help others that struggled in the wake, and aftermath, of war. It seemed that the entire Galaxy heaved and rippled from the effects of it. He couldn’t help the entire Galaxy, not yet. He enlisted into the budding First Order, found his way into the ranks of the Praetorian Knights. Just as with his previous Order, he worked tirelessly at his craft. He found friends in those he served with and in those he was meant to serve. At present, he can’t imagine himself anywhere else.

“He said what he meant; he was puzzled if you did not.”
• Practically Sharp: | Nadir, a soldier as much as a budding scholar, prides himself on thinking things through whenever he can. He has a tendency to weigh all options and rank them quickly in order to make the best decision, either for himself or others. Being decisive and near certain of one’s actions is the best way to be, in his opinion. This quick and thorough thinking extends through not only his intellectual and combative studies but also in emotional intelligence. He is often self-reflective, intimately coming to know his own emotions, faults, and personal advantages. It’s his first love, before philosophy, history, or combat.
• A Book A Day: | Being of the Novitae caste, the Geminian tends to devour books at an alarming rate. Though blind, his love of books and knowledge was never compromised. Using methods like Nosk’alam, the braille version of Nexilis, and the whistle tones found in Nosk’lum, Nadir tends to go through any information put in front of him at lightning speed. He’s developed extra sensitivity in his hands to be able to accomplish this, which enhances not only his reading ability and comprehension but also his natural climbing ability.
• Innovative: | He’s always found creative ways to come up with solutions to problems that cross his path, everything from the mundane concerns to philosophical ones.
• Persistent: | Once he sets his mind on something, he’s determined to get it done come hell or high water. Unless, of course, there’s no perceivable way the situation could be realistically resolved. He’s stubborn, perhaps to a fault, in this regard.
• Combatant: | Favoring staffs, lightsabers, and hand-to-hand combat, Nadir refined his skills in his time in the Soller-Navah and continues to do so within the ranks of the First Order. He’s proficient with a typical lightsaber and favors Ky’ret Martial Arts in unarmed combat.
• Climber’s Boon: | Being a Geniminae has its perks. They have an aptitude for agility and can climb surfaces with relative ease thanks to the structure of his fingers and fingertips. Being blind is an advantage in this case, allowing his fingers to develop extra sensitivity and awareness to find safe routes while climbing after decades of practice.
• What of the Galaxy?: | Geminidae has only recently exited isolation in the past few decades and, though he has traveled some, Nadir has never stopped long enough to thoroughly explore and learn about any planet hands-on other than from Serenno. The Galaxy that awaits is vast and far more expansive than they first encountered. Much of it is yet to be explored and much more of its knowledge has yet to be discovered.
• Single-Minded: | Though persistence can be a strength for the Knight, there have been times when he’s gotten into trouble because he refused to change course. At times he can even be combative when it comes to changes in plans, especially if he believes those plans to be absolutely necessary.
• Fierce Loyalty: | Loyalty has its cost on all involved. Nadir tends to pour himself into people he trusts as well as causes that he devotes himself to. Betrayal would cut deep if it ever occurred.
•Firearms: | Nadir lacks training and knowledge of short and long-ranged firearms. He’s not a great shot and prefers to steer clear of them if he can.
• On the Mend: | Due to his blood composition, blood transfusions, medications, and drugs used in medical treatment may be ineffective. Bacta works, though at a much slower rate than the average being, but may not work for injuries that run their course quickly. Serious or potentially lethal injuries require immediate medical attention.
