Generalized Description: Born upon a Sun-baked world and forged by the fire's of war, Naiad embodies the martial perfection many Soldier's strive to achieve. His ebony flesh flows smoothly atop an athletic frame of taut, rippling muscle. Adhering to military protocol, and zealously taking it steps further, Naiad religiously shaves his scalp with pungent oils, all the while keeping a well-groomed goatee. Below his cherished face, his body is a patchwork of scars, ranging from simple lacerations to near-fatal puncture wounds, each having their own story to tell. Other than the echoes of combat sewn into his very flesh, Naiad's shoulders were inked with two distinguishing marks. The First was the Crest of the Sun Guard, a blazing ochre star haloed by fire, while much of his encrypted personal details, such as blood type and other identifying marks were stenciled on the other.
Personality Details: During the time he had spent in the hallowed ranks of the Sun Guard, Naiad was noted to be a kind-hearted and caring individual off the battlefield, becoming something else entirely as soon as his combat boots had touched the ground. When an Operation would begin, the Thyrsian would become taciturn and ruthless; doing whatever was required of him to get the job done, and returning the men under his command back to their Port of Call safely. With such a curious dynamic becoming second nature, Naiad had earned the War Name; Two-Face from his erstwhile comrades in the Mercenary Outfit.
Strengths:
- The Thyrsian Way: Through the cultural disparities between the Daughters of Eshan and the Sons of Thyrsus, a unique artform of combat was born among their peoples that shared a similar baseline trait. The ability, when religiously drilled into their body, mind, and soul, was being able to predict and adapt to their opponent - by reading the minute movements of their muscles and body language. However, that was where the ethnic semblance ended as those of Eshan believed that a True Warrior would not require a weapon to vanquish their foes, and those of Thyrsus knew better - taking much inspiration from the Mandalorian Way as they evolved and rebuilt their society.
- Combat Veteran: From the available data present during his induction into the SIS, the former Sun Guard has been in the thick of battle throughout much of his adolescent and adult life. Ranging from small CQC orientated Arenas to battlefields where entire Empire's clashed - Naiad has seen it all. His physique is the epitome of human perfection, allowing him to reach the pinnacle of human reflexes, and has been witnessed to have an unparalleled proficiency with a myriad of firearms and close quarters weaponry.
- Hunter's Eye (Assassination): One of the most recent acquisition to his repertoire, Naiad has undergone the most rigorous training regime that the SIS has to offer to hone his skills to become the perfect weapon for taking out the ever growing list - that contains various persons of interest and targets of opportunity. With the right equipment in hand, the Sun Guard is able to infiltrate heavily fortified locations and eliminate the marked individual with maximum efficacy. Extraction, on the other hand, is another matter entirely.
Weaknesses:
- Taciturn: Slow to words, but quick to action; Naiad - like the Sun - believes that his actions speak louder than his words, and usually elects to remain silent when engaged in, what others would consider a polite conversation. That being said, he had shown his ability to command, without a doubt, saying just enough so that his fellow operatives could understand his strategy, and has been recorded to be exemplary in the interrogation room - usually staring a confession out of an apprehended suspect.
- Unforgiving: The former Sun Guard has displayed an inability to forget those who have wronged him, or those closest to him. There have been several recorded instances where Naiad would chase his foe across entire Star Systems to enact vengeance for the fallen. While he would say it was an infringement against their honorable life, we here at the SIS believe that there is a more sinister reason as to why he would go to such lengths.
