- Description: The bread and butter of Nakaioma Security, the Security Officer is the backbone of the corporation. Widely available, they guard anything from the smallest, backwater facilities to private residences, to the headquarters of other galactic conglomerates. Emblazoned with the NAKAIOMA logo, these easily recognizable officers unlike their Enforcer older brothers are recruited from the veteran, former law enforcement and generally eligible population. Supported by the legal power of their employers, these guards are often very proactive in their enforcement of security procedure, and are known to rough up 'suspicious' individuals on a regular basis. Aviators, cap with attached headset and a thick combat vest make-up the security officer's dress code.

- Combat Function: Trained for several weeks at one of the corporation's renowned security academies. These officers are well-versed in procedures relating to the profiling of individuals, scanning crowds for suspicious activity, securing property and assets, along with firearms and melee combat. Capable of operating as an individual unit, given their occupation as security guards, they are most proficient when in patrols of 2-3. The Lieutenant of the client's security detail will advise them on which patrol patterns, and strategic points should be guarded closely, but the specifics are always up to the client at the end of the day. As such the combat function of security officers varies wildly depending on who has hired them. In the event of active combat with a superior enemy force, officers are trained to retain a defensive posture, secure strategic chokepoints, establish easily defendable positions and to await the enemy's approach, while providing covering fire for fleeing civilians, or evacuating assets. Against an inferior enemy, they will aggressively advance, utilizing stun weapons, flanking manoeuvres and overwhelming numbers to panic the intruder.
- Well Equipped: Especially for simple guards, NSOs come equipped with rail-propelled submachine guns, a variety of blaster rifles, assault shotguns, stun weaponry and melee options. Protected from lethal harm by an incredibly durable armored vest, and connected to their fellow officers, as well as their employer by sophisticated communications networks they are linked to via headset, these officers are provided with only the best in Nakaioma-brand equipment.
- Highly Trained: Largely recruited from former military and law enforcement, as well as being put from weeks of academy training. Security Officers are very well trained in several fields of security, including the maintenance of automated systems, the profiling and uncovering of suspicious individuals or activity, along with firearms and melee combat. They are especially skilled at urban and in-doors fighting.

Nakaioma Security Officers can guarantee a level of discretion not many others can, thanks to the broad legal protections they receive under their parent corporation's vast hordes of lawyers. With NSOs, a client can be assured that their dirty laundry will never see the light of day, and that their officers may even be the ones to ensure that it stays that way, if they so desire.

The Nakaioma Security Officer is the most numerous form of security personnel the corporation employs. Stationed across the galaxy, these guards are widely hired by outside governments, corporations and individuals to protect both life and property, while their parent conglomerate utilizes them to a vast degree. The spiritual successor to the first in-house trained guards Nakaioma Security Services produced, following their formalization as a corporation and integration into the wider conglomerate structure, thus commencing their shift from mercenaries and third party security sources to Nakaioma-brand guards, NSOs have since been the corporation's rank and file officers for most kinds of security work. Recruited from the general population, unlike their conscripted, and corporate-bred Enforcer counterparts. Many security officers, especially those with higher ranks will undoubtedly have previously served in one military or another, or in some form of law enforcement agency, abandoning their former duties due to the far greater pay they receive in the private sector.
Criticized for a lack of moral (and sometimes even legal) oversight by outside observers, Nakaioma security officers are popular among clients in large part due to their extensive powers of authority, even if in some cases their actions may not be particularly legal on some worlds. Backed by the legions of lawyers their parent corporation employs, Nakaioma security officers will more or less do whatever their clients order them to, granting any would-be clients a significant amount of morally flexible manpower, to do as they please with. Within the broad category of NSO lie a number of specializations, ranging from technicans, responsible for the maintenance of security systems such as cameras, deflector shields, fencing and sensors, to paramedics, on station constantly to provide emergency medical attention to fellow officers, or to the clients themselves, or their employees. During the galaxy's various crisis' and times of war, security officers have often been on the frontlines, either intentionally or unintentionally. Responsible for the evacuation of clients, or Nakaioma assets and employees in times where worlds have been invaded.
Well armed for their calibre of security guard, equipped with submachine guns, shotguns and stun weapons, NSOs can frequently be found tackling lower-tier threats to life and property, such as common thugs/criminals, local wildlife on more dangerous planets, or the occasional political activist and investigative journalist. Loyal to their employers, Nakaioma Security Officers typically take pride, and even enjoyment in their work, and are frequently eager to do it, perhaps due to how much freedom they are given in the carrying out of their duties. Arriving to clientele equipped with thick combat vests taken from the same materials as the Kabe Heavy Security Uniform, and the standard-issue arsenal of Nakaioma-brand weapons, clients are free to equip their guards will whatever weapons or armor they have already.
