It represents beauty, grace, and confidence.
Description:
The corporation, a subsidiary of Nakaioma Defense Dynamics, provides a plethora of services to customers all throughout the galaxy, and are a potent symbol of its reach to critics, with the intimidating black uniforms of the security forces often being used in a negative light by those against corporations. One is just as likely to see heavily armed paramilitary soldiers with the Nakaioma flower sigil imprinted onto their body armor, guarding an armaments factory in the Outer Rim, as they are to see a cabal of attractive male bodyguards, intentionally chosen by the client for their aesthetic appeal, escorting Coruscant's latest celebrity to their penthouse. Stating to distinguish itself from other security contractors by how it specifically caters to the client's every need and desire, NSS provides a wide array of options when hiring their personnel. Clients can order all women, or all men, their guards can be human, or of another species entirely. They can order guards from a specific world, who know a specific language, or were born into a specific culture. In the social circles of the Core World elite, it is in fashion to have a particularly attractive Nakaioma security detail. While in the less developed, or wealthy regions of the galaxy, it is a symbol of wealth and power to be protected by heavily armored combat troopers.
Officially receiving their directives and company policy from the Chief Director of Nakaioma Security Services, who himself answers to the Defense Board, the body responsible for Nakaioma Defense Dynamics, in practice the corporation is largely under the influence of Saro Nakaioma himself, the family patriarch having always taken an interest in the expansion and strengthening of Nakaioma's military capabilities, following the Sith sacking of Coruscant in the war. Excluding this, NSS follows much the same hierarchy as the rest of the conglomerate, with the headquarters based out of Nakaioma Plaza giving orders to the various Regional Headquarters' throughout the galaxy, which in turn give orders to the even more numerous Regional Offices, who then distribute them finally to Local Sites. Executive-level officials within the paramilitary have served with it for their entire lives, and are often found to be members of the Raiko-chi faction of the conglomerate's internal politics. Due to its dual purpose, NSS is required to have a sizable portion of its troops and equipment on stand-by for use by Nakaioma itself, in the event of attacks on corporate property, or evacuations in the event of galactic war.
Nakaioma troops, vehicles and other equipment can be found based in specialized facilities located in areas of the galaxy where the Board has decided they will be most useful. Although taking their orders and processing the bureaucratic work in Regional Offices and Headquarters much like the conglomerate's other subsidiaries, NSS due to its paramilitary nature only stations a small number of its personnel in these administrative centers, usually for the protection of the sites. These facilities could accurately be described as military installations, highly secure, they are typically home to several thousand security and support personnel each, although the largest can number in the hundreds of thousands and the smallest in only the hundreds. Characterized by their sleek, black modern designs, high walls, ray shields, watch towers, anti-air systems and turrets, they are not the most welcoming of places.
Nakaioma Home Security:
Perhaps the most inconspicuous of the corporation's services, Nakaioma Home Security is the division of NSS responsible for the advanced home security systems, structures and guards intended for the civilian market. One of the galaxy's top providers for home security cameras, reinforced windows, ray shields, electrified fences, blast doors, sensor alarms and rapid response teams, NHS caters its products and services across a variety of socioeconomic classes. Ranging from the Secure Home package, which offers everyday customers a restless sleep with the introduction of any number of cameras, and sensor alarms to various entrance points to the house. To the Lockdown package designed for the galaxy's most wealthy and most paranoid, providing blast shields, reinforced walls and windows, tripwires, motion sensors, thermal imaging, enhanced sound detection, and a direct line to a team of Nakaioma first responders who will arrive on site within a minute or less of the alarm being triggered, this package costs more than most earn in a year, but it soothes the elite.
Nakaioma Law Enforcement:
Recruited mostly from third party sources unlike the rest of the corporation, the officers and logistics staff of NLE are picked from former policing agencies throughout the galaxy, military veterans and mercenaries. Subject to different policies, training and equipment, the Law Enforcement division can mostly be found on less developed worlds which lack the proper infrastructure to effectively combat crime, or developed worlds which simply have too much of it for their native police agencies to handle. Depending on the contract agreed upon with the planetary government, Nakaioma Law Enforcement can either have great degrees of autonomy in how it tackles the issue of crime, acting in full authority as regular police officers and sometimes even beyond that, or they can be heavily supervised by the local government, or government police services. In all cases NLE officers are binded by local laws, however they have been accused by detractors of frequently acting outside of the law in-order to cut crime more effectively. NLE strongly denies these baseless claims.
Nakaioma Cyber Security:
Typically hired alongside one of the other divisions of the corporation, Nakaioma Cyber Security is an interesting combination of personnel both recruited at young ages and raised by the company, and third party hires. Hiring out incredibly talented experts in digital systems, the HoloNet, electronic countermeasures and the variety of security systems which NSS as a whole has to offer, NCS Specialists as they are called will usually be hired for either the simple installation and instruction of how to use certain systems or products. Or will be actively hired to run them, and monitor for outside interference or attempts at breaches into the client's network, whether that be a corporate, military, personal or civil one. Not exclusive to larger entities, NCS has lower price ranges for small businesses and HoloNet paranoid individuals, able to remotely work on a client's computers or network from an office elsewhere in the galaxy. Nakaioma Cyber Security also maintains a distinct breed of combat tech specialists able to work directly with Nakaioma soldiers in active combat scenarios, disabling hostile turrets, or other systems in the field.
Nakaioma Personal Protection:
The bodyguard division of the Nakaioma Security Services; Personal Protection is the face the corporation presents to the rich, famous and powerful. Although in practice Nakaioma bodyguards can be hired by anyone, they are often too expensive to be contracted for long periods of time unless the client is a celebrity, a corporate executive, or high-ranking politician. Often rotated between Personal Protection and the corporation's elite Special Operations units, these bodyguards are certifiably lethal despite the pretty face they were chosen for and the expensive suit they were put in. Trained in the basics of medical care and highly skilled in everything from close quarters combat to elevated urban warfare, there likely will not be a situation that any of these clients find themselves in that their bodyguard will not be able to get them out of. If in the rare event such a thing were to occur, the more costly plans also include rapid response teams if the panic button is pressed. Nakaioma bodyguards are fiercely loyal to their client and unless an order directly contradicts corporate policy they will carry it out. Executive-level employees of all Nakaioma subsidiaries are given at least one or two NPP bodyguards.
Nakaioma Security:
What one thinks of when they think of Nakaioma Security Services; Nakaioma Security is the bread and butter of the entire corporation. The official name for the rank and file security personnel whom make up the vast bulk of the corporation's employees, Nakaioma Security officers can range from well-dressed guards carrying only batons or some form of stun weapon all the way to the heavily armed and armored combat troopers that the corporation's critics often like to point at when making their hostile arguments. Within this division of the company, troops are specialized and trained in specific roles including but not limited to combat engineers, marksmen, medics, pilots, tank operators and general purpose riflemen. Organized much in the same manner as a conventional military; fireteams, squads, platoons, battalions and divisions makeup the primary unit organization structures of this sector of the corporation. Highly-trained, dedicated to their missions and equipped with the latest in state-of-the-art Nakaioma weaponry, they are certainly worth the credits many are willing to dish out for them.
Nakaioma Special Operations:
More often used by Nakaioma itself than by any exterior clientele, this subdivision of the company is the smallest in terms of numbers but is well above the others in regards to quality. Responsible for the protection of highly classified corporate facilities and the most important of Nakaioma's personnel including the Old Man himself, these elite operators are rarely ever seen even by those within the corporation. Rumored to be equipped with prototype technologies and weaponry, very little information is known about this division other than that it exists and what its purpose is. However if conspiracy theories on the HoloNet are to be believed (Which they are not.) These are also the soldiers whom will be sent to kill the occasional investigative journalist, plucky politician, cheapskate client or corporate rival. NSO exists as the only division of the corporation to exclusively provide its soldiers to clients, only allowing its services to be paid for by proven allies of Nakaioma, revealing the vastly political nature of this group.
Nakaioma Intelligence:
As the name would suggest, Nakaioma Intelligence is the entity responsible for the corporation's internal and external intelligence acquisition and exploitation. Internal meaning that it is charged with ensuring the integrity of Nakaioma itself, and engaging in anything from corporate espionage to blackmail on behalf of the corporation, while its external duties are to clientele of Nakaioma Security Services. Providing counter-terrorism intelligence for governments, conducting intense background checks, or even inter-corporate espionage for other companies and dealing in the trade of information overall, making great deals of profit simply by having access to information that other entities desire. Referred to as the Yūrei, the Onami-ko word for ghosts, the well-dressed and highly intelligent men and women of Nakaioma Intelligence are rarely seen outside of their offices and data centers and often socialize only among themselves, as to keep even other sectors of Nakaioma out of the info loop. The personnel here are trained to resist torture and are rumored to have lethal capsules installed in their mouth in the event they are captured by any hostile group. They often work closely with Nakaioma Cyber Security to ensure protection against cyber threats to information integrity.
Nakaioma Prison Security:
Established shortly after Nakaioma Law Enforcement, NPS or Nakaioma Prison Security is a private prison subdivision of the corporation responsible for the construction and maintenance of prisons, as well as the transportation, re-education, rehabilitation or punishment and security of the prisoners, depending on what their client (Typically governments) desire. Effectively cutting operational costs towards the state via innovative technological solutions to the age old problems of paying to keep society's lowest alive, wardens and security personnel can be hired from third party sources, provided by the client, or brought in at an extra cost from NSS' general reserve of officers. Though not advertised to the public, NPS also offers exclusive 'Black Site' services to more discerning clientele and in the Nakaioma fashion can guarantee absolute secrecy.

Reputation:
In many ways the living tools of the corporation's will, Nakaioma Security Services are looked at with desire among the elite, with some disdain among government entities and apathy by the masses. Frequently targeted by accusations of improper conduct and in some cases even illegal activity, ranging from unlawful killings to gross overreach of their authority when patrolling the properties and individuals they are hired to protect. Advertised as an honorable, highly specialized fighting force dedicated to the preservation of life and those valuable goods you hold dear, they are well sought after by those with the credits to enlist their services. In many aspects this reputation is deserved, as the corporation takes strict measures to ensure that their reputation for quality is upheld, for the corporations and rich individuals whom make up most of their clientele they are a god-send, for the homeless person who has made the 'mistake' of sleeping one inch too close to a guarded location, they are a boot to the face.

Nakaioma Security Services structures itself in a unified front, despite the several different subdivision organizations (E.g. Cyber Security, Personal Protection) underneath it. Led by the Chief Director, who is assigned his rank by the Defense Board; the top executives of Nakaioma Defense Dynamics which all give their orders from Nakaioma Plaza on Coruscant, the corporation divides its vast paramilitary forces based on region, with as many as several hundred thousand troops within a specific area of the galaxy taking their orders from a Regional Sub-Director based out of their respective Regional Headquarters. Beneath these region-wide divisions exist sector-wide commands, responsible for maintaining operations across several star systems and the planets within, and beneath them exist the planetary commands which depending on the planet can range from tens of thousands strong to as little as a few hundred or even less than that when it comes to moons and asteroids.
Forces are typically divided into infantry, armored and aerial combat units in the event of a large-scale threat to the corporation, which will then go onto act together in a fast-moving combined arms approach to whatever operations they are carrying out, mirroring several galactic armed forces in their organization in this. In times of Standard Operation however (Corporate slang for peacetime), the organizational structure of the company's paramilitary forces is much less rigid and open to being changed depending on which assignments from Nakaioma Plaza are being given and which contracts have been received from clients. Ranks are based on pay-scale and speciality (Such as being a certified engineer, cyber security expert, combat medic etc..) and not ceremony or simply by serving within the company for a long enough period of time. The Officer Corps, trained from their time of arrival into the company are responsible for the legions of employee-infantry that exist and many successful officers often go onto become civilian executives within the company's upper echelons.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Founded by Raiko Nakaioma upon the onset of the Gulag Virus, Nakaioma Security Services were from the very beginning given the responsibility of securing the corporation's future existence. The first soldiers of the paramilitary corporation were a hastily put together combination of veterans and mercenaries hired from wherever they were loaning out their services, so that when the outbreak reached its apex and entire worlds were being devastated with countless lives lost, NAKAIOMA would be ready, fortifying its installations and abandoning the ones it could reasonably write off, while evacuating priority employees to these chosen safe locations in the process of it all. Information on the corporation's activities during the outbreak are hard to find, although rumor has it this is by design due to the unsavoury acts supposedly committed by Nakaioma soldiers over the course of the chaos. As the galaxy entered its infamous four hundred year darkness, the corporation would see itself placed front and center in the wider conglomerate, charged with the goal of rapid expansion of its numbers and capabilities as to be able to effectively secure the conglomerate's galaxy-wide assets and employees.
Directly under the command of the Nakaioma family patriarch or matriarch over the course of these four centuries, the NSS would often see itself becoming on many worlds the only semblance of authority that remained and even on the worlds where some form of government continued to function, they were frequently being hired to act in practice as the world's military and law enforcement entity. It could be argued that it was during this period, known as the Raiko Era within the conglomerate, that NAKAIOMA was at its most powerful in a comparative sense. Although today it is infinitely more powerful in regards to wealth, physical assets and control over other companies, during the four hundred year darkness, the conglomerate through NSS effectively held control over dozens of worlds, before it eventually started relinquishing its direct control over them as governments begun to regroup and rise from the ashes of the Gulag outbreak's destruction, returning to its traditional role as a corporation near the end of the darkness. With it, NSS would see itself placed under the control of Nakaioma Defense Dynamics and appointed with a Chief Director in-order to distance itself from its reputation as a political military force.
As the galaxy returned to a sense of normality in the years and decades after the four hundred year darkness, NSS would expand its operations into more civilian-friendly industries, establishing its Cyber Security, Home Security and Personal Protection branches during this time, a left-over from the Raiko Era would exist in the form of Nakaioma Law Enforcement, which would begin accepting contracts on a number of worlds and systems. Establishing its own research and development teams and facilities, the corporation would likewise begin to manufacture its own products separately from Nakaioma Defense Dynamics. Selling many civilian security goods such as home security systems and cyber security systems through its two related subdivisions, while utilizing its new elite bodyguard service to attract the clientele of the galaxy's rich and famous. However throughout all of this, the corporation never lost sight of its original purpose, the protection of NAKAIOMA, and as such would continue to build up its regular military reserves, investing in new military-grade weapons, vehicles and other equipment, while growing its personnel numbers.
During the Galactic Alliance's reconquest of Coruscant, Nakaioma media teams would film NSS forces securing the now war-torn Nakaioma Plaza and dozens of other corporate facilities across the damaged ecumonopolis, many of the heroic images taken during that day having since been immortalized in the form of statues and portraits in some of the conglomerate's larger buildings. With leadership and ownership of the vast conglomerate transferring from Szuko Nakaioma to his son Saro following the death of the former, NSS would again see itself unofficially under the direct rule of the family patriarch, though on paper it would retain its neutrality in regards to NAKAIOMA internal politics, in reality it would again become the extension of the CEO's will, not only enforcing rules to protect the corporation's facilities now, but enforcing rules within the conglomerate's structure. Expanding its recruitment operations yet again, the new task of the corporation has been to grow its operations with civilian and government contracts, while enlarging itself in the process, as to better serve the corporation as it begins entering a new period of expansion in the galaxy.
