- Distinctions:
- Force Sensitivity: All creatures are Force Sensitive
- Webs
- These webs serve a number of purposes, helping them travel quickly from place to place, to capturing their prey. When used for hunting, the Nemorakin will completely wrap their victim in the webs after injecting them with a neurotoxin. While the neurotoxin does its work, the Nemorakin feasts on the darkside energies produced from the intense emotions and fears of the entrapped.
- Darkside of The Force
- These creatures are sustained through the Darkside of the Force, using its fangs to absorb the twisted energies it produces from those it captures in its webs. Because of this, they are more attracted to - and likely to target - the practitioners of that alignment. The deeper the darkness, the sweeter the treat.
- Jointed Fangs
- When the Nemorakin sets its eyes on its next meal, watch out. The two fangs protruding from its jaw contains a neurotoxin they inject into their prey that paralyzes their victim while they feed, while simultaneously entrapping the victim in a mental state of abject horror and fear through hyper-realistic illusions, where they are forced to relieve their worst nightmares over and over again.
- Razor-Sharp Legs
- Watch out for the Nemorakins legs! They are smooth, black as onyx, but sharp as quality steel, with the ability to pierce straight through soft armors and flesh.
- Armored Outer shell
- The body of a Nemorakin can be compared to that of a strong durasteel. It is protected from most kinetic damage and makes them impervious to physical stresses. These beasts can take a beating, but it's nothing that a lightsaber and persistence, can't get through.
- What's that smell?
- Killing a Nemorakin can sometimes create more problems than solve. When one is killed, their carcass releases a pungent smell, akin to that of rotting flesh. This scent is meant to alert other Nemorakins, and draw them to the location. It's best to burn the carcass immediately, to avoid bringing down a horde.
- Lightside of The Force
- Soft Underbelly
- Poor Eyesight
- Sensitive To Heat
- These creatures prefer cold, dark places. They are susceptible to grenades and other fire based weapons. Smaller explosive weapons may not outright kill them unless strategically thought through because of their protective outer shell, but it will still push them back and wound them enough to slow them down.
- Diet: Other
- Communication: Telepathic
- Technology level: N/A
- Religion/Beliefs: N/A
- General behavior: Nemorakins are vicious and full of malevolence, only known one thing: hunger. They have an insatiable desire to devour anything with a connection to the Force and are drawn to those who are deeply attuned to it. Often the spiders travel in packs and hunt together, communicating to one another both telepathically and through a series of hisses, clicks, and guttural growls, with differences in vocal pitch to help differentiate between speakers. They are intelligent to an extent, with the ability to form a basic hierarchy in their packs, often following a King Nemorakin.
Namorakins are creatures of the Netherworld that can use the Force and are believed to have been created by the Darkside itself, having only ever been found or encountered by those unforutante enough to find themselves in the hellscape that is the Netherworld.
