Nar Shaddaa Cantina

The Chiss wasn't garbed in his Imperial Captain's uniform. No, he stopped wearing that for a while. Instead, he wore more common clothes that you would see upon Nar Shaddaa. Besides, he needed some contacts within the underworld, it was probably better to not have people recognizing his uniform, knowing where he was from, and then starting problems. He wasn't a particularly powerful force user, nor did he have a lightsaber so it wasn't as if he would have been able to actually fight off someone who wanted to fight him.

Instead, his weapons were two charric's within a jacket, and when he walked into the cantina, he made sure that the charric's were hidden from view. He was looking for a Chiss that he had been trying to find. A Chiss in the underworld. Perhaps she would 'connect' with him, and actually accept his offers. He would just have to see.

"Bantha milk." He said to the droid bartender.

((Sorry about the delay! Been ill for a few days))

Nar Shaddaa set her on edge.

Antera didn't think she could ever get used to this mad little world, but in her line of work it was difficult to impossible to avoid visits to the aptly named Smuggler's Moon. Instead, she simply kept her senses alert and her presence in the Force to a minimum. Best to draw as little attention as possible.

Having a few weapons openly displayed on her person helped too.

She sipped occasionally at a glass of Corellian ale, but was in no rush to intoxicate herself. In truth, if her goal had been to relax, she'd have remained aboard the Carcosa, but her credits had to come from somewhere and there were far worse places to look for employment than a Nar Shaddaa bar.

Not very many, but they existed.

((Yeah it's cool. I don't post frequently anyway.))

The Imperial Captain turned to face his back against the counter, before his eyes set upon @[member="Antera"]. Another Chiss in this underworld? Who would have thought? Well, there were plenty of Chiss in the known galaxy, though many were in the Fel Imperium or rather the Galactic Empire. In his opinion, it was rare to see Chiss within these dirt holes. And when you did, they were truly good at what they did.

Zaruan sat across from Antera, though the expression on his face seemed as if it was clueless. "Greetings." Were his words. Better to start off oblivious. It wouldn't have been a complete lie on this world.

The smuggler blinked slightly when the other chiss suddenly approached her, remaining silent as he helped himself to a seat. She only spoke up in response.

"... You need something or what?"

She set her glass down, regarding the man with a neutral, blank expression and waiting to see just what he wanted.

His first response was to bring the bantha milk to his lips and drink from the cup. He was quiet while he did it, and then he set down the cup when it seemed he had had his full.

"I should think you would need a job. Or is this not the Smuggler's Moon?" Zaruan's question seemed almost obnoxious, though the expression after his words betrayed nothing. "Is this possible, or not?"

She pursed her lips slightly, leaning back just a little in her seat and kicking her boot-clad feet up onto the table, "And I take it you have one then?"

Her head tilted slightly and she gave the man a slow once over, looking for anything that might mark who he was affiliated with or what this might be about.

"A spy, an agent I suppose." He also leaned back in his chair, though a 'bothered' look found her boots when they came upon the table. It was quite...Irritating to see boots upon the table. He doubted she was born in the Unknown Regions. She was hardly acting as a Chiss shoulder. As befit the species that was superior to all species.

There was nothing upon his body that would give her a hint as to who he was affiliated with. Though when his jacket slightly opened, she was able to see one of the charric's upon his person. Though when he leaned forwards again, it disappeared. "How about it?"

@[member="Antera"]

A brow raised for only a moment when she saw the charric. She'd never used one herself, but she could remember seeing guards and soldiers with them in Ascendency space.

Feels like a lifetime ago already.

"An agent for what exactly? I'm not in the habit of ignoring the fine print on a job," her feet remained planted right where they were, her arms crossed in front of herself.

@[member="Zaruan Nuarudo"]

'For me." He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. What else could it mean, if not that? And there were the slight hints of a smile upon his face, and he clasped his hands upon the table in front of him. "Assassinate maybe, theft perhaps, reconnaissance yes." He explained after a few moments.

She clicked her tongue once, swinging her legs to the side and sitting upright once again. Without a break in the movement, she leaned forward over the table and rested her weight on her elbows.

"Look. I'm no one's hitgirl. You want intel, you want things moved, we can work out a deal," she lifted her glass, idly swirling the contents for a moment, "You want things found? I could do that too. But it's job by job. I don't work on retainer. Can you work with that?"

@[member="Zaruan Nuarudo"]

"As you wish." Was his response. There would be no arguing back and forth, or, trying to bargain with her. Do or die, he thought to himself. He could only wonder if Chiss like her even knew how to speak the language of Cheunh, and he shook his head slightly.

"I can work with that." He finally concluded.

@[member="Antera"]

Her lips curled into a slight smile, and she leaned back in her seat again, carrying the glass with her as she went.

"Glad we've got an understanding, then," she took a sip before delicately setting the container down on the table once more. She crossed her arms over her middle, "So what do you need done?"
