- Anti-Shank Cloth provides protection against kinetic force and energy weapons.
- Duraflex Fabric provides environmental protection as well as regulating body temperature.
- Leather looks cool.
- Blasterproof: As clothing goes, this jacket is durable against blaster fire, able to withstand even direct hits. It is not indestructible, however - one's best bet for survival if somebody starts shooting is still to run for cover.
- Sleeps With Vibroblades: The jacket also boasts exceptional defense against kinetic blows from weapons such as vibroblades. The faster the sharp object is moving, the stronger the cloth will be against it. It also features shock absorption.
- Protection From the Elements: The duraflex fabric used in the inner lining of the jacket provides protection from environmental factors and has been treated so that it will not retain water (and become heavy) when submerged. It also features technology that regulates the wearer's body temperature so that they are never too warm or too cold.
- Lightsabers and Ion: The jacket has no real durability against lightsabers and EMP/ION.
- Mere Clothing: While the fabric is quite durable, this is still only clothing and should not be considered on par with heavy armor. It is recommended that you do not try to wear it into a warzone, even if you want to look good in battle.
Per an anonymous request, Thelma constructed this jacket. Unused to working with leather, she considered it a fun challenge. But the leather is only the exterior of the garment. It also features two more layers underneath using familiar fabrics: duraflex and anti-shank cloth. These are the two materials which provide the jacket with its durability and protection.
