- Military-grade HUD with myriad vision system. Internal Overlay Display. Sensors (Visual, Motion, Sonar mapper, Thermal, Combat, Audio) Scanners (Infrared, Sonar, Radar). Features an underwater vision module. Multi-Frequency Targeting System. Multi-Spectral Target Assessor etc. Potent lenses and sensors enable wearer to pierce murky waters.
- Polarized Anti-Flash Lenses, Electrobinoculars, (X20), Range Finder.
- Audio/Visual Recorder
- Sonic Dampeners, Aural Amplifiers, Annunciator.
- Temperature Regulator
- Radiation Deflection Badge, Radiation Screener.
- Floodlight
- Underwater propulsion jets can be mounted on back and manoeuverability jets built into the armour's shin plates for increased agility while underwater. Propulsion boots with snap-down flippers enhance a soldier's mobility in an aquatic environment.
- The Nautilus Aquatic Combat Suit shifts its colour from standard to a colour shifting camouflage that changes to match the terrain in a camouflage pattern, making it harder to see in the field. This makes it harder to see the wearer, but is not a cloaking device, since they do not turn invisible.
- For medical systems the suit features Biorestorative Underlay, injection ports on the leg and arm, and a small field kit to provide the wearer with a significant degree of survivability, aiding in preventing a soldier's death when they are inevitably wounded in combat.
- Sealed suit. Self Resealing Foam
- Ghostwave Communicator and/or BCC BC-11 Biocom
- Broadband Antenna, IFF Transponder
- Weapon Slots (2 on each arm [Wrist Rocket System=2; Dart Launcher=.5] that can be taken from cannon or subbed separately). Built-in vibroblade on the wrists, and dart launchers in gauntlets are typical weapons, but this is up to the wearer.
- Beyond these, the armour features comparable technology to other similar line models in the galaxy up to galactic standard. This includes utility belt, packs for carrying explosives and other items etc. Features rebreather and breathing equipment to guarantee air supply. Helmets feature helmets also featured built in miniaturized oxygen scrubbers, and oxygen tanks can be attached. This may be removed if not required, such as by members of aquatic species such as Mon Calamari.
- Lightweight and optimised for aquatic warfare. Propulsion boots with snap-down flippers enhance a soldier's mobility in an aquatic environment. Features a breathing apparatus to guarentee air supply, though aquatic species can forego this feature to reduce bulk. Comes equipped with advanced scanners and underwater vision modules.
- Features above average protection against kinetic and sonic attacks. Sonic because what one would equate with shockwaves is more deadly underwater. Moreover, it is designed to allow the wearer to withstand high pressures and cold temperatures, boosting environmental resistance.
- Low lightsabre protection. It is designed for frogmen and commandos, not space marines. The typical lightsabre is not a threat underwater unless specially modified, but if they run into a glowstick-wielder on the ground, an underwater base (or someone who has tweaked their glowstick accordingly) they're in trouble.
- The suit was not made with exceptional tankiness in made, and is thus susceptible to high-powered energy weapons like disruptors.
Over the decades, Firemane has found itself operating on worlds where the seas and oceans play a huge role in transport, trade and thus also warfare. Tygara and Arkas are chief among them. Ships are needed to counter the maritime fleets of other factions, combat raiders and expand the Kerrigan family business' power. This makes it logical to design a suit for specialised underwater warfare fighters.
In that regard, there is a lot of overlap with the ancient Seatrooper Armour originally designed for the Galactic Empire's aquatic assault stormtroopers. Like this model, it is a lightweight suit of armour that covers an environmental suit. It features a breathing apparatus, which can be removed if desired. Advanced scanners and an underwater vision module can allow the wearer to pierce murky underwaters and increases their ability to discover dangers that lurk in oceanic depths. This is further enhanced by the incorporation of two floodlights.
Underwater propulsion jets can be mounted on the back and manoeuverability jets built into the armour's shin plates in order to enhance the wearer's speed and agility. This is further boosted by propulsion boots with snap-down flippers. Should the suit be breached, the armour is able to flush out and vent water that could have leaked into it.
The Nautilus Aquatic Combat Suit features myriad support systems to allow the wearer to withstand common hazards in an aquatic environment, especially dealing with high pressure. It also has enhanced protection against sonic and kinetic attacks. By contrast, protection against dangers less pertinent to fighting underwater is less extensive. This is obviously an issue when soldiers equipped with the Nautilus engage hostiles in combat scenarios outside of their niche. But if that happens they are probably not being deployed properly in the first place.
