O' dear child, this World shall be reaved clean of heretic and heresy through bitter Crusade. For it is the Will of the True Gods, bow now, or burn."
--Cythos de Luca - During the Fifth Crusade of The Seventh Portal, Ord Radama.

Educated, theatrical, adventurous all words that describe Necrobius Amunrex. All aspects that shape a greater whole than the sum of any one part. But just who is this Givin? It's a question many a weary-eyed traveler have asked themselves upon witnessing his mysterious acts of mysticism and intrigue at the traveling Cabinet of Curiosities owned by the Devaronian Saladyyn.

It's an inquiry, quite sadly, that will remain largely unwhole.

But distress not, for there is plenty of tale to yet weave. For Amunrex is no ordinary conjurer of tricks and treats, nor mere teller of fantasy and fiction. His life is most certainly no stage act, dear reader. His twists and turns are as real as the planks he plays upon. From dark relics that ooh and awe, to bizarre beasts that astonish and defy. Black jungles of woe and misery, creepy towns dredged with fright and temples of lost lure and intrigue the Skeleton has seen them all.

In matters of Occult Investigation very few may claim rival of the savvy he boasts.

But wait, just therein lies the grabber, a barker would call. For Necrobius Amunrex was more than simple gumshoe. Nay, the abstruse nature of his origin and tales of his travels may have filled HoloSlates and Print Papers -- a star of Deci-Cred Dreadfuls under the sobriquet Xacius Redmoon. But there was indeed a deeper pool to slip chill off in.

Have your fortune divined, your palm read, your dreams interpreted. Yes, The Augur Skeleton would indeed stretch his mind through unseen mists and discern your omens, foretell all signs. Not interested in what weather may impede you, where you left those favorite sunglasses? Can't afford to locate your one love, or in what manner you may meet your demise? Come back later during Saladyyn's Inter-Species All-Out Free-for-All and test your mettle and prowess against Amunrex in the noble art of combat.

Don't hesitate, for his wanderlust is insatiable, and you may not get the chance to meet him ever again.

All clever billing, to be sure. But again, just who was Necrobius Amunrex?

Delving further in to the recess of black eyes, you'd never know that this was a Givin of obsessive and deadly worship. Studying his demeanor and stance would enlighten you no further to the untamed evil that coursed his blood. For his way was silent, and his road mute of the terrible wickedness he had brought to the World he called home.

Religious hate of the darkest kind, that was his true essence.

There was once a day indeed that his Dark God spoke to him, tormented him, and Amunrex basked in the agony. More he desired of it, more he yearned for it. But all signs pointed to one outcome for him. His purpose was to grow, his purpose was to expand knowledge and spread the wicked Gospel.

The Great Whisper of his Demon King no longer harassed his mind, for he like all Heralds, they were the malignant tumors that would corrupt and decay the will of others. Go forth and learn, go forth and integrate, go forth and kill. That is their way -- that was their way. For now, Necrobius Amunrex, was the last of the Heralds of X'oti.

Yes, murmur did breathe that over the course of five Religious Crusades a Cult of Ancient origin was once wiped clean from the face of the Galaxy. The teachings of their ilk destroyed and scattered. The very name of their Fellowship forbidden to trespass from lip and tongue. It's followers were slaughtered, they were exiled, their Mastery of the Force severed, their lives locked in Stasis for generations.

There once was a rumor that he, Necrobius Amunrex was one of these such beings. He'd tell you no, but I will tell you yes.

For once he was a great Herald, and his control of the Force was strong. Now he is mere wanderer, scouring signs and awaiting signals from beyond the rift of the Galaxy. An Adept these days. But with every hour he thrives stronger. His sense of the Force has already returned, it only requires cultivating.

Thus he bides his time, patient and all-knowing. One day the rise would happen again. One day the Galaxy would recall the terrible name of his one true Master.
