You turn off the lights. That's when I really come out to play, in your head. You run up the stairs, each step quicker than the last. It's going to grab my foot, drag me down to the abyss. I'm there. Waiting.

You make it to the bedroom, and slam the door shut. I'm almost there. You climb into your bed, still warm from when you last left it. Comfort, warmth and safety. Bed sheets, my hero!
