Alright, so I'm looking to throw together a few RPs for the Order of the Open Palm (http://starwarsrp.net/groups/522-order-of-the-open-palm/). The premise is pretty simple: we're basically Doctors Without Borders, only with more guns. We airlift into conflict zones and do what we can to help those caught in the crossfire. Mostly, this means digging wells, constructing shelter, treating wounds and preventing disease. If the situation calls for it, we also protect the civilians from those that would do them harm, through whatever means necessary.
To kick things off, I want to insert a team onto a planet that's either being violently dommed or has recently seen action. We're not trying to interfere with the faction that's running the place (though it would be super swell if they were willing to write some opposition), we're just there to help civilians. To that end, we'll have our own thread.
What we need mostly are healers and mercenaries. I don't know too many engineers on here, so we can NPC them if necessary. Open Palm doesn't care what side of the Force you're on, or who your allegiance is to, or even if you have ulterior motives, so long as your primary focus is to help those in need. That allows for a diverse group with all kinds of conflict.
OOC, I'm looking to snap up newer writers who haven't found a place in one of the major factions, though more experienced players are definitely welcome. I've noticed it's difficult to get any real traction as a new face, so maybe we can work together to make our own faction, with blackjack. And hookers.
But seriously, I'd love to get this up and running before Invasion season, that way we can work concurrently on the planets being overrun.
