stupid question I know, but I was planning a major overhaul of my personal ship. Any idea if this would be possible before Oktoberfest?

I'm going to go with a strong 'probably'. It wouldn't make sense to tell people to prepare for an event and then deny them access to the factory so that they cannot prepare for the event. ~_~

My suggestion is to write up a few pages of development in good faith that it will come back in time.

My best guess is that if you really -have- to use it now and don't want to wait for the factory... Then do so without going into great specifics about armament and treat it as having a very basic and generic weapon profile for a ship of its classification. If you're using it just as a transport to get from point A to point B, or holding secret meetings in it or something... I can't see anyone giving you a hard time. Just don't go around trying to blow massive holes out of anything until it's had a chance to get subbed.

And as far as the October event goes... I'm fairly confident that you'll have a chance to get it submitted before the event starts.
 
Just now saw Carrison tech on there. And it's listed as James bond gear.

Crap now I want to make more simply because of that! And with the factory being cut off.

Oh well. I guess I will deal with it until then.

(notice I said that I would deal with it ;) )

Plot Twist: They purposely cut off the factory so people don't ruin the new event by spamming it with pointless toys that fill the void in their egos or overwork the judges. Because... you know... it's an event, not an expo; the story matters, not the trinkets.
