Need training in Sith Alchemy

Hey guys,

Are there any dark-siders out there willing to give this character some basic training in Sith Alchemy? I'm mainly interested in having him learn the art of creating sithspawn. Help would be greatly appreciated, as though I'm willing to solo train him for the most part I'd like to have at least one thread with another experienced character to start him off.

Spawn usually take either extensive, and I do mean every letter of the word, work or to be a higher level of Force Sensitive. That being said though, yes I will help. Just need to know how far you'll go for it.

He is right on what he says, cuz I know Sith Alchemy as well, and creating a sithspawn is a very long process and you'll need a high level of knowledge to do it

My motivation for returning to this forum largely revolves around a story line I have planned for this character which heavily involves the creation of Sithspawn. I'm currently in the process of writing the first part of that story arc and do not intend to post any of it until it's all done--that will take some time and effort, and in the mean time my main goal on this forum will be to develop the character to the point where I feel he's ready to begin. Learning the art of Sith Alchemy is the primary condition for this.

In short, I understand that mastering this will be a long process and am willing to put in the effort to make it happen. If you need any insurance that I'm in for the long haul, know that I have already spent a good deal of effort on this story arc I'm writing and would hate for it all to go to waste.

[member="Assadar Ilrast"] - Here's how you do it, with or without IC mentors, so long as you write having access to the right information. This is how I'd do it, anyway.

  • Get to know the Codex staff. Know what they'll see as acceptable and unacceptable.
  • Prepare to do a development thread for each creation as per Codex rules.
  • As an apprentice, be a scholar. Study genetic engineering and existing Dark Side critters.
  • As a knight, start tinkering. DO NOT make your big ambitious thing yet. Go for something like...venomous nunas. Existing critter, changed in one way. Make it creative, make a good reason for it, make it something you'll use for ages, and refer to canon for your options.
  • Repeat. Make several sithspawn until your approach to Codex has had its rough edges rubbed off and you really know what you're doing.
  • As a master, start making the cool stuff, putting in the work as necessary. Even when you first get master, which should be in roughly three months if you put in the work, don't go super ambitious right off the bat. Go for a natural escalation of ability. Real top-tier sithspawn normally take multiple development threads, even from top-tier alchemists.

...this

However, in the case of effort, that was what I was meaning. Will you be attempting something as an acolyte? If you do, you need so much effort its crazy. But even at this point, with over a dozen threads learning its uses, I still wouldn't go past the baby changes.

Thanks for the tips on progression, that looks like a good outline to me. As for 'top tier sithspawn' -- I assume you mean gigantic monsters and the like -- I have no intention of making those, or at least, no plans to do so.

[member="Darth Pikiran"], are you up for some sort of training thread?

Of course. However, just a little forewarning, unless you plan on the basic apprentice plan, you will need to be ready to give up sonething important. The major thing Damien does in times of teaching or aiding would be erasing memories of the other person. So your character may end up without memories of his parents etc

Memory erasing is perfect for me. So far I've RPed this character as borderline light-dark, and watch to switch him fully over to the dark side; getting rid of memories and molding him into a properly evil Sith is just what the doctor ordered.
