SPECIAL FEATURES
- Internal heating systems provide comfortable temperature management in colder environments
- Internal monitors provide live updates on user's health via holographic projection on the chest; Gold for alive and unwounded, yellow for minor injuries such as contusions or sprains, dark orange for moderate injuries such as broken bones or lacerations, red for severe wounds such as gunshots/blastershots, internal bleeding, etc; Holographic projection shuts down upon user death
- The left gauntlet contains a built-in deflector shield that, when activated, springs out a telescopic shield frame before activating the blue-hued field
- Bodyguard's Armor: Intended for use by personal guards of Anubian priests and other similar figures, the Nehksin-pattern is strengthened significantly against most ranged attacks
- Sleek and Sloped: The contours of this armor offer it increased protection against physical blades, generally preventing them from being able to bite in with their smooth surfaces
- Personal Shield: The armor comes with a built-in deflector shield for use in both ranged and melee engagements, capable of even limited protection against lightsabers
Weaknesses:
- Exposed Head: Lending to the general Anubian attitude of 'form over function,' the ceremonial armor lacks a proper helmet. Instead, it has a sort of collar stretching around the majority of the neck and the back of the head. Anyone direct hit is a serious risk that can prove to be potentially fatal. This also means that there is no protection against sonic attacks, which are particularly effective against Anubian ears.
- Flawed Battery: The deflector shield, unfortunately, has a rather weak lifespan. If it is overloaded, it has a tendency to give rather severe burns.
- Solid Projectiles: As the deflector shield uses only a ray shield, slugthrowers, debris/shrapnel, and physical melee weapons will simply pass on through the shield and hit the user.
DESCRIPTION
When the Ancient Eye fell, Sekhet realized that she no longer had anyone that she could call her ally to protect her. This brought her to Ankhypt for a time with the sole purpose of building a small, elite force of guards to protect her wherever she may go. Designs were requisitioned for both weapons and armor, veteran soldiers were interviewed and selected, and her money was drained significantly for the resources.
This is one of her resulting products. The Nehksin-pattern Ceremonial Armor combines foreign designs with Anubian aesthetics to give its users a highly efficient form of defense. Modern plastoid, armorweave, and shield technology has been implemented in the design along with the legendary touch of some of the best smiths that money could buy on Ankhypt to give the suit an added boost. Most small arms blasters will find it difficult to penetrate the armor, though kinetic weapons may have an easier time with punching through. The lack of a helmet, although a clear flaw, has been chosen for aesthetic reasons owing to ancient tradition and the like.
The built in ray shield functions like a typical riot shield with the added feature of having a collapsible telescopic frame for ease of storage and access. As the armor itself is rather limited in power however, the shield's battery is only capable of running for approximately two hours before requiring a recharge. Excessive force against the shield will shorten this time or even cause it to overload in the more unfortunate scenarios.
Lightsabers can be stopped, but the battery itself can only take perhaps three to five direct hits before being rendered useless.
