STRENGTHS
- Porcupine: The Neo-Phytarix Class Cruiser is designed with a wide spread of various weapons, situated along the entire length of the vessel. They are placed in calculated positions to offer maximum coverage for the entire vessel, severely limiting the number of blind spots enemy vessels could use against it.
- Hangar: As is common among Ailaran warships, the Neo-Phytarix has a below average sized hangar for a vessel of its size and class, and the hangar it does have has only a single narrow opening on the bottom of the vessel. Starfighters are only able to deploy two at a time from the hangar, drastically increasing the amount of time needed to deploy its full compliment in a combat situation.
- Exposed Towers: The communication and sensor towers on the Neo-Phytarix Class are easily visible and exposed from the rest of the vessel, and dedicated enemy fire to these targets could potentially cripple the vessels communication and targeting capabilities without too much trouble.
With the escalating threats facing the northern portion of the galaxy, and due to their close proximity to the constantly under siege Sith Empire, the Empire of Ailara determined that a front line combat cruiser would be needed to help shore up and defend the fledgling nations borders. The Neo-Phytarix Class Cruiser comes from the same lineage as other Ailaran Navy vessels, ancient Sith designed brought up to modern standards and deployed at haste across the Degan star system under the direct supervision of Emperor Acharon.
