Biography:
Born in the Coruscant Underworld as the second child of Bryceke Kynnovan and Alexis Amaratha-Kynnovan, the young Nesota was quick to learn the most important rule of survival in the lower levels of the Galactic Capital; never get involved in other people's business. It was widely considered to be bad form and Nesota's parents, who owned and operated a small clinic in one of the particularly bad parts of the level, made a good enough living out of people who thought otherwise to instill upon their daughter a healthy respect for the unspoken Underworld rules. As she grew up however, watching how her parents always patched people up and accepted payment without asking further questions was something the puberal Nesota came to view as submissive. It wouldn't be until much later when Nesota, at that point already working for the Coruscant Security Force, found out that her parents had actually been a stabilizing influence upon the community; negotiating with the various gang leaders to create a neutral area for the wounded in exchange for healthcare without questions asked.
Back in her late teens however, Nesota refused to look at the bigger picture and instead kept perceiving her parents as submissive and hopelessly surrendered to their fate in the Underworld. Not willing to spend her entire life like that, she began to turn her attention to the various gangs in the level, often when they frequented her parents, and Nesota soon romanticized what they represented; power, respect, and the freedom to make their own choices in life. Eventually, and despite the best attempts of her parents to stop her from doing so, the puberal Nesota would start to associate herself with a gang called the '12th Block Tuggles'.
After almost a year of running minor errands for the gang and committing acts of petty theft, there would be a turning point for Nesota. One evening, after the entire area spent an entire day in blistering heat because the local climate control systems had been damaged in a shootout, rising tensions began to erupt. Blaming the local authorities for deliberately turning up the heat as a means of punishing the entire area, several of the gangs began to provoke widespread civil disturbance in the area. Amidst looting and one of the most serious riots the area had ever seen, the authorities brought down the hammer of the Coruscant Security Forces in order to restore public order. Nesota, who had gotten scared and was hiding inside a flipped speeder, witnessed first-hand how the riot forces cleaned the streets and established themselves, at least in Nesota's eyes, as the most powerful gang in the Underworld of Coruscant.
Nesota would find herself to be in luck. Despite having been part of a gang, the '12th Block Tuggles' had been a relatively minor gang and, due to her young age, she was only ever involved in petty theft of little actual consequence. Without a notable criminal record for an Underworlder, the eighteen-year old Coruscanti was eventually admitted into the Security Force Academy with little difficulty. That is also where her luck ended though as, instead of an easy posting at the upper levels of Coruscant, Nesota found herself assigned to the Underworld Police and their vigorous training program. In hindsight it was something the Coruscant Security Force would do to all Cadets with an Underworld upbringing, just to root out those who weren't suitable for the job. Irregardless, Nesota took the challenge head-on to earn what she'd always wanted to achieve; respect and the freedom to make her own choices in life. Giving herself to the very limit as she made her way through the Security Force Academy, the 5'3" Coruscanti would eventually manage to graduate as salutatorian of her year, just after a Wookie named Hok.
From that point onward, Nesota would begin a whole new life for herself. During the years that followed she always held true to one single rule, the most important rule of survival for a Law Enforcement Officer in the Underworld, and that was to get as involved as possible in the business of whoever happened to crossed her path. Despite the nuisance she would become to the criminal element in her level, which actually resulted in three reassignments to guarantee her own safety, Nesota did her job with a morbid enthusiasm and an almost scary efficiency. Upon turning twenty-four, she would earn herself a promotion to the Coruscant Security Force's Major Crime Unit; allowing her more freedom to operate and actually allowing the Coruscanti to access the upper levels of the Galactic Capital for the first time in her life. In truth, it was not what she'd expected.
