Name: Nesryn Xylia
Alias: Ryn
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Long, Brunette
Force Sensitive: No

Strengths
  • Can read a room/people
  • Tech savvy
  • Uncanny instincts

Weaknesses
  • Severe PTSD
  • Likes to shoot first and ask questions later
  • Still trying to get away from her Mandalorian life

Personality

For the most part, Nesryn is the epitome of calm and collected. She doesn't let a whole lot get to her in terms of being bad mouthed, threatened, etc. To her, it's always seemed much more effective to let a target/person sweat through her calm than to explode into rage and cause bodily harm right away. Ryn's mind is quick to calculate a situation and possible outcomes, and her instincts are usually eerily on par.

But most of her rough and tumble life has come to a screeching halt. While Nesryn is no less calm, there is a limit to her collectedness. Little things have the ability to trigger her in a bad way, and most of them have to do with her former way of life - a way of life she just can't seem to get away from fully, no matter how hard she tries.

Bio

The entirety of Nesryn's history is of little to no importance, or so she would tell anyone who asks her about it. The only real important detail would be her Mandalorian roots. But in her opinion, her life did not really start until she had found her other half, and that had been a rocky start. The pair had been rivals over a single job, unknowingly pitted against each other to put profits in someone else's pocket. Unfortunately for those who had been involved, it didn't end so well for them, but ended just fine for Nesryn and her by-then partner Caelum.

From that point on, the pair tackled all of their jobs and bounties together. The more complicated the job, the better. It meant more credits for them to pocket and only helped to get their names out there, boosting their reputation. Over the years, the duo gathered a crew - a clan of their own though they never really called it that. Every person had their own job, their own part to play, and they were damn near flawless in their job execution.

Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end, and Nesyrn and her family's ride on the high side was no exception to this cosmic rule. One job gone wrong, thanks to a traitorous person - not of her crew personally, but of someone one of her crew had scorned - and all hell broke loose. Everything fell apart too quickly for anyone to really keep up with. Firefights gave way to space chases, which ultimately lost the crew their ship, and once they were stranded the lot of them were literally dead in space. The crew fought with everything they had, but ultimately it wasn't enough.

Nesryn watched as her crew, her family were slaughtered, which included her by then fiancé, Caelum. The ship was left adrift, and Ryn had been left to die along with the others. And yet, she woke weeks later aboard another ship, no recollection of where she was or how she had gotten there. She had been informed they had been a ship in passing and checked the debris - salvagers - and found her, but they had not matched the body count to the numbers Ryn had. Naturally, they couldn't tell her who they had found and who they hadn't. The meltdown that followed was legendary, but ultimately Nesryn was dropped off at a space port and left to her own devices.

At that point, she had no choice but to pick up the pieces and move on. Guilt over her survival weighs heavily on her, and she still has yet to be able to throw herself back into any line of mercenary work. The triggers that come over what had happened are random, severe, and she just cannot get herself to relive those last moments again and again. She's moved from place to place now, keeping herself afloat by taking Slicer jobs. But anyone who knew her before are very far and few between, and Ryn prefers to keep it that way.
