Strengths & Weaknesses
Intensive Training: The Network Fireteams are a highly trained, highly capable combat force with a repertoire of tactics and fighting acumen. Allowing them to achieve strong team cohesion and respond appropriately to threats in the field.
Advanced Combat: As with many combat forces in the Collective, the Fireteams are a specialized forced equipped with advanced technology. There are few situations in which they’d find themselves at a technological disadvantage.
Special Division: Despite their fearsome capabilities, the Network Fireteams are not an army and thus aren’t equipped for battle. In such a scenario they would be ill-equipped and at a disadvantage without proper support or logistics.
Reactive Force: The Network Fireteams are deployed to respond to threats, and will rarely ever be stationed at any point of attack. This also means that when they do arrive, they have to plan around the activities of their enemy.
Description: The Network Fireteams were formed out of necessity against those who would threaten Collective bases, operations, and assets. Their nature as a special division means they are granted specialized training and first-rate combat equipment. With support from other operatives and combat outfits, the Fireteams also prove to be an effective shock force to assault an enemy stronghold. Should the need ever arise.
Most of these fighting men and women once served soldiers in the various galactic militaries of the last decade; each one bringing a unique perspective and set of experiences from their previous allegiances. Many members of the Fireteam are not with the Collective for financial interests, but rather they actually believe in the goals of the organization and are willing to give their life in combat if necessary.
As impressive as they are the Network Fireteams are not an army of any kind, however. They lack the equipment, numbers, support, and logistics to hold their own in sustained battle and are best deployed in special operations. Should they need to, they still can put up a fight against a superior force until they are reinforced or extracted. Nonetheless, the Fireteams remain a first-response unit ready to protect the Collective’s interests against external and internal threats alike.
