Yag’Dhul, homeworld of the Givin and world of commerce. For decades the Givin have presided over a civilization of plenty. Their every decision governed by mathematics, logic and ratio. Moreover, every trade ship that passed through their spaceports pays a tax and sitting at the intersection of the two premier hyperlanes of the Galaxy? It means the Givin have a lot of taxes coming in.
But while on the surface Yag’Dhul looks peaceful (ironic considering its violent atmosphere forcing the Givin to live in hermetically sealed vault-cities) far more is brewing underneath it than anyone suspects.
Recommendations: Senators, Diplomats and Corporations
Givin High Society has invited the Alliance’s cream of the crop to an Ascension Ball. An event to celebrate the coming ascension of Yag’Dhul to the Galactic Alliance as a fully fledged Federate member-world. However, the Givin surprise you when you arrive. Rather than a dull affair with drinks, they present the Alliance with a problem.
Unknown to its wider society, the most brilliant Givin minds have predicted their society is facing ecological annihilation by the end of the decade. If they do not act now, their vault-cities will soon find themselves shattered by increasingly more violent tidal waves.
As such the Givin are asking you for ideas to assist. Nothing is off the table, but it has to be feasible and it has to secure their existence as a species.
It doesn’t take long before the Senate, already divided by special interest groups, begins to scheme. If their group, be that Federalist, Corporatist, manage to crack the problem? They will gain invaluable influence with Yag’Dhul society. The Givin have already suggested whoever brings them the solution will have a dominant presence on the future Alliance embassy for Yag’Dhul.
Nothing less than exclusive influence over half the trade in the Outer Rim is at stake.
Recommendations: Jedi & GADF
Members of the Defense Force and Jedi Order are required to establish a forward base to monitor the Rimma Trade Route and the Corellian Trade Spine. Intel has reported that there’s a former Imperial-battle station that has been abandoned and can be repurposed. Task Forces are deployed to the station to clear it out; only to find it occupied by Reavers. Initial hostile contact led to such losses; it was immediately suspected that the Reavers had some sort of Force-based assistance, since they managed to repulse the first GADF wave with little effort. Intelligence suggests they might be supported by shamans who are capable of divining the future to some degree.
This is why the subsequent attempt became a joint-mission between the Jedi and the GADF. Combined with their prowess in pushing back against Darkside influence, the dual approach should be able to take the battle station back.
Control of the battle station will make it that much easier for the Galactic Alliance to expand their influence and project power throughout the region.
