Never Give Up On Your Dreams

The young queen wasn't as involved in the day to day happenings of the Kesh as she wanted to be. Today was different though and she was present when a prisoner was brought in. Trying to maintain a regal attitude, Zesiro failed greatly and almost fell out of her chair.

Here was somebody she might know and this person she was very fearful of. Pretending her movement was something she had planned on, she turned to adjust her clothing. All the time, she watched the person being lead in. He might be in chains, but that might not hold him if he truly wanted to break free.

Charges were brought against him. He had been caught attempting to hunt on the royal palace grounds. Shaking her head after she had recovered, she waited until he had spoken before she would say anything.

The judge looked at the man and lifted his eyebrows in surprise.

"It is rare anybody comes to the royal grounds for hunting. How do you plead?"

After entering the room, Rexus surveyed his surrounding, feeling nervous before the crowd. 'So much people, why do they show me such discontent' he thought to himself. After he was brought up to the stand he looked forward and caught a glimpse of a familiar face. A light grimace formed on his face revealing his teeth.

"Is it rare that anybody comes to the royal grounds for hunting. How do you plead"

"Guilty, i will not deny what i have done. The beast was to worthy to be left unclaimed, its felt would have fetched a fair price." he spoke with certainty.
"But What you have done, is beyond words. Have you any idea, what you have cost me.." His hissed with bloodshot eyes, trying to remain calm.

The voice was not the same as the one Zesiro had feared it would be and she looked closer at the being on trial. He asked if they were aware of what their actions had cost him and she crossed her arms over her chest to lean back. If the judge did not speak of a sentence, then she had the perfect one for him.

An old and very clearly human male sat in front of the chained Trandoshan. He may or may not have been aware of what Rex asked, but it didn't matter in his mind. He had been the one caught trying to poach and was now standing in his courtroom.

"Guilty then."

Lifting up his gavel and slamming it down on the table, he stood up to proclaim the sentence he had in mind for the crime. His eyes fell on the Queen and his eyes lit up. She might be Queen here, but she wasn't around often to help in matters such as this. So the sentence he had in mind changed in a heartbeat and he looked back at Rex.

"Your sentence will be to help our Queen with whatever she requests for the time of three months. If you don't go poaching again in those three months, you are free to leave."

Rexus was left in a state of disbelief...
Everything in the room went quiet for him, he thought back to his childhood. He thought back to all the time he spend with his brother.

'If i don't get out of here, my sacrifice will mean nothing. All i have done, what i have been through, all of that training for nothing. Oh no, what will He think. This will not stand with the Jabuta.' He thought to himself. His heart-rate began to quicken rather rapidly, his cold blood began to boil in his veins. He felt nothing but a wave of rage pull him under. And then suddenly a jolt of electricity in his head calmed him down, before his cybernetics deployed Valium into his blood, stream. He was emotionless as calm as the plains on Trandosha.

Oh how he longs to visit his ancestral homeland. The Silver Jedi have been there long enough. But that is for another day.

He takes a gulp of air, "So be, i shall accept my punishment.". He looks at the Monarch, awaiting a response.

Letting out a growl at the sentence given and giving the judge a rather dirty look, the queen got up from her chair and motioned for Rex to follow her. The sentencing was finished for him and they were to be together.

He was not yet taken out of his chains, but she walked slow enough that he could keep up with her. She wore a simple, but a well-made dress. Fitting for a queen but certainly not something formal or gaudy. That would not have fit the character of her personality. Some of her life had been revealed to her, but some of it was still lost to time.

Hearing that he would accept his punishment, she just hoped he would prove to be one she could work well with. Time would tell in that aspect and she almost dreaded the next three months.

Once they had left the courtroom and moved a short distance away, she stopped. A couple of guards came out, handed her a key and left again. Giving her bows of respect on the way out. Turning now to look at the companion force onto her, she held the key out to undo his cuffs.

"What they did was take away your Jagannath Points you have earned for your Scorekeeper."

For once in her life, she was actually showing some intelligence. Something that was not common with her.

He shook his head, as he walked forward towards here with his hand held on front of him.

"Yes, that is what they have done. Those men, have taken my honor away."He spoke quietly with shame.

He stopped shaking his head and rubbed his wrists after the chains were removed.
"It is good that the people of Kesh have chosen such a wise queen. If only the others were more respectful, we would not be in this mess". He spoke politely, attempting to socialize. Rexus began to look around the palace admiring the architecture and looking for unhatched windows. "Nice place you got here, I notice the Keshire influence. Such perfect craftsmanship".

"Can you earn your points back?"

She knew some things, but not everything and this was one aspect Zesiro did not know about. Better to gain the knowledge to have it, even if she never used it again. Stepping back when she removed his cuffs, she waited to see if he was going to try and escape or anything. He didn't and then attempted to actually make some conversation with her.

"I actually married the king and because of that, I became queen. However, I've grown in the role I play and the people seem to mostly like me."

One of the guards came back to take the key from her and Zesiro motioned for Rex to follow her.

"My name is Zesiro. We're going to be spending the next three months together. What do you want me to call you?"

Giving him a bit of a smile, she nodded in thanks when he mentioned the architecture of the palace around them.

"Yes there is a way for me to regain my honor, though it will be difficult" Rexus spoke with a slight hint of confusion, as he himself knows only what his father told him about the Scorekeeper.

He noted her, smile and saw that she meant no form of hostility.

"You may call me Rexus, Rexus No Jiin of The Children of War." He responded.

He followed her as she led him down the hallway. Once again looking to see if there were any blast door systems put into place.

"So which tasks are to be requested of me?" He spoke with curiosity.

"Very well, Rexus. I am Zesiro and you can call me that."

Though she had already given him her name, she decided to repeat it. Listening to his answer, she nodded. When he asked what sort of tasks he would be doing, she shrugged her shoulders slightly.

"Well, I will have to come up with something. What are your strengths?"

Deciding to learn more about him, she figured she could make use of the strengths he did have. As long as it wasn't fighting, there was something she could use him for, she was sure of it.

He puffed up his chest, with a strong sense of pride. It is not common, that he gets to talk about himself. Most of his contractors are rather quiet, and brash. Wanting him to do his job quick, and effortlessly.

"I was born into war, for the glory of the Fel Empire i am but a weapon to be guided, and wrought unto their enemy. I am a man of few skills,
Though i can kill more than man, if there be any beast. I shall slay them by dawn."

He looked at Zesiro, eagerly awaiting her answer

Of course, it would be fighting, just her luck. However, an idea did come into her mind.

"C'mon, let me show you where your room is. I just hope the bed fits..."

She didn't take him any holding cell, jail or dungeon. The room she had in mind was near her daughter's room which was close to hers.

There was a normal sized bed with sheets, but the other items there were hopefully large enough for him. Pointing it out to him, Zesiro turned and pointed to the other rooms nearby. A red-headed girl stuck her head out and screamed before running back into her room and closing the door.

"That is my daughter Hannah. Maybe you can get her comfortable enough to come and teach her how to fight? If not, I will think of other things to do in the next three months."
