Never go Home

[member="Bounce"]

Corellia was a broken world, she still wasn't certain how much was still intact in places but having come here once the padawan had been able to see the remains of Corsec. Hell her old family home was supposed to be there somewhere and that was the goal of going there to search so she could see if there was anything left from the long line of old and cranky jedi in her family. Selena wasn't around to complain and her master was doing who knows what as she piloted the honorable towards the planet.

The advanced isotope molecular shields were an amazing thing to have as she was heading down towards the planet. Her utility belt full of gear as she was rather terrible at most force skills.... Head attempts at telekinesis usually ended with her getting hit in the face instead of stopping something but she could snatch a blaster bolt and knew how to use her families skill.... also she had a blaster and a saber... Those usually handled problems like getting people to not fight.

So she had that going for her while setting up a beacon to call for some help from fellow silver's who were out there and could help. She set the honorable fighter in place climbing out and letting her hair stay in ponytails as she pulling them back tightly with a kama around her waist before she was hoping off the ship and walking into the one streets.

Corellia.

The small, elliptical frame of the Alderaan Queen drifted through the pieces of a shattered world. He came here sometimes to meditate. To wander. Looking for answers to questions that bothered him so.

He hadn't found any here. Only the echo of all other questions that had been asked, and the mystery that some questions led only to more questions. And no answers.

Nearly one thousand years earlier, he'd been born in a hamlet known as Bela Vistal. He'd visited Coronet, but when he thought of home he thought of the open, wild places. The mountains. The valleys. Of course, once the Jedi had discovered that he could use the Force, he'd been required to go with them to Coruscant. To be tested. To be trained. To become a Jedi, if the Council would allow it.

But he was Anzat. All of them used the Force.

It was how they hunted, as vampires preying on the souls of man.

The future he saw for himself was very much like Corellia today. Shattered. Broken. A dark world, which promised only death. Only destruction. Only the end of dreams.

The boy's brooding was interrupted by a signal. The comlink registering a beacon transmitting on a frequency used by the Silver Jedi. Looking at it curiously, the young Jedi keyed in the coordinates and eased the freighter toward the signal's origin.

They were a long way's from Voss. So what was another Silver Jedi doing all the way out here?

The surface of the world seemed the same but she could feel it... even with her usual inability to sense things she could feel the wrongness of it clinging to her skin like a sweat during a sickness. She wasn't feeling much else but kept a smaller secondary beacon on herself so if someone found the ship they could find her and she was moving towards her old family home. She hadn't been there since we was a little girl and had come back only once with a couple green jedi when Aika had sent her on a quest to discover herself. She hadn't really discovered much more then she really liked working out in some of the different arena's of the galaxy... Now she was coming home to a place where she would face challenges and have to see what there was to fight. "Alright... lets just hope some massive monster didn't move in here.

The boy parked the Alderaan Queen and set out on foot.

Drawing his green cloak about his small frame, the young Jedi headed out from the shadow of the Corellian ship and into the broken hills of a countryside which now was forgotten. A signal in the distance was like a voice in the wilderness, beckoning him with the mystery of who might be out here. Had they come in search of something? Was there anything to find here?

Was there still a Corellia to try and find? Or was it all just walking on a boulevard of broken dreams?

He set out in search of answers, though he didn't expect to find any. Merely the questions which seemed to paint the colors of the wind into shades of gray.

The twisted roads and broken sections of the world screamed to her and as Lorna kept moving she though she saw things out the corner of her eyes for a moment but then something would not be there. A moment or two later and she would start moving as it sounded like something was there following with squeaking wheels in need of oil. She didn't know what it was before she was moving now letting her attention go to one of the ruined trees as she just felt slimy with the force coming off of everything and she didn't really want to try and absorb the energy around her to use for the force. Slowly she could see it in the distance or at least what was left of it as the sign for the street came up and she was moving towards it.

The world felt strange.

It was as though the Force were a shattered mirror. Disturbances radiated outward and all around like a spider web of cracks, manifesting themselves in tremors that seemed to reinforce the fact that this world was no longer whole.

As he made his way toward the signal, he saw a figure moving in the distance. A young woman with a muscular physique enhanced by the sleeveless blue tunic she wore. Was that the person he'd come to find? If so, he didn't recognize her. But then, he was still adapting to life in the Silver Jedi Order. As he started on the path behind her, the boy called out to her.

"Hello there."

She kept walking forward down the street and she could remember it, wondering if Selena had returned home at any point while she was away from everyone else as her eyes were drifting back and forth. THen she heard something else while being distracted and it nearly made her jump as her heart started racing. No one was here... were they? Well she was but that was because she was an idiot while she turned around and saw someone... saw some kid as she stood there for a moment with her attention on him while she stopped walking and her hand reached for her blaster unclipping it. "Hi." She was careful but lacking skills in sensing people or intentions was something she really needed though before moving. "So ah you come here often?"

The boy stopped, casually observing as the woman set her hand to the butt of her blaster.

What would the great Master Yoda have said in this situation? Away with your weapon. I mean you no harm? Raising both hands to show that he was unarmed, the young boy dryly remarked, "I promise I'm not seeling any Star Scout popcorn. Or cookies." Which, more's the pity about the cookies. "Though, I rather fancy the thin mints myself..." the youngling mused aloud, pausing as though to consider which star system might have scouts still hocking cookies for a mark-up.

"I live on Drall," the boy explained, lowering his hands as he tucked his arms inside the sleeves of the green cloak he wore. "I saw a Silver Jedi beacon and wondered who would have ventured out this far from Voss."

Well that was a shame she had to admit and stood there with her hand coming up while she was looking at him leaving her hands free. "Well that is a shame the thin mints are the best kind." She was grinning now and walked a little ways. "I came here to see if there was anything left of my families home. Though everything feels wrong here and I am terrible at sensing." She was looking around on the street. "And there is that feeling that something is just waiting to attack once I let my guard down. Just want to get in there and find my families legacy."

Her family's legacy?

"You come from Corellian stock, then?" the boy inquired, looking at the woman. The blue tunic was definitely the wrong color if that was the case. "What was it that your family did on Corellia?" the youngling asked, a mild interest peeking through as he spoke. The Xantha family had lived on Corellia for generations. Before the Dark Times.

Before the Empire.

With the death of Bo-Mar Xantha during the Yinchorri Uprising and Sor-Jan's own disappearance during the Clone Wars, the boy was quite unaware if any of his own family had survived. More than likely not, sad to say. His own parents had been incapable of having children of their own, hence his adoption. And Bo-Mar had been a soldier. Too wild to have settled down, and gone too soon.

Gone too soon.

It seemed an epitaph he repeated far often, save for himself.

What would the words say for him? You either die a hero or live to see yourself become the villain.

Reaching up a hand, the boy offered to take the Jedi woman by the arm and venture on with her. "Well, should anyone attack, I think us well prepared," the boy boasted with a smile. At least for now the demons were at bay. The sleeping vampire slumbered still.

"Yes." She kicked her feet a little. "Kind of, I am part of the family but they sent me to the jedi before really learned anything. I would have loved to enter Corsec like my dad but all I got is his ship and the memory of a family crystal." She said it with a laugh though while looking around and they were well armed and able to take care of any problems she was more then certain. Then she was moving backwards a little and looking out. "I am Lorna Halcyon... Horn... Our family uses either name depending on what we want to do. Jedi go Halcyon, Corsec go Horn but all live here."

Horn.

There was a Corellian name. Only the Sal-Solos laid claim to a more robust lineage. "Xantha," the boy answered in kind, looking up at the taller girl as he said, "Sor-Jan Xantha."

Part of him hoped that perhaps she would recognize it. It would hold out hope that perhaps the name had survived, somehow. Even still, the rational part of his mind knew that possibility to be unlikely. "Anything I can do to help you find the crystal?"

Somehow that name was familiar and not... She had been just a little girl so not everything was clear but the offer to help was there and heading into the building she was moving with her attention on the picture of the family. It was cracked and ruined like the rest of the place but she knew that there was always a chance as she was going in and looked in one of the closets finding a cloak. The jade green off set and better with her skin tone but it was tattered from exposure and just having a house fall on it. The rest of the place while she made her way back towards the sections that were ruined were much the same way and she found the mantle where some of the things were left over. A swift bike gear shifter on a stand as she picked it up and parts of it were damaged while there were sounds of more things outside. Her skin was crawling before opening up the saber hilt for the dark honey crystal and she held it. "The emitter matrix is damaged, it could blow up if we used it." Which gave her an idea just in case but blowing up a lightsaber was not really an easy task or something she wanted to do but good to have options in some cases. She'd need to be careful trying to head back this far into the danger zone.
