DESCRIPTION
Nevermourne is a Mace, a large weapon meant to wielded by a large individual. Craft from Sarrassian Iron and laced with phrikite ore it is saturated with the darkside, pulsing with the negative emotions used to forge it.
The Mace itself measures approximately 48" (122cm) in length from the butt of its haft to its head which is bulky and larged, flanged on the sides aid in crushing armor and delivering kinetic force with every blow. The Head houses a Repulsor Field generator as well ensuring that every blow struck by Nevermourne generates even more force than otherwise possible and when struck against the ground or used to land a particularly heinous blow can release a shockwave of repulsor energy similar to a 'Force Repulse'.
Another feature of Nevermourne is the ability to detach its head from haft, the two sections of the weapon tethered together by a 'lightwhip' like extension transforming the weapon into a Morningstar. The Morningstar has a greater reach than the Mace, stretching an additional 24" and can be used to extend its angle of attack as well as to build momentum for even more powerful blows. It is more difficult to use Nevermourne as a Morningstar, the awkwardness of such a large weapon ensures it is dangerous to those not properly trained.

Repulsor field
Repulsor fields were generated by energy field projectors that were used on many emplacements and stations set in harsh environments. One large station that used a repulsor field was the Separatist headquarters on Mustafar, because of the dangerous lava rivers and gases that could damage the...

Lightwhip
Lightwhips were a heavily modified lightsaber variant with one or more plasma blades in flexible containment shields. Due to the blades' flexibility, they required more care of use than a regular lightsaber, and had less cutting power. With a history dating back to the Sith Wars, lightwhips were...

Sarrassian iron
Sarrassian iron was a metal that was found on asteroids in the Aniras belt. Ancient Sith alchemists valued it in crafting weapons and armor, because it contained special particles that resonated with the dark side of the Force.[1] In 35 ABY,[2] the Symeong Albrekh used Sarrassian iron to weld...

SPECIAL FEATURES
Repulsor Field Generator
Detachable Head
STRENGTHS
- Versatile: Nevermourne's primary function is as a large Mace however it can transition into a Morningstar variant. Doing so causes the head to detach creating a 'lightwhip' like tether that attaches head and haft allowing the weapon to be swung on a larger arc and with greater velocity than otherwise possible.
- The Big BOOM: The head of Nevermourne is fitted with a repulsor field generator at its core that can be activated when the weapon lands a solid blow to a surface or individual. Doing so creates an enormous shockwave similar to what can be encountered by a 'Force Repulse' which can hurl bodies and even small vehicles backwards.
- Foci for the Darkside: The Sarrassian Iron used in the construction of Nevermourne is an attractant to the Darkside of the Force, anyone wielding the Mace will find it easier to channel powers that are naturally inclined to the darkside.
- Lightsaber Resistant: Due to the Phrikite Alloy lacing Nevermourne it is highly resistant to lightsaber contact, a heavy enough blow might be able to fracture the Mace but only after a significant amount of stress was put on it.
WEAKNESSES
- Cortosis: Like a lightsaber Nevermourne is not immune to Cortosis and an interaction with such will deactivate the 'lightwhip' tether binding the head and haft together. If this happens when Nevermourne is being used as a Morningstar expect the head to go flying wildly, perhaps with unintended results if the Repulsor Field is activated.
- Corruption: The Darkside pulsates through this weapon and any wielding it will eventually become corrupted by it. There is no hiding the taint of the Darkside when Nevermourne is within range of anyone capable of sensing it.
- Unwieldy: As a Mace Nevermourne is simple enough to use but transitioned into a Morningstar it becomes highly unwieldy, anyone using it requires training and practice or there is an extremely high probability they will harm themselves in the process.
- Force Nullification/Negation: Under circumstances where the Force is Negated or Nullified the Foci aspect of Nevermourne ceases to work as does the corrupting aspect of the weapon. If the Force could be continuously suppressed then Nevermourne would, in theory also cease to corrupt and influence its wielders to the darkside.
