In an effort to break free of the normal economy of the Galaxy the Emperor has issued a new decree, calling to melt down all available silver, gold and other precious metals such as platinum and mint them into coins.
The new Imperial currency has been deemed the Princeps. Each piece varies in its relation to galactic credits but the largest denomination the Princeps Alpha is worth more than the rest.
Princeps alpha are larger gold coins and the main exchange currency when dealing with outsiders.
