New Alt, Old Member

Hey, guys.

I'm here to add to your NFU contingent! Some of you know my other alts, and fewer of you might know one specific alt - Kelly Perris.

Well, Tadel here comes about as part of an older storyline for Kelly on another site. Tadel Perris is the twenty-six year old son of Kelly Perris. In transplanting Tadel to Chaos, I've tweaked Kelly to accommodate their story from that other place, in an effort to cut ties with that place.

So, this makes Kelly fifty-one years old, which means I'll be taking him out of the cockpit and instead either trying my hand at fleeting or making him 'fly a desk'. I'd like some input from you other navy folks, if you have any.

As for Tadel, he'll fill the slot of fighter pilot in my character roster, and I'm dragging another PC pilot along with me. She'll pop up soon enough.

It's not unheard of to see fighter pilots become fleeters in canon (ex. Wedge Antilles), and while I always like to another fleeter to write with, I'm intrigued about your idea of "flying a desk ".

It's one of those realities that I haven't really seen explored a whole lot here on Chaos.

Have you thought about any specific "desk" or position that Kelly might fill?

The only 'desks' this character has 'flown' have been that of...

1) The head of Starfighter Command, a subsect of the Navy pertaining to all the starfighter squadrons in the fleet, that primarily deals with where squadrons are placed across the fleet, and what tasks they're assigned to.

2) Being the CAG aboard the flagship of one fleet or another more as an administrator and pilot instructor.

Either way, after being ousted from the cockpit, Kelly Perris usually ends up being the guy that all the squadron leaders answer to, at one level or another. Otherwise, I've been toying with starting to fleet for a long time.

...and being Wedge Antilles-esque was how I originally envisioned this character ~10 years ago, hah.
