New and Looking for some insight

Hi! I'm new to the forum as you can probably tell, I've done other roleplaying forums, but none to this scale. Could any of y'all give me some advice on how to meld into the ranks of this site better? Thank you, much appreciated!

Well, obvious first step is to get your character squared away. Once you know who you're playing and what you want them to do, start shopping around via the LFG subforum HERE, and try to find some like-minded people to sign on with. I'd also recommend you try and get involved in as many RPs as you think you can handle/can justify for your character. Never know what's lurking around the corner!

You've already gotten good advice, but I'll add mine: lurk. Read through a few threads, both public and private. This will give a feel for the general mechanics of the board. You said you have roleplaying experience so I'm sure you know the gist, but on a board this huge and old (in RP board years!), lurking gives you the chance to see how people do things.

And you already have my other piece down - don't be afraid to ask questions!

My two cents: Write what excites/interests you most. Chaos is huge and has an incredibly varied member base. There's something, and someone, for everyone. If you are loving what you are writing, other people with similar interests and goals will see it!

Well, I can't really expand or contribute further as most of the people here have already covered the most obvious and important information.

Other than what's already been presented? Just remember that, everybody regardless of seniority or position is a fan and writer the same as yourself. And if you do what you wanna do, like Irajah said others will see it. Everybody is here to have fun, so be sure to do what you enjoy most!

Also, don't worry about your muse. Life can happen, don't feel beholden to getting any posts or doing anything on anybodies time but your own. Enjoy yourself and, may the force be with you!
