The greatest secret of the Eternal Empire, of which very few know, is that Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe wants to destroy the Force itself. The Wardens of the Shroud are considered to be Darth Tacitus’ hidden, stalwart allies. They know of his true ambition to eradicate the Force from the galaxy. But power corrupts…

With the Eternal Empire’s recent victory over the Sith Empire, it has dawned on the members of the Wardens of the Shroud that he could actually accomplish this once nebulous feat. It began as sidelong comments and minor rumbling about the idea of losing their connection with the Force. But this mild discontent slowly began to erode the bonds of loyalty and was replaced by an unshakable desire to retain their powers drawn from the Force.

A trio of Lord Commanders from the Wardens of the Shroud met. Led in secret by Lord Commander Grohann, the trio and their allies among the Knight Wardens, and Warden Initiates decided they did not want to lose their connection to the force, but they also felt they could not stop Darth Tacitus alone.

Over the past couple of years, they began to find the military commanders who were discontent with how “relaxed” the Eternal Empire had become: allowing criminal elements into the empire, letting corporate entities run an entire planet instead of a deserving military commander, showing mercy when they believed no quarter should be given. The number of power-hungry and discontent military commanders numbered far more than the small gaggle of the Wardens of the Shroud anticipated. The military commander viewed as the leader of this military coupe was Admiral Rheetreus.

What began as minor discontent and rumblings of doubt grew into a full-blown secret military coupe. Plans were made for months and the audacity of the plan is what made it secret - no one would ever believe that anyone within the Eternal Empire would turn against Darth Tacitus. They simply began to wait for whatever key opportunity presented itself, planning and subverting from the shadows…

The deeds of the Eclipse Rebellion played into the hands of the Rebel soldiers. While Blackwatch chased the Eclipse Rebellion and Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim also secretly spent most of his time in the TSE area (at the order of Darth Tacitus, as a double agent), the Rebel soldiers did not remain idle either. At this time, they were able to organize calmly, until they were ready to strike when the time has some.

That opportunity came much sooner than the conspirators anticipated, but they knew opportunity when they saw it…and pounced. Darth Tacitus and Queen Vyra were declared officially “missing” following while they are coming back to Kalidan. And under the law, STRATCOM announced the disappearance. And all things that follows this. There are no surprises in the promulgation, everything was done exactly as described in the law.

Lord Commander Grohann and the small group of traitorous members the Wardens of the Shroud disappeared. They showed back up as a military contractor company advising the Eternal Empire military command. As soon as Ingrid L’lerim stepped up as the Empress Regent the military coupe began in earnest with whispers of this force being called “Eternal Truth”, referring to themselves as being the true Eternal Empire and not what it had become in recent years…

arWRVPQ.png

Starting situation

After the Emperor disappeared and @Ingrid L’lerim became the regent under the law, Tacitus’s enemies, now preparing to strike, because they believe the government without the Emperor is weak and confused. This rebel cell, the Eternal Truth launched a military coup.

Assassination attempts on the lives of those who would be loyal to Tacitus’ cause among PCs and NPCs. This would include Barons, members of Strategic Command, members of the Imperial assembly, military commanders loyal to Tacitus, and the traitorous Wardens of the Shroud attempting to assassinate their own. There would be a night of this as coordinated attacks, where most of their targets do not survive. This will be called “The Night of Truth”. everyone can tell their own tale here. When that night ends, open hostilities begin.

Naval engagements occur all over the Eternal Empire, led by Admiral Rheetreus, gaining control of various Eternal Empire Systems and engaging in full-blown fleet battles across EE space.

Ground engagements where the loyal forces of “The Eternal True” begin taking over ground installations, also causing ground battles across the Eternal Empire.

The government officials that survived these attacks have gone into hiding until the response strikes. What will start in the start of this thread.

Eclipse Rebellion – opportunity has presented itself and though they do not understand what this infighting spurs from, they are given the opportunity to take advantage of this chaos and champion the people. This can give them an opportunity to make bold moves and significant progress with their goals. Especially when the enemy rebels, the Eternal Truth who have been hunting them as well until then knock on their doors, so to speak, to ask for their help. This is because Loyalists are numerically superior and will most likely crush the coup.

arWRVPQ.png

Objectives

Objective 1: Hold Your Ground
9SzwYCR.png
Throughout the Eternal Empire, the Eternal Truth seek to capture and execute the members of STRATCOM, high rank leaders and officers, nobles, businessmen, and individuals known to be loyal to the Empire, to end Tacitus' rule.

Objective 2: Last Stand
cnmxIEp.png
The other part of the Eternal Truth are trying to paralyze the Eternal Fleet, not on the surface of the planets, but in space, so the Eternal Fleet cannot provide any help to the people trapped on the planets. In addition, bombings are being launched against strategically important areas and planets.

Objective 3: Break their will
6aF455F.png
This goal is in time a few hours, or a day or two after the coup, when it is already clear that the rebel soldiers will be defeated by the forces loyal to Tacitus. Then, since they can do very little else, the Rebels (Eternal Truth) visit the Eclipse Rebellion to offer them cooperation against the men of Tacitus. Even if they don’t want to destroy the Empire, they just will take the lead over it.

Objective 4: BYOO
NL5ZjYS.png
Bring your own objective, whatever you want.

It wasn’t a regular night, Ingrid was in the capital, well past midnight, but she was still working with the STRATCOM’s executives. This was the first day since the Emperor, Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe , was announced to have disappeared and she was taken over the regent duties under the law. There was a lot to talk about with the five Overseers, so she had sent a message to her husband hours earlier that Tubrok wouldn’t expect her during the night because she was working. So far, Ingrid had dealt with this before many times, as she had to, but it was typically under the supervision of the Emperor. But now she was the highest… She was the ruler of the Eternal Empire.

This disappearance also meant that her double agent work was over. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust Elaena Kessia Miran Elaena Kessia Miran not to be able to replace her later, but that task was still the leadership of the Empire. The fact that sometimes Chameleon showed up here and played the red-haired woman or led Blackwatch was a completely different matter. Meanwhile, she also received a message from her husband that he was on board the Dyadalmash with Ingrid’s father because the man wanted to talk to him in person. Certainly about how Ingrid became the Empress Regent and because of this, how the internal structure of the three clans, i.e. the House L’lerim, changes temporarily.

She didn’t deal with such little things at the moment, she figured it out later, not to mention that everyone else could handle it instead of her. But now back to work, the news of the disappearance was secret for the time being, she hadn’t gotten out of the Empire yet, which was very okay on the part of the woman. When they are done with everything, they will then be announced to the rest of the Galaxy as well. Ingrid was just listening to an explanation from one of the Overseer while checking the data on a datapad when one of the officers suddenly broke into the room, causing quite a resentment among the Overseer. Explosions could be heard from outside at that time. Ingrid raised her head and looked at the incoming officer.

<”My Lord! A rebel military and Warden group, calling themselves the Eternal Truth, launched a military coup against the legitimate government. Countless planets of the Empire have been attacked, as have the Fleet, members of the Wardens of the Shroud killing each other. Strategically important areas are being bombed and data show that barons, baronesses, officers and government people loyal to the Emperor have also been slaughtered!”>

<”Announce an emergency immediately, notify the Eternal Fleet and the Eternal Army as well as the Wardens, leaders, high rank officers and barons! We will put an end to this coup, and let the leaders of the Empire defend themselves, the Eternal Empire must not collapse!”>

The soldier saluted and ran out of the room.

<” I suggest you go to a safe place! Before they ask, I will not, I will not set a bad example for the Empire!”> then she sends a message to her disciple via the comm. channel. <”Mr. Ben Serrano Ben Serrano , come to the STRATCOM control room immediately and expect enemy forces along your way!”>

Urgent message from STRATCOM:
”In the territory of the Eternal Empire, the deserting military and Warden group, calling themselves the "Eternal Truth," began a military coup against the legitimate government. In light of this, who is faithful to the Emperor is not safe, whatever his rank within the Empire. STRATCOM has already started taking action against Eternal Truth, the Empress Regent’s command is as follows. The entire Eternal Fleet and Eternal Army, along with the Wardens of the Shroud arrange their lines and immediately start a counterattack against the rebel cell. The leaders of the empire should be escorted to safety because there is a chance they are preparing to commit assassinations against them. After all, the rebels could hope that their death would cause the collapse of the Empire.”

Tubrok Ragal was just aboard the Dyadalmash when the chaos broke out. Space was not exactly his specialty, as he was a general responsible for ground forces, but from this he naturally also learned space warfare. He was just on the bridge talking to his father-in-law, Admiral Jon L’lerim, when their own ships arrived on the planet and jumped out from the hyperspace. At first he did not find this suspicious, because of what happened today, it was logical that the leaders could return to the capital.

Too much has happened in a single day. However, it was already a surprise when the incoming Fleet opened fire on both the fleet around Kalidan and the surface of the planet. A few seconds later, they learned that this was The Night of Truth, a military coup. The next message they received from STRATCOM came along with his wife’s order. So they are rebellious, and he is stuck in space while he should have been in Vengard, or the capital.

<”You are the commander, Tubrok, by rank and marriage to my daughter.”> said the older admiral in his usual stiff voice.

The blonde Chieftain glanced at his father-in-law and nodded. It used to be the last time he had to lead a space battle. But he had to do it for the Eternal Empire, and of course for his Beldame. He stepped closer to the communications terminal and signaled one of the officers to open a channel in the direction of the Allied ships. Most of these at the moment belonged directly to House L’lerim, but of course there were also those who were loyal only to the Eternal Empire.

<”This is Lord Tubrok Ragal! I am speaking to ships faithful to all the Eternal Empire. Our primary mission is to prevent enemy dropships from arriving on the planet. The next and equal task is to prevent bombings. Once these are settled, we occupy the ships and seize them, and the traitors are captured and brought to justice along with their leaders.”>

The next moment, countless fighters and bombers set off from the ship's hangar toward the enemy ships, and the weapons were aimed, targeting the enemy fleet.

There were quite chaotic states in the Empire at the moment, and Kessia could not participate. She was still in the form of Curtis and in Lori's company at the moment. When the chaos broke out, she was in this situation, so she didn’t have a chance to join the Loyalists. She sent a telepathic message to the Empress Regent, from whom she had been ordered at the beginning to hold her position, and if she could, return to Kalidan immediately.

It still hasn't happened. And the Eternal Truth hunted not only the Loyalists, but the Eclipse Rebellion as well. They wanted to deal with everyone at once. Compared to the fact that there weren’t too many based on the data, it all seemed like a pretty bold pull for the woman. But for now, she had remained on a small bench, not liking to be set aside like that, so he hoped something would happen soon. Or they get to the rebels.

”What is your plan, my love? What do you want us to do? I would suggest that we pull ourselves somewhere so that you don't get in trouble, but knowing you, you definitely want to go to the center of events.”

In the end, he even smiled at her. Actually, this time he even hoped they would get involved in some sort of chaos where he could then suddenly disappear. He only wins if Lori calls Curtis unreliable and can beat a wedge between the two of them. But that wasn't her job yet.

”How long can the Eternal Truth last? Loyalists are still in the vast majority.” he thought loudly.

To tell the truth, it was a great question…

QEMD-15 Echo

Sirens wail, I might as well be dead.
Objective: 1
Location: Kalidan, just outside of Wulfngard
Tags: Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim , Open

A large, lone black figure stood against the contrast of Wulfngard. The figure was large, standing at 12 meters tall, towering over everyone near by. It was a droid, the utter stillness of it proved that. Its head was weirdly shaped, with what looked like two large loudspeakers on its head. The guards and other personnel that walked past the large droid looked up in marvel at it, or maintained a wide distance from it, knowing what it could do. It was a fairly nice night, at least, the droid thought so, as it could not feel. However, looking at the temperature, the wind speed, and the biosigns of the organics, it must be a fairly nice night.

Echo stared out to the horizon. Tonight, he was guarding the headquarters of the Eternal Empire. This was understandable, looking at the recent events that have taken place. It was obvious that you would want a large, terrifying defender of your most important landmark. If he could feel boredom, he would, as nothing was happening, but he didn't care. He wasn't allowed to care.

Then, suddenly, far away, explosions could be heard echoing. Echo and the other defenders turned to where the explosions were coming from. Echo could see smoke, and bright flares of light, far away. Explosions sounded all around them, seemingly occurring in random spots but mostly coming from the nearby city of Arcenon. Echo turned his large body towards the city. In the distance, he could see... Ships. Ships were coming down from the skies and down towards them. Friendly starfighters were engaging them, creating a large light show in mid air. All the way in orbit, he could see the specks and outlines of a battle happening in space.

This was it, they were under attack.

From Echo's loud speakers, a loud, piercing warning siren rang out, piercing through the sounds of distant battle. The personnel and guards near him sprang up at the sound of his warning sirens. People ran all around, preparing for what would happen next. They knew what the sirens meant.

It meant that the enemies have arrived.

Echo received an urgent transmission from STRATCOM. Over the sirens, he played the message.

The message played over the blaring sirens, being heard by everyone. After it finished, he replayed it, still playing over the sounds of the warning sirens.

The enemy ships approached the base, still gaining despite being attacked by Eternal Empire fighters. Rebel fighters accompanied the ships, defending them. Echo recognized what the enemy ships were: dropships. They were going for an all-out assault. Echo knew that this wasn't the only wave that would be sent, this was just the first wave. And boy, were there a lot of time. Aw... Look at them. So enthusiastic and excited. Didn't they know that this would be the day that they died? Still, there were quite a lot of them coming in. Echo could hear the turbolasers cannons firing at the incoming ships. He had no idea when the ships in the hangar would launch, though hopefully soon. The siren picked up in volume, giving a more urgent tone to anyone within the fortress.

Echo opened a comm channel to the Empress Regent, Ingrid L'lerim. "Empress Regent, Eternal Truth members are approaching. Their attack is about to begin. Your orders, Ma'am?" Echo reported to her. His strange cacophony of speech sounding through. His voice jumped everywhere, from male to female to young to old to even other species, that's just the way he talked.

The enemy ships approached. This is where the Eternal Truth would learn a valuable lesson:

To run while you still can.

Lucas adjusted his suit.

He had listened as the message played on repeat across the planet of Kalidan-Lysenia. He had listened and spent time thinking about how to react. If he wanted to protect his investments, he should have fled the planet and pretended that he had never been present on the planet, in Eternal Empire space.

He pushed back from his desk, standing from the office chair. The two higher ranking members of Telum who had joined him in the room were waiting to see what the Sith Knight, what their CEO planned to do. They needed to relay the information to Telum as a whole.

"Continue my operation as normal. I have a meeting to arrange and attend"

He pulled open a drawer on his desk, removing from it his Sith lightsaber. It was a weapon that he hadn't closed his fingers around for some time and he was excited to be using it once again. He was thrilled to have it in his grasp, the inner duelist within him desperate to be let free.

The turbolift carried him from his office to the hanger. His
shuttle was ready to take him from the city, take him out to the Wulfngard. He would travel with no other occupants with the exception of his pilots, for he wasn't sure how the person he was trying to visit would respond.

The pilots had managed to handle the landing well, getting through the clearances that were required to access the nerve center of the Enteral Empire. Lucas was helping, of course, using the force to gently persuade those needed that he was exactly where he was supposed to be.

He stepped from the shuttle, adjusting his suit once again, licking his teeth and double checking his lightsaber. He was very casual about how he walked into the
Wolfngard. No-one would stop him speaking to the Empress Regent, and those who did would find themselves persuaded to allow him entry.

The force was a powerful tool.

He didn't know where he was going, he was just winging it. He had never once been to the building, his only other meeting with the lady he was planning to meet with hadn't been in such a position of power. He was just hoping to find his way, and he was super happy when he realized he was finding his way.

Directly in front of him was Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim .

Fimrati had been stuck sitting in an office for too long. Sure, she still maintained her training, her skills. But she wasn't being sent on missions lately. It had grown to be an annoying state of affairs for the assassin for hire. Admittedly, prior to being put on this duty a couple of months ago, to help her 'acclimate to Imperial doctrine as a citizen', she had been running from one mission to the next. Since the Special Courier Service had bought her contract from the Black Suns for an indefinite length of time, she had been preparing and performing operations and missions of various sorts. But was still held as an 'outsider' due to her not being a full member of the Eternal Empire. Hence this particular assignment.

It was intended to help her better mesh in with the rest of the Empire's population, but so far all it had done was show just how different her life had been from the rest. It wasn't that she wasn't trying, or didn't care. It's just that she struggled to understand why they felt this was important.

Which made what happened while she was in the armory going over her various weapons seem all that more sad. Some trooper came in and told her that the Empress Regent had gone mad with power and was trying to break the Empire in that language they used, which merely got a deadpan bored look from Fimrati. She barely understood the language, despite being basically dumped into it for the last couple of months. It was while the guy was repeating himself for the umpteenth time that STRATCOM come out, including a notification to her personal data pad in Basic for her purposes. Picking it up off the table, she read over it, and then looked to the trooper. Unable to see his face through his helmet, his body language told her enough. This was one of those with 'Eternal Truth', and apparently thought to use her ignorance against her employer.

"Just one moment." She said in Basic, picking up her rifle, checking the charge and the gas chamber, and seeing it came back with a positive result, the man turned away, clearly thinking her on his side. That was his last mistake. Especially since her ABR1 blaster carbine tore through his back-plate with relative ease as he didn't expect the bark of the weapon behind him. Or that there'd be a half dozen shots in short order. As the corpse hit the floor, Fimrati clipped the weapon to it's harness point on her gear, while grabbing her Ziltus Jor pistols out of their place in her locker. She pondered also grabbing her BR16A1, and decided likely best to. She might well need the long range firepower at some point. But her AMRX-5 slugthrower was too much. It needed excessive long ranges to be effective, because of it's sound even while suppressed, and because it was a rifle that fired a beastly slug of 12.7mm size, meaning rapid fire was not an option.

Her armaments selected, she began to work her way towards STRATCOM's command office, figuring her first order of business would be to find the Empress Reagent and get her next set of orders directly. A shame Centiro Centiro was not present to her knowledge, she'd have gone to him instead, owing he was the one who technically held her contract in the first place. Her path was one of death and devastation to those of the 'Eternal Truth', for between her blasters, and the pair of high-caliber slugthrowers that were her Ziltus Jor pistols, almost making her seem like a whirlwind of death as she practically danced from one enemy combatant to the next.

The sound of boots could be heard approaching Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim and Lucas Harvey-White as more traitorous soldiers rushed towards them. As they began to take up positions to ambush their target, one man gurgled as suddenly a slug tore through his chest, Fimrati grabbing the heavy body and swinging it to provide her mobile cover as she holstered the one pistol to grab her carbine and braced it under the man's armpit, and opening fire on the three remaining troopers, who were confused at who was attacking them from behind, and thusly 'adjusting' their ambush to account for the new threat... only to realize as they did so out of training, that they'd exposed themselves to the pair they had intended to ambush.

Objective: 3

Lori watched the holonews with interest. However she wasn't entirely certain of how to act upon it. There were a number of different ways in which this could go. And not all of them were good.

"The Eternal Truth ....I don't really need anymore of them after me, Curtis." Ever since Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim had put up the bulletin about the capture or information on the Eclipse Rebels, it seemed as though she was being hunted down. The Galaxy around her felt almost as though it was shrinking around her and she didn't like that one bit. However instead of cowering and hiding, Lori faced it all head on.

She looked over to Elaena Kessia Miran Elaena Kessia Miran , lightly shrugging her shoulders. "The Eternal Empire had asked for our help before. I guess now we'll see how big of a threat the Eternal Truth is to them. Either the Loyalists will come to seek our aid, or they would. Either way, they'll owe me a huge favour." She wasn't going to let them get away with this for free. And truth be told, Lori hoped that they'd wipe eachother out.

But that was just wishful thinking.

As Ben meditated in his quarters, suddenly a message showed in his comlink. As he started to read it, he also heard the emergency message. He emerged from the meditation position, and grabbed his lightsaber through the Force. He was already wearing his uniform and skinsuit, he just had to grab his coat, and he was out of his room. As the doors sealed behind him, two sudden flashes gave signs of the enemy attack. Ben used his lightsaber to parry these, and he stared at the two humanoids, armed and dangerous. They made a mistake, they stared back, instead of continuing to fire. The young disciple used this moment to send his kind regards, wrapped into force lightning. He had no time to waste with these scums, and they were in the opposite direction of his destination, so it would have been a waste to rush there, and use his lightsaber to combat them. Using the force was faster.

By the time he arrives, he has already battled a few enemies, but he shows no sign of combat. His clothes are like new, and he doesn’t even pant, or sweat. He might have been lucky that he only encountered lackeys. He nodded to the Twi'Lek fighter, who battled the enemy ambush, and passed through her, straight into the enemy fire. He suppressed the feeling that he has to laugh. Such fighters could never take out Ingrid, with mere guns. He cut the remainers down swiftly, and soon after that he was standing in front of the Reagent.

“ You have summoned me, my Lord. “ He addressed Lady Ingrid, and because of the current situation, he changed the regular kneel to a deep bow, but he still felt no emotions whatsoever. He was doing good with this part of his training. He didn’t care about the man and the twi’lek either, since he wanted to share what he gathered out there first.

“ We are surrounded by soldiers, armed with guns, but I have yet to meet any notable fighter. I believe it might be a diversion, it would be foolish of them to rely on mass numbers against our army on this planet. They might have another plan that they are concealing with this attack, or they are just yet to show their true strength. “ He added, it wasn’t much useful information that he gathered, but nevertheless, it was intel, and he wanted to share that.

For the time being, Ingrid may not be sure who the attackers are, but she led the Overseer in the greatest security and added the most trusted, loyal people to them. Walked out from behind the table, right in front of the entrance, and waited. She knew that AMCO AMCO would not agree with her decision and would like her to hide, but Ingrid was not such a woman. She thought of the two beloved men, hoping that Tubrok would be okay in space, and glad that Adrian was far from this madness, probably on Dromund Kaas right now.

The door opened, they were soldiers of the Eternal Empire, but as soon as they saw her, they raised their weapons. It really was a coup, and these are simple Ultranauts. The red-hair woman didn’t like to have to kill her own people, but they were traitors and rebels. Ingrid stood militarily when half a dozen Ultranauts called her to surrender. She still didn't move as she was surrounded by raised guns. They didn't have a chance. This chance did not improve even when an assassin joined them.

They did not arrive for her arrest, but for her execution. She knew exactly that, just standing with a trembling face as if unarmed. The assassin pulled a knife, the soldiers secured their guns. Ingrid did not tremble, there wasn't any fear in her. Of course, she knew their people had received great training, but she was better than them and knew the weaknesses of their training. Not to mention that she had a reason in the position where. Her combat and mental abilities were also perfect.

<”Make my job easier and don’t resist.”>

<”Do you really think you can assassinate the Eternal Empire's finest assassin?”> she asked with a cold and emotionless sound.

Both the soldiers and the assassin were surprised by their reaction. They didn’t know her, they didn’t know she wasn’t going to be afraid, she wasn’t going to beg for her life like probably a good couple of other officers. There was a reason for her being the Emperor’s Hand and the Overlord of the Eternal Empire, now temporarily the Empress Regent. The next moment she disappeared from the eyes and sensors of the people of the Eternal Truth. She didn't even have to turn on her lightsabers, it took seven seconds for seven dead to lie on the ground. Whose neck she broke, whose throat she cut off, or whose spine with a dagger looted from one.

She rose from the ground in a visible shape again when the door reopened. Ingrid was almost throwing the dagger in the head of the incoming person when she saw that it was Lucas Harvey-White. She lowered her blade, but then more footsteps could be heard as they approached the office. The rebels were expected to attack the central commander of STRATCOM, where they hoped to find the Overseers and the Empress Regent. There were already seven dead soldiers at Ingrid's feet, and more were coming. It was then that she even saw Fimrati Vailyippin Fimrati Vailyippin , who was already fighting the rebels.

She didn’t have to intervene as the twi’lek woman killed them, but before she could speak, even her disciple, Ben Serrano Ben Serrano , arrived, meaning the young man was there next to / behind the twi’lek and helped the woman. But then she even got a comm. message from QEMD-15 Echo QEMD-15 Echo , the huge droid that Ingrid personally employed. It was a busy night and it was just the beginning of the coup.

<” Keep spying on the area and keep the Eternal Army informed of what you see. They may interfere with the sensors, your help can be a huge help to them. Help them, there is no need to take prisoners!”> she sent a message through the communication channel.

She then turned to the trio who were here nearby.

<” These are the people of the Eternal Empire. Based on soldiers sent against STRATCOM leaders, they are mostly Ultranauts. I have not yet received a report of rebellious Wolfguards. Based on the data received, this is a military coup called “The Night of Truth”. Their goal is to take power because they no longer consider the Emperor and the government to be appropriate governmental power. They believed that at this minute the Eternal Empire is weak and they do take over. Let's show them they're wrong! We can’t count on the Warden, among them there are rebels as well. Our primary task is to protect Wulfngard and the military and government leaders here from the executioners. And Mr. White… you can learn decency from my disciple, you were still unable to remember that my address was not “my Lady”, but my Lord!”>

From farther down the corridors, shots, footsteps and shouts could be heard again, as could the sounds of battle.

Some say it was inevitable.
There were always those within the military of the Eternal Empire who were discontent with the status quo, those who would sly, but surely, challenge the authority of the Strategic Command and the Emperor himself. Yet, Race had always believed they would never actually cross the throne, or STRATCOM for that matter.
He didn't even have time to process how wrong he had been when the first shot's were fired. They bore a hole into the side of the Solomon Penance, piercing it's black and purple armor.

"Fire back! Target thier engines!"
The Admiral strapped himself into his command throne, his black uniform glistening in the pale white lights of the bridge.
"Send a message to Lord Ragal, let him know I stand with the Empire"

The crackling red blade slid from the cold metal hilt that it was housed in.

The point of the red crystal entered the skull of the rebel behind him. He didn't even look at the man whom he had just slaughtered, instead choosing to keep his head and eyes focused on the Empress Regent in front of him. He wasn't trying to impress her, just trying to show how he was willing to help.

"Just ruined a perfectly good suit for you, my lord"

The Sith Knight spoke completely indifferent. He hated ruining his suits, it was normally why he tended to stay out of the battles that took place around him. He was a duelist at heart, but he liked wearing actual attire that was fit for dueling in.

The Dangerous One looked towards the disciple of the Empress, looked towards Ben Serrano Ben Serrano . The disciple was a man that Lucas had never met, and he didn't trust people he had never met. However, Ingrid seemed to believe that Ben Serrano could be trusted and so Lucas had to believe.

"Best show me what you're worth. I don't want to have to carry you through this building"

He licked his teeth,
spitting red blade still in his grasp. His job was to protect the Wolfngard, protect the heart of the Empire and he would do that no matter what. He had a few ideas on how to do that, he just needed to wait and see what everyone else decided to do.

Objective 1: Hold your ground

Julio checked his wrist chrono as he stood in line at the café across the street from the Verkuylian Government Hall getting two expressos; one for him, but more importantly one for his boss who was on a scheduled conference call at her desk when he left.

He was Baroness Sabosen's assistant and had very much enjoyed working with the Chiss noble. Ever since Lady Karisa had taken over the reign of the barony bestowed upon her by the Eternal Emperor, Kainan Wolfe Kainan Wolfe , conditions for his people, the Verkuylians, had greatly improved both economically and socially within the Imperial Nation.

With her restructuring of the poorly run Verkuylian BactaCo upon tenure, the Sabosen was able to streamline production to be more efficient, productive, and profitable, thus making conditions for the citizens better. In fact, liveability was the best they'd ever had on the Dalos Peninsula...

Verkuyl had come a long way from the dark days of when Corilin Quarle Deld had originally founded the VBC on the backs of indentured servants. Today, the company was still nationalized to an extent as most of the Eternal Empire was, but slyly the baroness had slipped in some capitalism so that the workers would be rewarded for their hard work that caused a domino effect for everyone to benefit from. It also helped that there were multiple regional conflicts in the galaxy right now and quality bacta was in high demand along with other medical and humanitarian supplies that a subsidiary of the BactaCo made to help diversify their product line.

It was a win-win situation all around until... an Eternal Truth agent contacted Julio. The contact came after his daughter was brazenly kidnapped and held for ransom - the life of the Chiss, who was marked as a loyalist of the Emperor. The Baroness's assistant was told the girl would be tortured and killed in the worst possible way if he didn't do as they requested. And if Julio alerted anyone, his whole family would receive the same. He had no recourse but to comply, though it was with a heavy heart.

Just as Julio ordered the two drinks, a news bulletin from Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim , the newly appointed Empress Regent, flashed on the flat holoscreen mounted on the wall behind the barista taking his order. He gazed down nervously at the time again swallowing hard to keep the bile in his stomach from coming up right there on the counter as the seconds counted down to the top of the hour, then the Verkuylian closed his eyes feeling tears of anger, shame, and cowardness stinging them.

What have I done?! Please forgive me...

KABOOM

The upper structure of the skyline's distinctive government hall erupted in flame and smoke with bits of debris raining down on the street below as a targeted bomb had gone off in the office of the Baroness of Verkuyl.

Ben didn't blink as he stared back at Lucas Harvey-White . He allowed himself a grim smile, but nothing more, and even that had no real emotions behind it. He just showed that he isn’t afraid, and he doesn’t consider himself a subordinate of the well dressed gentleman. Of course he had no idea how similar he was with the other man, but at the same time they differed in so many levels. Instead, he turned to his master, and gave voice to his thoughts.
“ My lord, I hate to disagree, but since the enemy is within us, I would personally see to the defense of the Library, and the Archives. Because the enemy is from our own lines, they must understand the importance of knowledge and information, as we do. I would not be surprised if they tried to take out that location along with the leaders, so even if they fail on one level, they can succeed on the other. And the library’s defense’s main weakness is if the enemy is already through the defense perimeter. “ He gave reasons along with his concern, so he was confident that he could leave this party, and go on his ways. Ingrid was a woman of reason, he learned that already, and he deeply respected her for that reason. And he expected that Ingrid would see to his need in this regard, as he expected that the redhead liked soldiers who think on their own, and not just mindless drones acting as ordered.

Yet, he awaited the permission to leave. He wouldn’t act against direct orders, and if he is needed here, he will fully commit to the cause, even if he would very much like to leave. He would never argue with his master, at least not while she is the Reagent, and Ben is so much weaker than her. So he was standing there, motion and emotionless, he just had to be ordered. Yet, he wasn’t a mindless drone, just an obedient subordinate. But to be honest, he knew where his heart lied. If he had to choose, that the enemy take out the entire leader chain, or they blow up the library, Ben would attend a grand funeral. He had no respect for politicians, and he had even less respect for military officers who can’t defend themself. Yet, the Library had everything Ben needed to continue his studies, and continue his development. And it was the key to developing other strong and capable force users. It was the key to understand the world, and our past, to help us prepare for our future. It had to be protected at any cost.

Fimrati had managed to kill two of the rebels before more help arrived, and stood there, listening to those present speak in that language they used. 'High Nivsomethingoranother'. For now, since it seemed they were focused on the Empress Reagent, she focused herself on the hallway. Head turning slowly to the left and right. Keep a careful eye on the various ways into this kill zone of a hallway. "Whatever it is you plan to do, Ma'am, best plan fast. I doubt these double agents will wait for long with this team dead on the floor." She said in Basic, only barely glancing behind her towards the trio. All seemed to have lightsabers of some kind, so they were definitely not people she wanted to piss off. At least right now.

Ironic how it was the mercenary who hadn't turned on the appointed government. And this Eternal Truth's biggest fault in failing to turn her, boiled down to two things. Her contract, which was signed to the Logistics Corps Unit 404, which was, as far as Fimrati knew, still loyal. The other was her unwillingness to fail or break a contract without a damned good reason. This meant she would stand by the contract as it was written for the full duration. Which for this one, was until Centrio annulled it. So for now, that meant keeping Ingrid alive.

Echo received his commands from the Empress Regent. "Understood, Empress Regent." Echo confirmed in the voice of a soldier that he heard speaking the other day. Echo watched as the ships drew closer and closer, then he heard the ships from their hangars taking off, moving to engage the enemy. The two forces clashed in the air, creating a bright spectacle as explosions rocked as ships blew up and blaster fire flew everywhere. The enemy dropships continued forward, through the battle between the Eternal Empire fighter and their starfighters. Echo watched as an Eternal Truth starfighter shot down one of the Eternal Empire fighters, and it went down, barreling down towards the base, towards Echo. He could still sense the pilot inside was still alive, and panicking as the ground drew nearer. Echo lunged forward, and his hands caught the fighter. The force of the ship shoved him backwards, but he managed to stay upright. The pilot inside looked relieved at being saved from certain demise. He gave Echo a thumbs up. Echo looked at his own giant hand, then gave a thumbs up. He set the ship down, and support personnel helped the pilot out of the ship, to firstly check him out, and if he was healthy enough to return to the fight then he would head to the hangar.

Echo saw that the enemy dropships were setting down in the Parade Grounds. A good site for deploying troops, as it was wide and open and perfect for landing large amounts of enemies. Echo tapped into the base's intercom system, and he broadcasted a message through the intercom system and through his own speakers.

"Attention, attention. Eternal Truth reinforcements have landed in the Parade Grounds. All non-combat personnel please evacuate the western section of the base." He said. The sirens coming from him were still playing, loud enough to be heard across the entire base. He watched a platoon of loyal troopers running towards the Parade Grounds, to defend the base from the traitors.

Echo scanned over the comm channels, listening to each one.

"Insurrectionists have entered the Barracks! It's a mad house in here! We need reinforcements!"
"Traitors have been spotted in the Residential wing! Send backup!"

"They're going for the reactor! Stop them!"
"We've lost the Halls of the Emperor! There's too many of them!"
"Wardens! Look out! Wardens are with the Eternal Truth!"

"They're breaching the doors! They're in the Spire! Repeat: Eternal Truth is in the Spire! Not everyone is evacuated! They're coming- Gahh!"

Echo was especially concerned by this last one. The Spire of Eternity held a large number of government and military officials. It was the political center of the Eternal Empire. If the Eternal Truth was sending executioners, and not all of the officials had evacuated yet... Oh no. They had to get them out of there. But how? It was hard to tell who was loyal and who wasn't, so if he sent troopers they might just get the job done quicker.

"Attention, attention. Eternal Truth members have entered the Spire. Alert level has been raised to Level Four" He said both over the intercom and his own speakers.

He saw a platoon of soldiers fighting another platoon nearby. He could tell which ones were the traitors, as they had a Warden with them, and the Wardens were known to be partnered with the Truth. Echo rushed forward, giving out a massive roar that shook the buildings. The small skirmish stopped as both sides turned to the loud noise. Then, the insurrectionists turned their fire on Echo, trying to stop the massive droid rushing their way. The blaster bolts pinged and bounced off of Echo, his outer armor shell was thick and strong enough to repel small arms fire. He pounced on them, swiping through them. He swatted a couple aside with his giant hand, then he stepped on another. He picked up two of them and threw them at their counterparts, creating large swaths of blood that exploded out as the traitors he threw turned into jelly by the force of his throw. He then clapped his hands together on a group of them, pasting them together, instantly killing them. The rest of them tried to run, including the Warden. Echo grabbed a piece of debris and threw it at them, catching at least four of them and turning them into puddles of blood and goo. The Warden and two other insurrectionists managed to escape, but the rest were now only puddles on the ground.

He could hear the cheers from the loyal soldiers. Echo walked back to them. He saw an injured insurrectionist crawling on the ground, trying to reach his blaster. Echo walked over to him. The insurrectionist heard the large footsteps and turned around, horrified by the large, black creature covered in the blood of his comrades.

"Okay, okay, wait! I surrender!" The Rebel said, giving himself up.

Echo walked tilted his head. "There is no need to take prisoners!" He said in the voice of the Empress Regent. A look of horror stretched across the Rebel's face, and then Echo crushed him under his foot.

Echo walked over to the loyal platoon. "Thanks, I wasn't sure if we were gonna live through that one." The Lieutenant leading the platoon said.

Echo nodded. "You are welcome." He said, then, a large explosion came from the Parade Grounds. He turned to it. "Come with me, we must take the parade grounds if we are to continue the evacuation." He told them.

The Lieutenant nodded. "Roger that. You heard the droid, soldiers! Let's move out!" He yelled to his platoon. They all nodded and affirmed their assent. Echo started walking towards the Parade Grounds, with the platoon in tow.

He sent another message to the Empress Regent.

I recommend you attempt to activate the base shield. I believe that the Eternal Truth has taken control of the Engineering section. Activating the base shield will allow us to halt their offensive.

He broadcasted that to her, then continued walking towards the Parade Grounds.

<”You'll buy another suit instead of this, Mr. White! This is war, for a reason not usually fought in a suit. That's all it takes to end the war.”>

Exceptionally, Ingrid really appreciated that the man hadn’t tried to flatter, at least that’s what he had learned last time. Now, as always, she spoke coldly, militarily. Then tried to pay attention to the others, though she would have focused on the approaching fight. Ben and the twi’lek woman also responded. Ben spoke back in High Nelvaniaan, but it also immediately became clear that the other woman, on the other hand, did not understand their language.

She just sighed at Ben's words, there was no reaction outside, and nothing could be felt from the woman through the Force. As if she heard AMCO AMCO , it was her lover who would have reacted exactly that way in this situation. Nevertheless, the Red Library was a pretty sheltered place, with the Wolfguards, not to mention that there could be a pretty rough fight there now if that place was also attacked, especially if the Wardens went there as well. In any case, she already knew her disciple so much that now nothing else would interest him but this. And the young man was not mistaken in that Ingrid really appreciated it when someone could think independently.

<”Go, you can get to the hangars through the secret passage of the room behind us. From here, as the crow flies, the Library is about 100km away. By taking a faster vehicle, you can be there in a quarter of an hour or twenty minutes. I'm constantly asking for a report!”>

Ingrid didn't offer the others to go with her disciple, though the twi’lek woman looked like a soldier, but White was a Sith, she wouldn't let him into the Library even in a situation like that. Maybe if he proves here tonight while fighting, then. Then maybe the tracker can get off of him, and he can move more freely. After that, she turned to the woman.

”We need to keep the city and protect the leaders who are here. We must first get to the control room to assess the situation within Wulfngard. It’s not far, we just have to cross a few corridors, right in the direction of the fights. If we are there we will be smarter. Departures!”

She gave the order as she started forward. In addition to the control room, her office was also there, she could even get her weapons back. Meanwhile, she could hear Echo's voice from outside. They had to act quickly. Especially as the sequel could be heard. It was time for the rebels to be unpleasantly surprised. Since Ingrid regained the Emperor's trust, she has also worked on building a secondary army at House L’lerim and the Imperial House. If human force might not be available somewhere, the Rocksolid Arms also made large batches of droids for the Eternal Empire. She sent only one acknowledgement for Echo's words, she just didn't have time to answer the droid normally.

”The Wolfguards immediately into the Spire! A striking team with engineers try to get to the shields and activate the lower ones! One more order! All Infinite Droids on the base must be activated, now!” she said through the comm. channel.

A dozen rebel Ultranauts then turned into the hallway where the company was. At this moment ten thousand Infinites war droid woke up in the city and went into battle…

Tubrok was still on the bridge while his father-in-law controlled the ship itself. The flagship of the House L’lerim. True, it wasn’t the SSD, just a simple Star Destroyer, but it still made it a great ship. The flagship of the Empire was still searching for the Emperor and the Empress at the point where they had disappeared and around it. He managed to pull that ship out of the fight very well and by the time he gets to a space where there is a fight, they may already be late.

The man watched the events as they had an incoming call. He put the call on the viewscreen. The admiral who had contacted him was unfamiliar to the man, but he saw enemy ships open fire on the admiral's ship as well. And that was pretty much telling at the moment. So the man didn't even have to prove they were on one side. Exceptionally, this was quite obvious.

<”Here is Lord Tubrok Ragal, thank you for your support, Admiral Tolsen. Primarily, you attack the weapon systems if that can be solved. We need to prevent the surface from being bombarded and damaging industrial areas or defense systems.”>

According to the scanners, these were attacked and not the residential areas. Fortunately, they did not seem so desperate to attack their own people. The ship's weapon system targeted and started firing at the weapons of the nearest rebel ship, and the fighters began to engage in battle with enemy fighters.

”Believe me, my Love, I don't like this situation either, I really don't. They hunt everyone. If I only did with the Loyalists, I would say to do so, we will have so fewer opponents. But not only they… but we are as well.”

The man agreed with the girl. He sighed in trouble and rubbed his eyes. He turned his head to the side to look at Lori, thinking about what she had said. In the end, he shook his head in trouble. He made no secret of the fact that he would have been happy if Lori had said it, but Curtis saw things darker than that.

”I don't think they would ask for help. This is a coup that started because the Emperor’s path is considered inappropriate. If they ask us for help, they will only confirm this view, my Love. I think they have to solve it alone. This is not the case as Bursoll was… however…”

Here he thought for a few seconds what could be done. Something that suits the rebels and Lori at the same time, not to mention that maybe it could give her a chance to “escape,” that is, rather go back to the loyalists. He felt that with what he was doing now, he was not doing much for House L’lerim, or the Eternal Empire.

”What if we preferred to help without asking? I know you don't like sitting here, my Love. They say in the news that they will attack anyone who is loyal to the Emperor. And the Lanteeb voluntarily joined the Eternal Empire…”

Civil war was never a good thing. Innocents tended to get stuck in the crosshairs. And as always, each side would blame the other for their deaths.

"Okay fine...We'll let them settle this on their own. They'd probably think that asking for our help is too far beneath them anyways." It surely wasn't easy to guess who would stoop low enough to ask for the Rebels for help.

As Elaena Kessia Miran Elaena Kessia Miran mentioned Lanteeb, Lori's face pailed slightly. "Lanteeb...they'd go right for the Empress' family, wouldn't they? Much like the Empire has gone after mine. You don't think that they'd slaughter them, would they?"

The man grinned when Lori finally surrendered that she wasn't trying to help them then. That is, they don’t expect this to happen because they may not. He shook his head at the end. True, Kessia knew that House L’lerim was indeed a proud warrior. They really wouldn't ask for help. But not because someone is considered inferior.

”Maybe, but we can't know. We know what Tacitus is like. But do we know anything about L’lerim? Apart from being a public figure in recent years, nothing can be known about her. Hopefully things will change from what they used to be. Hopefully in the right direction.”

He watched her curiously as he reacted to Lanteeb's mention. Quite strangely, he couldn't really interpret that now. In addition to worrying about the population. He frowned at the mention of the Empress.

”Which Empress do you mean? The Regent or the real one? Honestly, my love? Based on what we’ve seen from the Eternal Truth so far, yes, I think they would be able to slaughter Lanteeb’s entire nobility.”

In fact, it wasn’t just Curtis, but Kessia’s opinion of the situation. He thought for a moment.

"Is there anyone we can notify to help us?” he asked.

Lori shrugged her shoulders. She had no real knowledge of Ingrid L'lerim Ingrid L'lerim at all, only knowing her to be cunning and not without plenty of resources. "I don't know how things will go. I just have a bad feeling..." A feeling that she hadn't been able to shake since Elaena Kessia Miran Elaena Kessia Miran had first arrived. It hung around her like a dark shadow that she couldn't get rid of.

"The real Empress, Curtis. I don't think she's as evil as the others are. But that's just a guess. I saw her once, when I was being questioned by a Chiss on one of their Destroyers. She was just made to watch. I don't think that she deserves to have her family killed, regardless of who she married."

To his question on who they could reach out to to help, Lori nodded quickly. "I'm sure that I could put a call out. There's bound to be some Rebels nearby that can help."
