Intent: To provide HK-36 with an upgraded body intended for close combat, especially against the Force Users.
Development Thread: What a Piece of Junk! (HK received blueprints he used to design the new body for optimized agility and speed.)
Droid Extreme Makover (HK discussed with @Cira construction of his new body, going over all the details and metarials used to make it. She agreed to help him, using the money he would collect for Omega Pyre from battles and bounties, as well as his own pension, to cover the making of the new body.)
Old Scars: The Rescue (On page 3, post 44, Cira green lighted for HK to receive his new body, after he brought in RC, leader of the Deathwatch pirates, for bounty, his debt was considered paid in full.)

Manufacturer: Omega Pyre
Model: HK-36-CC (Close Combat)
Affiliation: Omega Pyre
Modularity: Only additional armor attachment, which will come later.
Production: Unique
Material: Cortosis Mesh Covered in Bronzium
Description: HK was always focused on close combat, especially with lightsabers and against Force users. He understood that his lack of connection to the Force put him at a great disadvantage, to overcome that he decided that he simply needs to be faster and stronger than Jedi, utilizing the abilities and powers of a droid body rather than the Force.

HK's old body has been modified to fit such needs, however, it was not at the full peak potential of what it could have been, simply because it was converted and modified to fit those needs, not designed from the beginning for them. The new body upgrade HK started to plan since his recovery on Tatooine and then being hired by Omega Pyre was supposed to fix that. He worked long and hard to have such a body made, first he designed it, trading his old blueprints with Jak Sandrow for blueprints of General Grievous and his Magnaguards, using the two mechanical vessels, which excelled at combating Jedi, to design his new body. He then asked Lady Protector of the Omega Pyre herself to help him, he needed powerful friends if he wanted his body to be made. She agreed, for a price of course, HK's skills and services for the Omega Pyre until his debt was paid. He finally achieved that, after long hunts for the members of Deathwatch wich climaxed in the droid capturing their leader, RC, Lady Protector green lighted the body's construction, considering the droid has done enough to prove himself.

The upgraded body was much more sleek in design than previous one, head was not as large, enabling the droid to be able to wear masks and helmets now, it really looked like a mix between the body of General Grievous and thinner, sleeker HK model. The body was not as skeleton looking as Grievous's, metal filled the gaps he had on his limbs to provide protection, HK's body was also smaller than Grievous's to even it out in terms of weight so the speed and agility would not be compromised. The sharp features and glowing red eyes of the droid were kept similar if not the same, of course, he was still an HK droid, just much more upgraded and sleek to provide better maneuverability and agility in close combat. The new body was completely made of cortosis mesh covered in bronzium, this intended to be a nightmare to any lightsaber users that he would fight, should they be able to hit his body, they would find out about its properties to resist lightsaber blade, even to shut it off with just a touch. As with previous body, HK's new body was much faster and stronger than any organic body, able to overwhelm Jedi defenses with just pure innate physical abilities. HK had also cutting-edge HUD with tracking and motion detecting capabilities, requested by the droid as he was trained by the Omega Pyre to predict his opponent's attacks by observing their movements and calculating what will come next, watching their muscle movements and footing. The body contained minimal build-in weaponry, only emergency systems, wrist blaster and wrist blade, providing an edge in case the droid is captured but not restricting the movement otherwise. Instead, the body's design focused on maximizing speed, agility, and brute, raw strength, letting HK utilize it in close combat. Another important feature of the design were the legs and joints on the body. Legs of the droid had two settings, one were normal humanoid legs, straight and with feet that looked like boots, however, the could have been set to "combat mode" the plates of the droid transforming to take the shape of Grievous's legs, with magnetic claws extending from the boot-like feet. This setting enabled the claws to be used as weapons or hands, provided further augmentation to speed and jumping, as well allowed the droid to climb using the claws or to dig himself in. The major joints of the droid, wrists, neck, waist, ankles, and elbows, were equipped with high speed rotary motors, allowing the droid to spin his hands, feet, and even whole torso at incredible speed in just manner of split seconds, turning him into a walking buzzsaw, technique he already used in previous body to deadly extend to overwhelm the defenses of his opponents.

There were some drawbacks to the body, however, foremost being the susceptibility to EMP and electric shocks all droids were vulnerably against. HK usually solved that issue with wearing a suit of armor over his normal body and a layer of isolation in between. However, the armor could not protect him fully due to the rotating joints, they were both a blessing and a curse of the body. Due to their nature, they could not have been covered by any additional armored plates, therefore, they were the most susceptible points of the body, able to take damage to much lesser extend than any other spot on the body. Fortunately, they were small targets, and although it was unlikely to hit them, it was not impossible. HK's combat style and dodging abilities were all based on maintaining visual contact with the target, therefore, should that contact be broken HK's chances to dodge an attack or hit anything would be much smaller, making attacks against him from behind be most likely to succeed. As opposed to General Grievous on whom the body was based on, HK did not had four arms.
