PRIME JEDI CONCLAVE

Jedi training Dojo
Temple of Ahch-to

~~ Open to Jedi ~~

The green blade hummed as the Jedi Master went through her exercises, running through the old forms and leaving a soft green mist behind it as it moved through the air. Yennic was in the newly refurbished main training Dojo of the rebuilt temple. It was a circular room with one side of it surrounded by wide archways that opened up high above the rolling ocean. The temple, rebuilt and reopened as the home of the Prime Jedi Conclave, was slowly filling up with jedi students from across the galaxy. They came seeking to hear the teachings of the Prime Jedi and to emulate his route to becoming one with the force. Yennic liked it here, being this far from the more turbulent core of the galaxy allowed her to hear even the quietest whispers of the force.

It was dark in here, not so dark that Yennic's company could not see, but enough to render the zelosian entirely blind save for the brief glimpses from the light of her saber and the occasional flashes from a lightning storm that marched along the horizon. She relied on her other senses to interact with the various people in the room, being able to see them in the force as clearly as she needed.

”As you practice your moves, think of your place in the galaxy around you and the ripples that are caused by your every action.” she brought her saber down in a wide arc and then twisted to strike behind her. The patterns were not simply about the best ways to utilise the blade to kill, but to focus the mind and allow clarity in the force. She thought of the different times she herself had raised her blade and the repercussions, both immediate and secondary, that it had caused. Her saber hissed around her quickly and rhythmically in time with her breathing as she perceived the other Jedi in the room going about their own pattern until her blade made one last sweep and thrust out into the darkness of the ocean beyond.

Master Zhan turned and walked around the room to speak to the other Jedi present ”When you swing your blade, what do you feel?” she asked the nearest Jedi. The ways of the Prime Jedi emphasised balance and harmony, this was how they lived their lives and it gave them a great deal of strength.

Asonia was in the Dojo, she held her emerald saber and followed the instruction Yennic Zhan who told her to feel her place in the galaxy. The Togruta Padawan had trouble with these exercisez, chiefly due to the fact that the Order she had served in before had treated her as pariah. The loss of two masters to events beyond her control attached a stigma she could not rub off. Even as Hero of Shili, she could not find a place in the Order, so she sought another.

Prime Jedi Conclave had a mission close to her heart, to bring life not just the saber to the galaxy, to restore what the dark side had tried fo destroy. To be a beacon of the Living Force!

It was meditating on these maxims that she felt it, the ripples with each stroke of her blade, her place as a gardener sowing life in a decaying vacuum.

I am a planter.. I will grow where others have sown death.”

These words rose from her lios as she moved with her eyes closed. The emerald saber acting as a spade as she gave herself to this state, and made motions without thinking.

For the first time Asonia started to feel attuned, hee restless thoughts giving away to the sweeps and motions of her body as she followed the flow of a Wind not visible but felt by all Jedi.

I feel a great Wind, and my Saber a plowshear..”

She was lost in this scene The Force was revealing. She hoped it meant at last she had a place in The Great Mystery.

"We're reporting to you live from Coruscant..."

Vilka flicked off the holonews. Romi Jade Romi Jade 's trial wasn't exactly something you wanted to watch while sitting lightyears away. It did trouble her that there wasn't much that could be done. That law and politics should run their course and to allow the Force to do the rest.

The circular office she occupied that formed part of the newly built and expanded wing within the Temple, wasn't large, but the light that drifted in from the windows that made up the majority of the chamber's walls, exuded a sense of calm.

The Jedi Master got to her feet and glided toward the balcony, allowing the smell and sound of the ocean to bring peace to her heart and mind. She breathed deeply, feeling the tranquility settle.
"The Force will guide." she exhaled softly.

Her sky-blue gaze drifted toward the new dojo within the wing. Her old Padawan would be teaching. It still made her heart soar to see the Master Yennic had become, embodying the principles of a Jedi well. In a Galaxy of turmoil, such successes are rare.

Vilka turned and headed toward the steps leading from the balcony. She should go and see how things were developing. A new student had joined their ranks recently.

Reaching the dojo, the Seer remained in the back, watching and listening. Yennic's question was answered by a young Togruta who held a promising presence in the Force.
I am a planter.. I will grow where others have sown death.”

Vilka quietly thanked the Ashla that there were still individuals in the Galaxy that knew their place that well and exuded that kind of peace and drive. She watched the young woman move through the paces. She saw enlightenment change the way the girl moved. Her eyes found Yennic's and she gave a nod of approval. This was how they would heal and bring peace to the Galaxy - with the younger generation.

"Where does the Wind want you to plow, young Padawan?" she asked Asonia, moving around the room slowly.

Peace and Tranquility...

Such things were alien to the Light Side of the Force in recent decades. An untold amount of conflict had driven the jedi to become warriors once again instead of peacekeepers as they were naturally bound to be. The Second Great Hyperspace War had rocked the very foundation of the current galaxy and affected the force quite considerably that it was becoming hard to see when once it had been crystal clear. The Dark Side of the Force was growing once again after having been defeated over Exegol by the Galactic Alliance and another terrible war was arising with the Mandalorian Clans.

A terrible conflict it would be..but such a conflict did not yet ravage the world of Arch-To for the moment being safe and secure in the hands of the Prime Jedi Enclave. The 460 Year Old Jedi glanced from one of the high windows of the temple, acknowledging that long lasting peace could never be achieved in the galaxy no matter how much one fought or how much they were willing to sacrifice. Such thoughts had become weary to the old yoda species as they moved at a slow pace through the temple interior to reach the dojo where quite a gathering was taking place. Small the Enclave's size was but formidable they could be if called into service.

He moved almost silently into the room, given his rather small size. Wanting to listen and learn as knowledge was the ultimate tool in one's arsenal

Asonia moved in this trance state and heard a voice, they asksd where did this Wind she felt want her to plow!? The Togeuta Padawan saw a visipn of a dark world qhich she related aloud,
I see a ashen world.. full pf darkness and yet rich in soil.. it beats, like a heart.. it is calling to be..”

Her eyes opened,

..saved.

She turned to Master Vilka Keldra Vilka Keldra who had been circling her. The Padawan trembled a little, lowering her saber as it hummed.

It was a world so dark.. it frightens me..

She had related to The Prims Jedi Masters her encounter with a Sith Lord on Shili and how it had nearly cost her everything. When she spoke of darkness, it was not from a lecturer who spoke from texts, no, she saw his face, those burning orange eyes and his lit blood blade.

Asonia.. Asonia!

She raised her tip of her emerald saber, her big eyes shifting to looking at The Phantom.

Stay back! Leave me be!

To those watching she would appear to be having a episode, questioning her mental state would not be unreasonable, but for Asonia the image of Darth Tentaus was not a memory or echo, he was alive and somewhere using his mad science to do harm like he had on her home world. If she was to one day ascend to knighthood, she was destined to face this Darkness, to confront the Dark Lord once more. For now she tried to control her fear. Already she felt as if she was failing, to be captive to terror was not becoming of a Jedi and so she deactivated her blade, panting as her heart was accelerating from adrenaline rush from seeing her enemy.

Forgive me Masters..”

She bowed her head, her lekku dtapping down like tails.

Marnie wasn't exactly sure why she was here. As a member of the Jedi Service Corps many of the other Jedi thought she was a wash out. Most of them got selected as padawans, but Marnies master had died in battle and no other master had decided to take her on. Her talents were a bit odd for a normal Jedi. She didn't show great aptitude with the saber, though truthfully she wasn't sure anybody had ever given her much of a chance. What she was good at was archeology. She often scouted other Jedi to bring to New Jedi Order, but was that enough? Was there a different place for her? She wasn't sure.

She felt a little restless watching the training exercise. Truthfully she was claustrophobic and that was why she preferred being outdoors. Her eyes sought the large windows where there was a view of the sea. It was calm and gave the illusion of an open space. She felt her shoulders relax and realized she had been tensed up.

Yennic listened to the voices in the room, she watched as something dark seemed to trouble Asonia Tsavio and she sensed the clouds around her. She focused her own calming self onto the woman to hopefully aid her. "Why should we need to forgive you Padawan? be mindful of your thoughts, but do not feel shame for them. A dagger turned inwards can only hurt one person." she breathed calmly and spoke kindly, it was important not to allow your own fears and doubts to fold in on yourself. <<I feel like this one may need guidance in the future>> she spoke telepathically to her own master as she continued around the room.

She looked at the others, nodding gently to the venerable smaller creature, he had not drawn his blade, but the point of this gathering was meditation, blade kata was just a means to that end. Noticing a younger woman, a service jedi looking wistfully out of the window deep in contemplation, Yennic approached her. It was well known about the Conclave that Yennic had a deep fascination in history and archaeology, it had been this calling that had been partially responsible for leading her and Vilka Keldra Vilka Keldra here.

"The view is lovely from under the arches and there is plenty of room to train before the precipice becomes a concern." she smiled, offering words of encouragement to the learner. She couldn't read her mind, but as a person who found great solace in the elements and loved the rain and wind on her face, she would recommend it to anyone.

I'LL BE THERE

Humility.

That was a new lesson that Ceri was being taught by her Master. But Starlin's ways of teaching differed so much from other Masters. Instead of teaching it to her himself, he decided to send her to one of the Maw-ravaged worlds where it was rumoured that some of Starlin's old associates had begun restoring the Jedi way of life.

But the place sounded somewhat backwater.

She had said as much to her Master and he was just like "Girl, that's why you're going, innit?" So he had dumped her on Ahch-To with only an instruction to listen to the Jedi Masters here.

She tried her best.

She had trudged her way to the new dojo that formed part of a newly built wing. Inside, she was glad to not be the only Padawan in the room - she'd at least be able to make some friends while being here. That might help to get her mind off what had happened on Yag'Dhul.

Her blue blade hummed through the motions that the Master Zhan took them through. She tried focusing on the words the Master spoke as she did so. Tried to see. What was her place in the Galaxy? What ripples did her actions cause? Had she made matters worse by raising a blade against that Mandalorian? Could the whole conflict been avoided if Jedi had acted differently or was it inevitable? Could she still change it?

As she swung her blade through the much more peaceful motions than the one her Master had taught her, she could still not entirely feel the difference. As the Togruta Padawan spoke to the Masters - her vision much clearer than Ceri's, the young Chandrillan caught sight of another, smaller Master as he entered the dojo.

She straightened up from the movements she had been going through, disengaging her blade, and headed over to him. She remembers the accounts of the old Master Yoda that she had read through during her studies and this Master looked like he came from the same species.

"Master, could you tell me - is there any way a lightsaber can be used for good and not violence?" she asked Rad'Nav Erakot sincerely, brown eyes pleading with him.

A single glance around the room was all that was needed to confirm that the colors of the force could change rapidly and without warning. The Force itself was often declared to be an uncaring deity and following a mysterious path, for when the light side of the force was strong, it raised dark sided warriors to challenge it in the shadows. And the reverse happen when the dark side was supreme in galactic affairs. It could be said that the Ancient Jedi created the Sith when they were unwilling to accept new ideas, banishing those that resisted and creating terrible wars to follow.

These lessons were a warning to the Jedi of the current age; new knowledge could be accepted given proper safeguards for practical application. Although the Jedi Liberian understood that such ideas could be considered unthinkable to the New Jedi Order but perhaps more accepting among the members of the Prime Jedi Enclave.

Moment caught the eye of the master, as Ceri Fraissi approached to learn knowledge. Asked a question she did for which there was no easy answer. A Lightsaber was a tool; it could be used for evil or good depending on the person wielding the tool. But one should know that a lightsaber should be the last resort in dealing with a situation.

"Many things you were taught yes..about lightsabers. Terrible weapons they can be in hands of those untrained. But a lightsaber is merely an extension of one's self, the person wielding the weapon can often determine what is 'good' or 'violent'." Although the message was kind of cryptic the meaning was that it was the person itself responsible for where the lightsaber was swung and what deeds they committed using it.
"Should you choose to go down the path of good, then the weapon can be used for practical applications. The heat of a lightsaber can cauterize a wound as you know..saving lives you could by entering the field of medicine."

"The view is lovely from under the arches and there is plenty of room to train before the precipice becomes a concern."

Marnie turned and saw Yennic Zhan speaking about the view. She nodded and let her gaze drift back out the window. It certainly was beautiful. The Kiffu woman wasn’t sure what to say to the master speaking to her. Usually service Jedi weren’t invited on a lot of mystical training, and in fact she wasn’t even certain if she should join in. But this felt different somehow than the main Jedi in the galaxy. Sure the Jedi had never intentionally made her feel lesser and there was no one she could point out as looking down upon her. It was more just the way things were. The service corps was where those who wouldn’t cut it as a padawan went. Now that her master was gone would she be sent back there? He had been the only one interested in her after all.

“This conclave seems … different. I sense… “

She trailed off. Her job as a Jedi seeker was to find force sensitive talent and drop them off, not have mystical discussions about her very meager Force powers.

“I often bring people in to train. I wanted to see if such services were needed here.”

Asonai tilted her head which was etched with worry as she responded to Master Yennic Zhan Shan,
I apologize because the dark side has manifested here because of my fear..”

She took her lightsaber hilt and placed it on a pearl colored rack on the wall, she turned to see several new arrivals, one a short and yellow creature with pointy ears, another a Lady closer to her age with brunette hair, and Youngling girl with teal hair. Seeing so many hopefuls, she decided the next course of action was wise, she headed for the door of the dojo.

She would not be a vessel in her trauma to let a Sith Lord taint this hollowed place, nor bring torment to these new arrivals. For their sake, she must be cut off. She went outside to standing on a great rock edge overlooking the ocean, tears rolling down her painted skin of orange and white. All she had wanted to be was a good Jedi, and with one mission to her homeworld she had become a threat to all disciples of Ashla. As she stood there watching the waves lap around Ach-To, some Porgs came beside her and cooed. She looked at those cute white and brown furr balls with big black eyes. They were a reminder that tenderness still existed in the galaxy.

I see a ashen world.. full pf darkness and yet rich in soil.. it beats, like a heart.. it is calling to be...saved.
Vilka listened to the young woman intently. It became clear early on that something Dark was following this Padawan. As she followed the teaching of Yennic and Vilka's prompting, the Seer intently felt the manifestation of the Dark Side within the dojo.
<<I feel like this one may need guidance in the future>>
<Indeed she will.> the Sephi replied telepathically before moving onto the floor. <Go. Tend to the rest, I'll take it from here.>

Another, more combat-attuned Jedi would have reacted rashly to the young woman manifesting Darkness on sacred ground. But Vilka had seen what fear and rashness had done to the Galaxy many times over. She was neither wary of Darkness nor feared it anymore. As Asonia apologised and moved to leave out of fear, the Consular Master moved like a thought. A soft Light emanated from her, dispelling the remnant strands of Darkness, as she moved.

She let the Togruta have a moment outside before joining her on the precipice, golden hair blowing idly in the sea-breeze.
"Manifesting Darkness isn't against the Code, Padawan Tsavio." Vilka said calmly after a while, still overlooking the ocean. "It is what you do with it, that matters." She turned her sky-blue gaze at Asonia. "I can teach you how to both face that which calls to you and to heal it and the land it resides on. If you'd let me. Our purpose as Children of Ashla should not be to violently strike down those that oppose us, but to seek balance, healing and peace."

She reached down to tickle a porg's belly. "You have much healing within you, Young One." she said, straightening up. "How you can achieve balance and peace to accompany it, can be shown to you, but you're first step would be to not run from your fear, but to stand firm. The Darkness that follows you cannot linger here long for many reasons that can be at your disposal as well if you are open to it." she said, giving the young woman a soft smile. "Think on it and join us inside when you're ready."

She then turned to head back inside.

The Togruta Padawan starred at the sea, when felt something approaching, a presence of dazzling Light. Master Vilka Keldra Vilka Keldra had come and offered hope. Asonia had been so long without hope, that she could healed and break the hold of fear.

She was relievied that her moment of weakness, of letting the Darkness manifest did not violate the rules of this Conclave.

You can teach me to face this Shadow? To break its torment?

When Master Keldra mentioned the aim was not to strike down, to seek revenge, she was at ease, she did not want to destroy the Sith Lord, only to be free of his tendrils, his mindcraft, to as she said, be healed.

The words of The Lady in Light gave the Padawan a renewed resolve, if she could see healing in her, and a path forward, then Ansonia could have confidence.

Yes Master, I must face it not shirk from it. Though I will need your guidence to learn to calm the fear within, to become serene. I feel as if my training begins anew.

Master Keldra was heading inside and Asonia followed. What had been missing in her instruction was faith, she had been abandoned in her former order. Now here, with a new sleight, she would endeavor to rise above her past and learn from The Lady in Light, and Master Yennic Zhan, and her peers who were all engaged in training. The Togruta Jedi held our her hand and call her saber back to her and looked at the hilt a moment. A new blade, the green of life, to symbolize her rebirth. She then took her position back among the others. This was a new family, each had come from some place, experianced hardships and suffering, but all of them chose to feed the Light, to carry oil in lamps and let them burn brightly in a dark galaxy. To give hope, yes hope that there was still some souls who would choose the Light, and fight for the right, even if victory wasn’t a peaceful galaxy, but to simply show not all was barren rock, bone, and Bogan. The victory would be being the lamp, not turning the galaxy bright.

“I often bring people in to train. I wanted to see if such services were needed here.”

"Perhaps... it is an important role, seeking out the unguided and helping steer them towards the light.

Is that what you wish?"

Yennic asked, placing her hands behind her back as she stared out to sea. "I am curious what you sense about the conclave, we are different to many Jedi groups, but also share a great deal with them. There is a level of peace here that is... soothing." the Zelosian took in a breath and turned towards Marnie Sango . She placed her hands out infront of her and gestured for the other woman to mirror her in the gentle martial arts moves. It was a pattern she had studied during a brief foray into rim and she found it good for encouraging clear thought. She made a slight noise of exersion as she ran through the moves.

"Seeker's train with padawans, at least initially, correct?" she enquired. "Were there aspects of this training that you found came to you more freely?" Many Jedi were expected to be warriors, it was unnecessary here and they did not seek power. The only thing that the Prime Enclave asked was a willingness to open their mind to the force and a keeness to listen to the teachings of the Prime Jedi. Yennic was curious too whether the force intended this woman to be her padawan, like she was to Vilka before.

Yennic looked at Marnie again and briefly caught a glimpse of her physical appearance as the light from the storm brought just enough illumination to overcome her night blindness. It was hard to read a person in the brief seconds that the storm granted but she was fascinated by this member.

As she finished her pattern she turned back to the room to watch what the rest of the conclave were doing, observing their forms through force sight. She smiled.

Marnie followed the other Jedi's movements, guiding herself through the martial arts. It was indeed a peaceful way to train, and the Jedi was right that seekers did train with the padawans they brought in. The question about the enclave intrigued her and she stopped to consider it for a moment.

"I sense.... a resting peace..... a .... a distance.... from the wars.... the hope for a brighter future."

It washed over her quickly and she smiled.

"Thank you for welcoming me."

She bowed respectfully and slid towards the back of the room. The young woman needed a moment alone to contemplate things and watch the training. She might have to return to her duties as a seeker soon but she was glad she had found this group and would certainly be back.
