New Friends Aren't So Bad...

Location: Jedi Temple, Jedi Library
Planet: Tython
Time: 1930 hrs

They say new friends can be a good thing....

She had heard about [member="Darron Wraith"] before, especially after his episode on Coruscant where he brought the entire Jedi Temple down in an attempt to subdue the Sith incursion. Although the attempt failed in the long run, it was an impressive display of Force power as a whole. She quietly looked over the profile of the Jedi Master before she skipped back to her own profile and sighed heavily. Alot of her record was incomplete due to the various holes in the Galactic Timeline itself. The four hundred year darkness didn't help things any and neither did the Gulag plague, she had always wondered what the Jedi Order had made of her when she disappeared shortly before the Yuuzhan Vong invasion.

There was a rumor of a datacron that spoke of the events shortly prior to the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, she had hoped to get some information about it's location and seek it out. Hopefully within the datacron she would be able to discover if the Jedi Order had classified her as the first victim or someone who abandoned the Order in a time of need. She merely shrugged off the notion of desertion, looking to help the Jedi Order fill in what blanks she could from her own perspective during her years before the whole incident at the edge of the Unknown Regions.

It truly was a daunting task but in her life, she never knew peace and was always restless or atleast it seemed so...

"Master Wraith, all the Holocrons you brought with you have been secured in the vault." Darron nodded as he was followed closely by his team of assistants for the Tython Academy. "We also have upped the security measures, and the planet's defenses are on full alert. If the One Sith so much as think about going into hyperspace to head our way evacuation procedures will start." Darron again nodded as he was flanked through the halls of the library. Many datapads were being copied and stored, what wasn't fully replaceable had been copied and stored on escape ships already. Charges had been set within the Tython temple, but they would only activate under his or [member="Kiskla Grayson"]'s command. It was a necessary thing that had to be done to ensure that no knowledge fell into the Sith's hands, if they could take Coruscant, there was no telling what they could do.

"Just make sure that all Younglings, Padawans, and our vaults get precedent. Knights and Masters will safeguard everyone else of the world and defend until we have to retreat if the Republic can't get here in time." The punching of touch prompts on datapads and their affirmative nods were all he needed to know they understood his orders. Now the Guardian of Tython and the head of the Temple there, the Former GrandMaster motioned for them all to go about their regular duties. In his down time from training himself, apprentices, and overseeing Tython's affairs he was trying to acquaint himself with Jedi he had never met before. In these trying times he needed to know who could be an asset and who could be trusted to handled the more dangerous affairs of the Order in these war times. That was what led him to one name that had a surprisingly thin entry in the Order's database.

[member="Aaralyn Rekali"], and she was here in the library.

The black robe he was wearing covered his large, powerful frame as he made way. The picture in the database matched the face he saw looking through records, and he could feel the Jedi Master's power in the Force. Coming close to her, he bowed slightly before pushing his long, blonde locks out of his face. Grabbing the nearest seat, he pushed his robes back to reveal his black trousers and boots before seating himself. Taking the sight of her in for a moment, he quickly stuck out his massive gloved hand and smiled. The electro-nerves would feel the sensation, but it would be durasteel her hand would touch. Albeit, durasteel covered in leather. "Greetings Master Rekali, my name is Darron Wraith. I've not heard much about you, and that's why I'm here to see you."

Aaralyn shifted in her own seat and chuckled softly, taking his hand within her own and shaking it firmly. "A pleasure to finally meet you Master Wraith. Your reputation proceeds you." She figured he hadn't heard much about her, who had? She gave him a soft nod as she folded up a few items infront of her and gently placed them in the satchel. She quickly snatched up her datapad and motioned. "Shall we take a walk then? You're more than welcome to ask me anything you'd like to know?"

Of course, knowledge could be dangerous for those who didn't know how to handle the specific information they were given. For [member="Darron Wraith"] though, the brimming curiosity of the woman before him was something that was quite hard for her to gauge. It could be suspicion, it could be just wanting to know who she was and where she came from. Of course, the latter of the two was something she had gotten alot, regardless of whom she had encountered. She quietly moved her seat back into it's place and began walking past the various terminals, of course she expected him to jump up and follow. He had wanted to know more about her, didn't he?

[member="Aaralyn Rekali"] shook his hand, and Darron made sure to not give too firm a shake. "Well, I'm not sure what type of reputation I have." He had heard the whispers about his ability to fight, and how he was fearless. True to form, Wraith didn't care one bit. He knew his duty, who he was, and what he had to do to accomplish that. "I'd love to Master Rekali, lead the way please. Tython is full of mysteries and I'd love to see what course you chart for us on this stroll." Standing up, he let his long cloak fall around him. A friendly smile crossed his face as a he saw a group of Padawans bow towards him and Aaralyn. Wraith returned the gesture before following the other master out of the library and down the hall to exit the temple.

They were moving, and with it the stones and durasteel around them transitioned to nature. "So, why is your file so thin? I know a Jedi out of time when I see one." Serenity fell over his face as he looked to his fellow Master. "I myself was frozen for two decades, so what's your story.?"

"Eight hundred years..." She laughed softly. "Almost the entire lifespan of Master Yoda." She nodded softly as she walked beside him. Aaralyn motioned with a black gloved hand. "I was considered to be the first victim of the onslaught of the Yuuzhan Vong war...or atleast I'm gathering that." She waved her finger as they moved down the walkway towards the Grand Temple entrance. "That wasn't the case. The reality was we had finished up at the Bastion Accords and we're making a run to Taloraan, well a small station near there." She gently touched her chest as they made their way outside, she could feel the warmth of the fading sun hit her face, a soft glow emanating from underneath her tunic. "The crystal, when it was whole was known as the Crystal of Light, born here on Tython from the purified waters and blessed many times over by the Masters of old." She gazed up at the distant mountain range and sighed heavily.

"I was the keeper of the crystal so to speak, as I had discovered Tython a year before the Bastion Accords but was unable to really pinpoint a true hyperspace route." She made motions with her hands as they began walking down the duracrete path. She bowed her head slightly to the Padawans and Knights who passed and stopped to observe a spar between a Knight and a Padawan. "There was an accident that is difficult to explain." She shrugged lightly as she stared at the two going back and forth, the Knight seeming to encourage the Padawan in a baiting manner. "The crystal became unstable when the Yuuzhan Vong appeared and caused a rift in time, and with it's instability it well...how should I say this..?" She ran a hand over her upper chest near her collarbone. "Exploded and became embedded in my skin..."

Her gaze shifted back and forth from the Padawan to the Knight and she shifted uncomfortably in her position, a ripple of hurt echoing through the Force that seemed to catch the Knight off-guard and his Padawan lunged and hit him hard with the training saber. The young man yelped loudly which caused Aaralyn to jerk her attention back to the present, she quickly turned and continued down the path. "I lost a lot of things, including my memory of who I am or was...only now am I starting to gather things together, albeit painfully though."
