New Friends?

Menka always heard things on the HoloNet and around the galaxy, with some being interesting, but way too scary to try out. Being a little anti social, and having droids you push over to have issues fighting were not the best bodyguards. But she needed her company to grow, and sitting around making blueprints wasn't going to do that, and worlds didn't accept scrap for warehouses...

But one thing stuck out, a man that was head of a new faction, or an old faction, she didn't listen to qny faction news and she was still pretty new to the big old galaxy. He lived in a palace, and that sounded like a civilized person to her, or at least, someone who wouldn't kill her... At first.

She had arrived at the mans location which appeared to be the planet Kesh, the first obstacle was getting inside the palace. With her two droid bodyguards, she found her way to the entrance, and proceeded to see if one could walk in, or have to ask to get in... The latter she expected

The guards, a pair of Keshiri with what looked like a pretty primative set of weapons at their waists blinked as they saw the woman coming up towards the palace. With a whistle from one of them though a pair of Uvak crawled out from their little holes nearby from where they were resting and stared down at the woman. The men who had been on guard as well took out what seemed to be sell powered energy shields that... well took the form of a shield along with their removed blaster pistols.

The one who had called for the Uvak spoke from behind the helmet he was wearing, making his voice clear and letting it echo off the area as he stared at her.

"And what can we do for you today. I do not remember there being any news of a twilek arriving... so unless you are one of the king's frequent visitors please do turn away..." His voice wasn't harsh, far from it. But it did have a demanding and authoritative tone to it that had only one goal. Unless she gave a good reason, it was likely he would simply turn her away right now. It wasn't an action of cruelty but with the late deals and the King's work off Kesh, it was needed to keep the more unnecessary arrivals away.

Stopped in fright as she saw the Uvak come out and watch her, these things she did not expect. The guards with their weapons and shields, she might have a chance to fight if she could handle a blaster -- but she wasn't here to fight, and the Uvak would have her number. She raised her hands, "Don't hurt me, please!" She pleaded, reaching to her blaster very slowly, holding the barrel with two fingers to lay it down on the ground, showing she wasn't ready to fight -- Hopefully they knew it was protection and not trouble. "I Just wish to see the nobleman of the palace, asking around, says this is his whereabouts. I work a very little known, or far less known company called Rogueworks Drives, and I heard an organization called the Confederacy of the Outer Rim was starting up. Since my clients are limited, and I think I could help the organization out with outfitting... I thought I'd offer my services. I have no other weapons on me, and I'm not good at any kind of combat, I swear." She was a frigid and frightened twi'lek, and not an assassin, she could hold a blaster far better than a knife, and that's all she could do with a blaster... hold it well.

The guards looked at each other before then turning to the woman infront of them. The left most one spoke as he waved down the Uvak, the eyes of his own faalling on her once more. "Ill escort you, but you will surrender your weapons now and stop moving your hand towards the blaster... no guards either. Is that clear?" He stood with his hand at the ready incase this woman decided to choose a different course of action and he wasn't about to deny her the wish to be subdued. It was a slow day anyways and if she wanted to try and get herself killed, he was not going to question that fact.

Menka quickly agreed and rose her hands, "I was going to lay it on the ground, you can take it from me if that's better." She turned to look at the droids, "Stay here, I'll be back. Nothing is gonna happen, okay? Be good, don't annoy anyone." She turned back at the palace guard and slowly walked to him, with her hands high in the sky, as high as her little body would let them reach. She was wearing a tight smuggling outfit, which showed her only weapon to be an old and generic blaster. She didn't hesitate if the guard was going to search her or take her weapon, expecting it. "I only had my droids to escort me to and from my ship, you can tell they aren't special, they'd be lucky to get a hit on anything if I told them to fire. They will stay in stationary mode."

The Keshiri watched her actions and her words without so much as flinching, only moving to grab at the most visible weapon and quickly search her for anything else. After turning up nothing his arms motioned for her to follow him and then bring her towards her own destination. The palace, as it could best be called, teemed with people moving about it be it guards, or simply attendants. They moved about, clearing away and keeping the beauty of the place without pause while some simply moved through the halls and none seemed to be too serious. it was not a carefree air but it did hold that there was no sorrow or solemnness to it. It was cheerful if anything else.

The arrival of their destination itself would take no more than ten minutes, the guard bringing her to a young brown haired human who was busy tending to the massive garden that owed its name to the Circle Eternal of old. The man himself wore simpler clothing, but still decent looking, his knees on the ground and his eyes focused on the planets with a pair of glasses laying on the bridge of his nose. For all that it was worth it would simply look like the guard had brought her to a gardener.

As she watched the guard stop, and looked who was around, noticing the man messing with the garden, she tilted her head. Was this the man she was looking for, the prince? Menka's limited knowledge of nobility caused her not to question why a prince was getting dirty in a garden, but 'is this what nobility looks like.' Before things would get to awkward, she spoke up in a hushed tone, "E-excuse me, are you the prince, or the... uh, the nobility of the palace? I'm looking for the leader of the Confederacy of the Outer Rim..."

"Hmm?" He looked up at the two and raised a brow, the guard giving a quick bow before Solan spoke to him. "Therin, i thought we talked about this. If you keep bringing in guests without my heads up i wont be able to get them a flower to equal their beauty." He smiled as the guard just sighed and nodded. It was a small small though that touched the guards lips before he bowed out again and started towards the edge of the area.

Once the Keshiri had made its way to the side of the area, Solan's eyes then turned on the twilek as he smiled. "I am Solan, A shadow prince and the ruler of Kesh. It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance my dear. I do hope Therin wasn't too harsh the man needs to learn how to get a gentler touch when it comes to guests... Do you require a chair"

When Menka heard the 'flower to equal her body' she blushed with a frown, remembering her scars and bodily problems, making her think she didn't deserve a flower. But then she looked up when the man spoke to her, and realizing he was the prince she quickly bowed her head. "It is nice to meet you Prince Solan, and no, he is alright. He was just protecting you. I don't need a chair but I have to warn you... If you make me nervous or breathe hard I'll have to use my breath mask," she said frustratingly, already fighting back some coughs, now looking up at him.

"I'm a little worse for wear, but that was my upbringing, nothing your guard did. But anyway, I've come to offer you the services of Rogueworks Drives, if you'd like."
