New Grandmaster/Council Members Wanted

After giving it some time, I don't see the NPC GM scheme working well right now. So, I'm open to having a PC give it a shot. To make it clear, the position of Grandmaster will have no admin privileges. You just help run the Jedi Order IC. OOC, I expect you to help other Jedi/FU writers with their character development and recruiting new members.

Along with a new GM, there's going to be a reshuffling of the Jedi council. I know at least a couple people I originally picked either retired their characters or left the site altogether, so there's definitely spaces that need to be filled.

So, feel free to nominate some people for the position of GM and other empty slots on the council.

I am not certain who else is left around, Dune would be my first choice of the masters given he is around just has become semi retired.

I wouldn't nominate anyone for grandmaster currently, the small handful of masters is to small to have a good pool or choice.

I'm willing to have this character return to the Republic.

Idk if you'd want him on a Jedi Council.

An idea, make the Grandmaster and council members happen in the story. Since no administration privileges are given, then don't worry about doing this quickly. Let us do RPS and when the Jedi's work together, the strongest and most qualified will be evident. Then once the leader is discovered they, through story find masters and only masters that uphold the Jedi's ideals.

I talked to the writer behind Dune the other day, and he's done with the character. Kashyyk was his last hurrah.

The Enclave has more or less returned to being a Jedi clubhouse as we rebuild, which I'm fine with.

Within the Republic I imagine there is enough to have a Council and even a few more spaces, unless we want to make it a small Council.

Personally, I think the Jedi should do an IC Vote, and it has to be unanimous for a Grandmaster to be named. Just like in canon. Even if we don't get one at first, Masters can continue to 'Master' around until a decision comes about.

Ofc, unanimous probably won't happen.

It's going to be something more informal. Before we start teaming up to go beat up the baddies, I think some IC fellowship would be nice. I've really been missing the community aspect of the Jedi and FU within the GR.

So anything you'd like to do, training, social, mission, etc, I am more than down for!

I've slipped myself into the Silver Jedi's assembly thread in their forum as part of my return. The short story is Dair went to Midvinter to get away for a few years, but felt the destruction on Korriban and felt the need to come back into the fold.
