For this thread I will be using a Heroic NPC by the name of High Priest Zrol
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It had been months since the Republic invaded the homeworld and even longer since Warlord Krag had taken the Imperial Clan's population and abandoned the planet. If the Republic had not shown up when it did, the Holy Clan of the Spirit Child and the Lost Clan of the Dread Father would have emerged from their moon lairs and fought a bloody civil war for right to control the planet once again. Now, however, the Graug had faced the wraith of a foreign enemy for the first time in their history and rebellion against them was already brewing. That was until Warlord Krag made his presence known to the Graug of the lesser clans, promising them a long and lasting dominance over those who had brought them to heel. That promise came at a price though, it meant that the Graug could not yet fight for their independence...it meant that they would need to learn the ways of these pests.

According to Warlord Krag, the Graug would need to integrate themselves into Republic society until the time to strike was right. These words were strange to a Graug, for diplomacy had not been apart of their culture for many years before the Republic or any other faction had crawled out of the ruins of the Gulag Plague. "It is the means to revenge, I have read it in the books of Sith Lords long past" that was what Warlord Krag had said and Zrol was finding it hard to believe a word of it. Still, the Graug were weak and even though their were harsh feelings between the Holy Clan and Krag's Imperial Clan, the two would work together if it meant the liberation of Gratos from the Jedi. There was no cause greater than that and stooping down to a Republic Planetary Representative was even worth that.

Out of any of the three clans, the Holy Clan was the obvious choice for such a matter. The Holy Clan were much smarter than Graug of other clans by birth and were well versed in the ways of their religion and, as warlike as they were, they were the least barbaric of the three. Well, at least when it came to everyday behavior. Still, none of them possessed the evolutionary Graug mindset that Krag was seeming to develop and that was why the Holy clan were made to choose a single priest who would have a new understanding transferred into their mind through Warlord Krag. Zrol was that priest and it was not to his liking. Even so, he was here to serve the Graugs inevitable revenge and to do that he needed the necessary tools. Krag's transfer of knowledge was only part, cybernetics were also added to balance out his chemical levels while on Coruscant to keep his rage from sending him into a berserk in the middle of the senate. He had much to learn about the ways of outsiders and he didn't much want to.

Zrol now sat upon a shuttle taking him to the surface of Coruscant. The vessel bore the markings of the Holy Clan and that would hopefully be enough to keep these fleas from shooting him down. The Graug led by Warlord Krag had recently attacked Coruscant and no doubt the tensions would be high, but if he got into a fight while he was here at least it would be a good death. Landing on the planet, the Graug lifted himself from his seat and strode to the back of the craft. Where Krag was bulky and cumbersome, the thin priest was slim and aerodynamic. Most Graug of the Holy Clan were built of lean muscle and were much more agile than their Imperial Clan Counterparts, but they suffered lack of strength because of it.

The main reason for Zrol's being here was simple, today was the day that the Gratos System was supposed to be granted its official seat on the senate for representation. With the Republic's current view on Graug, it would be interesting to see if that is true or not.

Unfortunately for this priest, there was no message sent beforehand and, given the recent attack by Krag and the strange strong-arm attempt by the Mandalorians... the shuttle was fired upon the moment it began heading towards Coruscant airspace.

No, this was not under Jedi order. It was simply protocol. After the warships had appeared in orbit, Republic High Command had decided that enough was enough. If you were hostile, or appeared hostile, you were being slagged.

Being associated with a group that was known to have killed civilians on this very world qualified.

The shuttle exploded into a fireball and it was as if the cries of a planet could be heard in the blast, the Republic had spilled innocent blood of a people they had conquered with no good reason. There was no warning, no asks for identification or any of the sort they simply killed without the decency to allow these new people of the Republic a chance. How could a people so warlike be turned to a respectable race when their conquers turned out to be no better than the Sith? The Republic was changing, there was nothing that could be done now...perhaps if they had waited to speak with the priest then the Graug could have become powerful Republic allies...but now the challenge had been issued.

The message would be spread across all systems, the Republic had just murdered a member of a Graug clan that had no ties to the attacks on Coruscant or even the Empire aside from being neighbors with Krag's superior clan. They were killing innocents and nothing could stop them now.....

Sarge, seated in the small room afforded him by the Jedi, simply turned his head as someone mentioned a ship getting fried. He shrugged. Twice in the past three weeks people had thought to either threaten the Republic or harm it's people; both events happening on Coruscant. One such event involved the very people that had just been shot down (not that he knew, of course.)

A people known for associating with Sith, who had kidnapped and killed not only Jedi but civilians in their attack on Coruscant.

He highly doubted anyone would blame them. Rallying cries were rallying cries, but ultimately you could make of any situation what you wanted.

He went back to reading.
