They were supposed to be going somewhere, but Kadan having broke his arm was an unexpected turn of events. As such, They found themselves doing something much less interesting than raiding Sith bases, or looting them for that matter. The sun was still setting on Kashyyyk while Aayla slowly moved her new lightsaber around her form, not necessarily swinging it, so much as going through run of the mill drill movements with it. Her forms switching from Shii-Cho, to Soresu, to Makashi, and then Ataru. All the while questioning the other. The last time they were together was particularly memorable for her. Though, the reasoning behind that was to be a secret. As long as they lived, as far as she was concerned.

The saber growled on the wind lightly as she made her casual movements with the yellow saber in hand. It was new to her, and a saber just like any other, and yet; it spoke to her differently. There were moments when it felt alien, but all the same so comfortable in her grip. She held it with both hands, swinging from right to left, upwards then crashing down to smash it onto the ground with a display of sparks, and sound. Raising it, she would draw the other saber to hand, swinging it at her imaginary target, and back around once more with the other saber; interlocking them with a click in barely a few seconds, she would twirl the saber staff between her hands, and elbows with some skill. Not the amount expected of someone using that caliber of weapon all their lives, but someone who knew what they were doing with a saber in general.;

She stopped suddenly, holding the saber in her left hand, right hand raised defensively against her ghost target.

"So how did you break your arm again? I'm confused..."

She lied, having heard the explanation already, but wanting him to tell it again. In the interim, she aggressively moved forward at nothing, spinning that dual-bladed saber and getting comfortable with it. Perhaps also trying to put on a threat display for Kadan, in case he was doing... Something... Something she wouldn't be happy with him doing. Regardless of his answer; that isn't what they were here for. Aayla had met a padawan she found interesting,,,

Well, to be honest she couldn't really be called a padawan, as she didn't yet belong to any order, but after pulling Iris Arani Iris Arani to the side, she had learned the other was Force Sensitive, and trying to make sense of everything, just like they all were at one point. She could've alerted a Master, but also didn't feel it terribly necessary. They would give the other their own assessment. Of ourse this entailed Kadan not knowing the full reason he was out here.

Aayla had only told him she wanted to talk, and had basically been doing saber drills the last twenty minutes in front of him. Not giving him any actual reasoning for dragging him out of Silver Rest. Or for that matter, talking about anything other than the question she had asked just now, twenty minutes into her dragging him outside of the security of the Order.

What was he going to do? Tell her he was scared?

There were more and more people for Iris to meet here than she ever had in her life home. Not that there were more people. Just, friendlier people. Those she knew in the slums didn't exactly stop and chat. They kept to themselves, trying to make ends meet and bring food home to their families. She couldn't help them, but she could paint.

Even today she was painting. Off in a corner as Aayla Shan Aayla Shan and Kadan Scipora Kadan Scipora did.. Whatever it was they were doing. She wasn't paying attention. The only thing she wanted to do now was paint. Her mind was overwhelmed by the colors she saw. More importantly, they were better than the colors she saw the other day. That image was still there on the side of the Kashyyyk temple. She learned that it was Csilla's destruction that she had felt. It was.. Horrible.

But today was a new day. And there was never a bad time to brighten the world. She was branching out on what she could do, testing depth perception. Her arms and hands were coated in paint. Her face, too, as she was wiping off the sweat from her brow in the process. It was a massive painting, and she seemed to easily get to where she needed to be to continue the painting. Nothing would pull her out of it until it was done. And only when it was done would she step back.

A soft smile formed as she nodded twice. "There."

NEW LEGACIES
He never got tired of watching her. Well, not like that, but studying Aayla's combat etiquette was something of a past time for Kadan. It was something that he learned to do at a young age, when his sister and father would fight, his mother had always lectured him studying the movements of those he felt close to. It improved teamwork, and coordination. Even though their team work was rather well, given the nature of their force bond, it was still something he found himself doing at times. If he had to guess why, it would be out of respect for Aayla's talents. It was because of that time dedicated to study, that he noticed her movements were different this time around, more fluid, precise. Aayla had a grace to her movements, her motions, and strikes. But this wasn't her natural affinity at work, something else, almost like she had more confidence built up behind her steps. It mystified him. Perhaps it was the new lightsaber she was sporting, it was rather fancy looking. "Your new saber seems to be working quite well." He commented, wondering how she would manage using a dual saber now.
There was a bit of a change to the pairs dynamic, and a bit of an unexpected twist to their relationship had occurred on Rekkiad. While it hadn't been a negative encounter, it was one that he supposed would be difficult if more people knew about it. It was still something they had to discuss in greater detail, which was partly why he wasn't overly thrilled that Aayla was doing saber drills rather than speaking with him. Her mind was still walled off to him partly, and rather than letting him back in as he had hoped, he felt that things had merely grown more distant between them. He had his suspicions for why that was of course, but, in a way it hurt. He had been pushed aside so many times, first by his family, then by the order, and now, it seemed she was on the same track. He wouldn't let it come to that however. Not if he could help it.
He was snapped out of his observation by her questioning him, prompting a sigh to draw from his lips.
"Like I said, on Muunilinst. Master Kiara and I were trapped in a station. The Sith were shelling the place, and a chunk of the ceiling fell on my arm." He gestured with his left arm, still wrapped in a metal case, sitting up slightly as he had slumped against the stone while he sat there. "Broke it right on the spot." He left out the finer details this time, knowing that Aayla was probably too distracted to even hear what he was saying. The little girl however, it would linger with him. He hoped she had gotten out alive. He watched her make a flourish towards him, perhaps concerned he might try to slip in behind her, but he did no such thing. Merely smirking as she had the blade angled towards him. "If I had to guess, it seems like you were expecting something." He stated, merely rising from his cross legged position, awkwardly shifting as his entrapped arm prodded his ribcage in the process. "Now, can you stop beating around the bush and tell me why you brought me out here?" His eyes looked to the young woman who was rather occupied with painting, a tad confused as to what the end picture would be; regardless, one of the masters would complain about it to high hell. Locking eyes with Aayla, his gaze revealed his words before he could share them with her.
'Is this about us? Or something else?'
He just wanted that one question answered, then he could roll with whatever antics she was wanting to throw at him this day.

His assessment wasn't wrong, and yet of anyone, he should've been more privy as to why everything seemed to be coming easier. It was he himself that had been there when she acquired the new kyber crystal, and saber hilt. She fell into a rhythmic pirouette of the saber staff on one side to the other; doing that back and forth about four time concurrently before stopping. Holding the blade horizontally in front of her, and cutting both igniters. She had heard everything he'd said, and would still vie to be a butt.

"What did you say?"

Aayla grinned in his direction, transmitting the fact she didn't need any clarification. Yes their bond was still a bit cloudy, but it wasn't gone. Beyond that she was positive he didn't know the real reason why she was resisting it. She wanted to feel his mind again, but also held information that she didn't want him to know just yet. She had promised... Until that was sorted, she couldn't let him freely prod around her thoughts. Then he asked if she had dragged him outside because of them; she separated the sabers, and clipped both respectively on her belt.

"No, Kadan... Come on sh-- Is she tagging the temple?"

Aayla asked, turning and moving to help Kadan to his feet, then once done would walk ahead of him in the direction of Iris Arani Iris Arani .

When they both neared, Aayla would stretch both arms up in the air, eyes focusing on what the other had drawn. It was a trippy photo, almost seeming like you could jump in it; and yet Aayla specifically could see something within it. She had a question, but wasn't going to jump right into that.

"That's a wonderful painting; Iris, this is Kadan... He's my b-. partner... Jedi, partner... Jedi Padawan, partner..."

Aayla had butchered that sentence, and hoped the other either didn't notice, or didn't care enough.

"I wanted you two to meet, but I was also hoping you gave more thought to joining the Silvers; have you made a decision yet? Me and him can help you with anything... Mostly anything, anyway."

She said, moving to a crouch and picking up a few stones from the earth. Gray hues studying the other, and then the painting curiously.

".. Huh?"

Iris blinked slowly as she looked over her shoulder towards the approaching pair. She didn't seem to notice really anything Aayla Shan Aayla Shan said, only responding after a couple seconds of quiet. She even looked surprised, like she just noticed they were standing there. Her gaze drifted between her and Kadan Scipora Kadan Scipora , but never actually looking at them. More looking around them.

Observing the colors that lingered around them. The streams of blues, yellows, reds, and every color between hung closely to them. They were bright, like the rest of the Jedi she'd met.

"You two are close. .. Have we met?" Oh yes, she absolutely forgot her earlier conversation with Aayla. She extended a paint covered hand after a moment. Paint dripped from her hand still, staining the ground below it. "I'm Iris."

He merely shook his head as she brushed past his words, motioning towards the new girl that was busy painting up a storm. The painting wasn't bad, quite decent in his eyes, but he had never taken time to study art. Well, not the painted kind. As Aayla moved to introduce them, he kept a calm exterior as she stumbled over her words, his lips tight as he merely nodded at her mishaps. 'Smooth Aya, very smooth.' He would prod her through their bond, certain that he would earn a small glare from her.
Their new friend however, seemed a bit unaware of the world around her. Though as Aayla inquired if the girl had made a decision for if she would stay with the Concord, he understood what she was getting at. She was trying to help another lost soul.
"Well, we are partners. In the jedi nature, of course, so we are certainly close." He smirked, looking to Aayla, then back to Iris. "Nice to meet you Iris, but, no, I don't believe we have. As for the help we can offer you, well, we know the lay of the land here." Gesturing to the limb he had wrapped in a cast, he shrugged. He had only one good hand, and would rather not decorate it with paint this day. He went with a polite bow instead. "Injured my arm a while back, otherwise I'd be with Aayla twirling around like a dancer." He looked over the woman for a moment, nodding towards the painting she had created. "Where'd you learn to paint like that? We could use a little more color on the walls around this place. Just because it's called the Silver Concord doesn't mean it all needs to be silver."
Truthfully, he still wasn't sure why he was here. But knowing Aayla, that would become apparent in a few moments.

Aayla stood up straight as Iris offered a hand to shake, taking it though she noticed the paint at the last second. Welp, too late... Aayla shook the others hand firmly, allowing Iris to feel that Aayla's hands were rougher than the average. nicks, and mini-scars dotting all along her hands, and fingers. She would eat Iris's statement about them being close; aware she might have had to be a little less obvious about that kind of stuff in the future. Then Kadan called her Aya, and she slowly craned her head to him, a wry smirk dotting her features. Who the Feth was Aya? It took her a few moments to realize he may have just been talking about her. That emotion would've likely been lost to time, eyebrow raised as she looked back to Iris.

As Kadan observed the painting, so did she again. Something was driving her nuts about it, but she just couldn't come to terms. She used the back of her left hand to rub her eyes, revealing a bit of that silver that floated atop the gray; just for a moment.. And it faded.

Aayla looked back to Iris, shaking her head as she remembered why they had come to bother Iris in the first place.

"Anywaaaay... I was going to ask that maybe you come train, and meditate with us if you wanted; we aren't Masters so we can't officially take you on; but you might like it here. You'll never go hungry, and you'll always have a place with the Silvers... I wanted to bring Kadan as well, so you have another face you can call ion if you can't find me... And vice-versa"

She would motion between Kadan, and herself as she said that last part with her recently paint laden digits. With that being said, she would relax her shoulders, and hold her right arm out in front of her so she didn't get any paint on herself.

"What do you say?"

Aayla added, seeming very interested in recruiting the other into the SJC, though her reasoning wasn't exactly forefront. She wasn't even sure shehad a reason for it herself, other than the fact she liked the other girl. She seemed cool, but also had the air of someone you wanted to protect. Perhaps it was because she almost always seemed aloof; even earlier when Aayla met her, she seemed like she was floating in and out of reality. Watching something that was just out of visibility to the rest of them.

"Training?" Iris tilted her head. Was that something she was supposed to do as a Jedi? Really, she hadn't even started the basics yet, but maybe she should have? She hummed a bit, lost in these thoughts. Forgetting where she was for a moment, and the two before her. She blinked after a moment, then smiled again to them both.

"I guess, yes. That's what's expected of me, right?"

NEW LEGACIES
He caught the small grin from Aayla as her newly minted name registered with her, and felt a small chill go down his spine, before she seemed to register he was talking about her. This was certainly going to take some getting used to. They really needed to talk once this business was settled,
Oh, training? That was what this was all about? Could have fooled him. Kadan's head shifted back slightly as Aayla unveiled the plan to him. "Well, that's news to me." He muttered under his breath, his gaze dropping to the ground, as he nearly scratched the back of his head. Regardless, Aayla had her reasons for this little stunt, and he would play along for now. He wondered if perhaps this had to do with what they had spoken about earlier, on Rekkiad. Regardless, what they were doing now was to help someone who needed guidance, just as he did so many years ago.
"Nothing is expected of you, we're merely seeking to help you be more accustomed to life in the order, should you wish to join." He explained, smiling as he witnessed Aayla trying to avoid touching her attire with her paint stricken hand. It gave Kadan a rather clever idea. "Aayla, can I borrow your hand for a moment." He began, eyes closed, as his right hand took Aayla's wrist gently, and raised it up. He focused on the still wet paint that clung to the woman's hand, and gathered his will about the substance. With a large amount of effort, he slowly would begin to pull it from the surface of her skin, freeing it of the impurities. The paint droplets would linger for a moment, before the padawan shifted them away from his companion, and applying the color to his metal cast; giving it a rather interesting streak of color now, with no uniform to it what so ever. "Sorry, just wanted to try that." He had seen so many masters do that, removing the water from their clothes or skin with such ease; yet it took a considerable amount of focus for him to remove something so trivial. Realizing he was still holding Aayla's wrist, Kadan's cheeks began to redden, before he loosened his grasp.
'Sorry, couldn't help myself.'.
As fun as it was to jest, he needed to be more careful. Especially around the masters. "So, Aayla, where were we planning to meditate for today?" He inquired, stepping forward and turning back to face her, as he was now standing beside Iris, waiting for his companion to give him a straight answer for the first time today.

She let Kadan do his trick with the paint, and smiled at Iris as he did. Aayla could already tell, she was gonna' be a doozy to train for whomever decided to do it. Aayla sensed the other was very much free-spirited. Perhaps even, she wouldn't truly be able to focus on one thing. Though she felt as though things were expected of her.. She agreed pretty quickly. Aayla loved the girl already for her adorable and carefree attitude, but had to make a quick thought...

Iris may have been a complete airhead. Well, not complete, she could paint like nobodies business; but she was very much off in her own zone half of the time. And when she was tuned in she seemed like it took a second. In any case the Force had brought them together for a reason. Aayla would do what she could to help Iris reach her potential, and hoped Kadan would join her in this effort. Even though she was still shunting their bond purposely without explanation... She really needed to explain that to him soon. Especially if he was going to be acting that boyish from holding her hand too long.. You would've thought they... Anyway.

"The Waterfall Cave... I bet you would like it Iris... There's a bunch of pretty colors on the way, and the cave behind the water-fall is pretty well lit; you could maybe paint in there sometime."

Aayla offered, aware she was now contributing to Iris's delinquency. Though it was like Kadan said, Silver Rest was a little drab; and compared to the entire building, a few (beautiful) images on the foundation couldn't hurt.
