New Member, Need Assistance On Character Template

Hey there! I'm a new member looking for a little assistance regarding creating a character. I am already an experienced multi-para roleplayer, having roleplayed in a different fandom for several years. However, I am not familiar with the layout of this page, and in need of assistance on how to go about creating a character description. I'd appreciate any help given and will also be willing to send starters to fellow members. Thanks!

You can make a character profile here and the character creation template here. There's no approval system so once your profile is posted, you're good to go . Also, once your Character Sub Account has 50 posts, you can request you tags here.

Ah, thank you both for the help! The one thing I would like to know is do I just write upon clicking 'Start a new topic'? Is that where the information for the character is stored? Sorry for the noobish questions </3

Yup, you click 'Start a new topic' to post your character sheet. Then you go to your profile, click 'Edit My Profile' and paste the link you your character sheetin the 'Character Bio' section so others can have easy access to your it. A character sheet is never final, and you can edit and update your it as much as you like and there is no such thing as a stupid question.

Welcome - that's the easy bit.

I think I understand your problem. If you click on my Character Bio link below my avatar, it simply takes you to a page I created here...in the Character Creation (http://starwarsrp.net/forum/51-character-creation/) section.

Yours seems to want to take you somewhere that doesn't exist. I see you've created one, so the link you should paste where there is the space is: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/73403-vegas-bio/

Is that helping?

And then you simply edit this bio in the usual way to update it.



EDIT - I see the problem, you've added an 'l' before the http:// part of the address

Dominions are a great way to get started and test your character out. We have some active ones right now:

Dominion of Phu

Dominion of Roxuli

Dominion of Vullain

Dominion of Lialic

These are all objective-based RPs which allow us to increase our territory. The objectives are explained within the very first thread and they are open to all Sith!

I'd also like to know what not to do in the dominions, and how to acknowledge the latest activity in the objectives. It's only that I'm not used the layout, having been only ever roleplaying on one other site. Sorry for all the questions, I just don't want to upset any roleplays/roleplayers x/

If in doubt, go for it. It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission most of the time.

Go for any/all of the Dominions. The key is we need to get to 100 posts and you aren't allowed to post more than 20 times. Nor spam e.g. do five posts in a row without someone else posting.

And the Objectives are just guidelines. I commonly do my own thing, so I'm not waiting on anyone, or holding anyone up.

And most threads like that have an OOC thread here, so you can always ask there if someone wants to join up to do something together.
