One thing that will help us get our feet is to find out what each of us want to do as a member of the Hutt Cartel.

For example, with Darrunga, I want to have a Hutt that actively meddles in Sith and Republic business and try to harm both factions. Whether or not he will be an in-character leader of the faction really depends on what the rest of you want to do.

Here are some options, though, that would help:
  • Be the leader of a crime organization. As stated in the post I created presenting the Hutt Cartel to the site, members are free to try to revive the Black Sun and other organizations.
  • Be the leader of a crime family. For Hutts, they're otherwise called Kajidics. They operate much like a crime syndicate, yet it's all about the family in charge.
  • Vassals/servants of the above are welcomed, of course, for those that do not wish to have a character that is in charge.
  • Mercenaries and bounty hunters are also welcomed. I do wish to get a galactic bounty list up for the site, eventually.
  • Any other ideas you can think of are welcomed.

Blagga is a classic sort of criminal. Runs legitimate businesses (mostly restaurants, seeing as he was once a chef) as a front to his illegal ones. Definitely has his eye set on bigger and greater things within the larger galactic scheme of things.

Ezekyle "Gorefather" Alpharius is here, Ex-Gladiator Champion of Loovria and now expert Bounty Hunter. Show me a target, and there as good as dead.

I would love to be the right/left hand of one of the heads of the families. A skilled and loyal mercenary who isn't afraid to lay down the law of the Hutts and is a trusted bodyguard to...whomever.

Also, most factions have their own "Tech" pages and whatnot but the Hutts aren't exactly known for their technology. So what I propose is instead of having Hutt specific tech we have something of a blackmarket which fits the Cartel, no?

Excon the Hutt is the crime lord of Tatooine. (assigned by the leader of the South System Syndicate who is in control of the planet.) He has interest in politics, but also cares to help out his fellow Hutts, knowing that if he scratches their backs now, they'll scratch his back later.

Slicer extrodinare.. .you want it sliced, and Silvia can help... just don't ask her how to get where she's going.. she hardly knows. Also is wanted by a hutt.. on no part of her own... so would love to forced to pay off my debt to another hut seeing how members of my party might of killed said hutt :D

Keter wants to seize control of his homeworld - Hutta. He wishes to improve the planet and turn it from the smog filled factory nightmare it currently is into a fully developed planet that the galaxy can be proud of. To achieve that he is happy to work with the Hutts until he can earn enough reputation and trust to be named steward of that world.

That is actually one of the plans I have for this faction. We create cool technology and, if we're active and big enough, get a blackmarket section where we can allow factions that help/pay us to use the tech as well.

A lot of these plans are great! I think something that would help kickstart the faction is a role-play where we sort take control of the Hutt Cartel, or something. Something along the lines of getting rid of the old leaders and installing either an NPC or PC council, whichever works. The Hutt Cartel usually does not have a solid hierarchy beyond the individual crime organizations, but it totally legitimizes the faction and establishes relationships among the members.

Tyger Tyger is a mercenary, bounty hunter, smuggler, intelligence collector, trader, and general rogue-for-hire As a former soldier, he's less-inclined to do work that moves to demean his honor and integrity, such as subtle assassinations, sentient trafficking, and drug dealing. He also maintains loyalty to the Imperials, and won't take jobs with the clear intention to undermine the Empire -- if you need, say, a single officer shot, however...

With all that being said, the current holder of the name Tyger Tyger is not necessarily the same guy who is in the Bad Guy Yellow Pages -- so there's no reason these scruples and standards would be known to the galactic underworld community.

Jorus has bounced around between insurgent/freedom fighter groups for a while. He's got a moral backbone (Warden of the Sky) but he needs to pay the bills (smuggler).

Times are tough. He doesn't want to be a corporate guy with OmegaPyre, and Nal Hutta and Nar Shaddaa seem like pretty decent places to hide out, put down routes, make friends, etc.

On my drive down yesterday I totally designed a fleet in my head. Fully fleshed out with how it would work together and do combat. When we decided to start expanding I will get all that up. But that is not am immediate concern

Indeed - firstly, what is the Hierarchy of the Cartel? Hutt Council at the top, then each one has a personalized hierarchy of underlings or is it standardized etc? What are the laws of the Council?

More chaotic, in my opinion. The Hutt Council can make all these claims, but if the majority of Hutt Space does not want to go along with their whims then things can get dicey for them. Ideally, it should kind of be like feudalism or a confederacy where you have a ton of characters with their own holdings trying to aim for a single goal for the whole groups - while also trying to get their neighbor's wealth.

Io Akima

Queen of Hologram Fun World
HELLO!!!!!!!!!

OKAY!

I am a slicer /holo-faker/ holo-programer/ baroness administrator for Hologram Fun World!

I like to have fun, eat candy, play games, and meet new people!~

I make all sorts of neat techie gadgets to help out in various scheming things. (Think GhostCell Assassin Tech

Umm.... Hologram Fun World has basically been run by "Io" for centuries. I was alive once upon a time... a long time ago... but after the plague I had myself uploaded to the system...

There isn't anyone left on Hologram Fun World for centuries, just kinda floating on by.... allll by myseeeeeelf! Well I still have the Holograms. :)

I do have a nifty droid body I wander around in though!

***

OOC info.
Io contracted some sort of disease around 67 ABY, they put her in a droid body and left her to believe that she was still alive.

Every few years, she'd start to figure it out, but she was so beloved that they kept resetting her memory of time. When the Gulag Plague hit, no one was left to reset her memory.

So while she thinks she's only been a droid for 400 years, it's actually been closer to 900.

So sad. Need someone to discover her :p... as she IS Hologram Fun World.

Name is Bourne Cavanagh, and I be leading a small remnant of the Blazing Chain Pirates. We aren't do-gooders. We are pirates. We raid. We kill. We loot. We profit.

I figure with the Hutt Cartel, we'll be able to make a fine bit of creds doing what we do best. Raid.
