After much brainstorming from faction members and leaders, as faction owner I'm proud to announce our newest official title: Arbiter. This is a title we're granting to @[member="Alen Na'Varro"] and @[member="Spencer Jacobs"], and others as they show interest and prove worthy.
What is an Arbiter's job? To resolve IC disputes between faction members and straighten out messes. For example, the one between Zaiden and a group of High Councilors might have been something an Arbiter would have looked at. Disputes between High Councilors would fall to Arbiters to resolve. Arbiters may have other titles, or have other roles delegated to them, such as Alen leading the Javin Dominion and the ground force at Eriadu. However, in their position as Arbiters, they don't have legislative or executive power. They're not in charge -- they're just meant to sort things out when things get nasty between faction members, and when that's necessary, it takes a majority of the High Council to outweigh them. Arbiters can also be first responders when security threats enter our borders, like when Alen went to handle some problems for us on Taloraan or when Spencer and Ashin took care of a certain hospital room on Kayri.
To allow Ashin maximum flexibility in keeping Fringe safe, Ashin will be resigning as Grand Admiral and taking up a position as an Arbiter, with the Chimaera as her personal ship when necessary. Likewise, Alen has his Star Destroyer, and Spencer can handle that however she likes -- goodness knows we have enough excellent ships.
Alen Na'Varro and Spencer Jacobs have proven they're very competent, that they care about the people of the faction, and that their characters have sound judgment.
