New to The Order

New to the Jedi Order, Haytham Kaze wasn't prepared for the training that he had been introduced to. Of course he had suspected that force training would be intense, but how could he have ever imagined it as it was?

There was plenty of meditation. That wasn't as bad as he thought it'd be, but sitting around unmoving for long amounts of time annoyed him. He always had to be moving. Always.

Maybe I'm not cut out to be a Jedi if I can't meditate.

He shrugged his shoulders and then suddenly stopped at the large intersection in the hallway that he stood before in the Ossus Academy. He looked in all three directions, and continued on to the way that should be taking him to the Archives, and Haytham moved quite close to the wall, as if he were hugging it, aand he continued down that hallway keeping his thoughts to himself.

Amelia just got back from some training with some of the elder Consulars, she had been learning to master some more force abilities that were involved with pacifism. She didn't join the order to learn how to kill people, not that she joined, but still, the order and it's policy meant something to her. She was reciting the mantra in her head when she saw another padawan who looked rather depressed. She wanted to talk to him, but she had problem introducing herself to other padawans randomly, so she decided to keep walking, hoping to avoid him if possible.

So many things to do...

There was a falter in his step. Whilst he grew up he had always thought of the 'sixth' sense as just instinct, but instead it turned out to be the Force, and at that point, he had felt someone's eyes upon him and their thoughts directed towards him. It... Wasn't completely noticeable, but it was just something that made itself vocal in the back of his mind.

It wasn't dangerous. That he knew for sure, and his gaze scanned the area before he set his eyes upon the purple headed girl and he focused his gray gaze upon her for but a moment before smiling kindly and nodding his head. "Greetings," he called out, nicely enough.

It was better to not be hostile the first time you met someone, right?

Besides, don't all Jedi know each other?

Well, she was talking now, despite her best efforts to avoid confrontations. She turned around to face the other padawan, he was a rather tall man and obviously a guardian. She smiled at him and then introduced herself, semi-nervously. "Oh hi, I didn't notice you. How are you...?" She tried to bring up a name to remember him, but she had never met the man before. It kind of made her feel guilty, but then she decided to start off formally. "I'm sorry, my name is Amelia Rivers, what's yours?" She extended her hand towards his.

Humble as always.

The Jedi Padawan inclined his head to the other Padawan in greeting again, and glanced down at her own hand, guessing it was there to shake, but he made no move to do so. Physical contact wasn't something that he... Did. Not that he was shy, or didn't like people, Haytham just didn't particularly making skin contact with people.

"Haytham." There was a smile from him, and a slight tilt to his head. "Are you new here?"
