Next Event for SSC.

Hello Everyone!

With the Jabiim dominion coming to an end soon, I wanted to ask the faction what you all want to do next.

Naturally, there would always be dominions, if that is what you all wish to continue on with. Or is there something else or different you all would like to do with SSC.

There is the list of missions available to everyone to take up and run with. Or if they don't appeal to you, you are welcome to create a new one and see if others here would like to join in your fun.

If you would like to see a faction event organised we can all have a discussion on what that might be, [member="Connor Harrison"] very kindly organised the last one involving Matsu X and her zombies, but I wanted to see if anyone had an idea they might like to try.

So, if you have an idea, please feel free to post it here.

Well there is a planet nearby that is an entire system of fortress worlds controlled by jedi.

And any newcomers to the Silvers, if you have ideas or thoughts about stories or events you'd like to see, please feel free to air them no matter what they are!

I think we've had a few runs against mercs / pirates / crime-lords / slavers so I'm thinking what other things we could do as they seem to cover most of the dominion plots.

Off the top of my head at 7:31am I can think of...

- Race against time to locate a missing Automatic Targeting Attack Communicator that Dark Siders are after, or someone, that will allow those who use it to have an advantage in tracking and mapping enemy fleet signatures and coordiantes

- An assassin is targeting Silvers, and we must track them down before they strike again at a higher target - the Grandmaster!

- After 3 Silver Knights are killed in under 24hrs on the same planet, a team must investigate what - or who - they discovered that led to their deaths

- When a Silver Sanctum Ship is hijacked and stolen, we must find it and stop it being used for a devastating plot to strike at a major civilization

- The Silver Sanctum Temple is under attack! A hacked computer system triggers an explosion in the temple, and an unknown figure is bringing the Temple down from the inside who must be identified and stopped!

....or something like that.

The dominion could actually use a push since it's been mostly [member="Alaki"] and me posting in it for a while (I wrote 20 posts under various alts), and I believe things are being wrapped up for us. An extra writer or two would not hurt.

I know I'm new here, but I wrote a lot of stuff with the Jedi at my old site. So, some ideas:

-An unknown illness is spreading through the Temple. This is a good thread to get the healer's shining in the spotlight. Twists could include: -It's endemic to Voss and a vaccine needs to be made for all new comers. -It was deliberately introduced by (insert villain here), and only that person holds the key to the cure. -Some people seem to be immune, but why? And can it be used to combat the disease?

-Night falls. As people fall asleep, they enter in to a shared dreamscape instead of their own solitary dreaming. Each person's dream adds to the dreaming at large and discovering that a) this is a dream and b ) why it's happening becomes paramount in allowing those trapped there to wake up.

- Padawans start disappearing in to the swamps (forests, etc), following a strange light. Discover what's causing the will o' wisps and rescue the padawans (or twist it and have only the older folks disappearing and the padawans have to rescue everyone else). Could invite in a PC villain or three.

- Humor- Jedi Bake off! Who can create the most decadent masterpiece and who is going to almost burn the temple down?

Some idea(s):

-A Padawan is learning new Force techniques inside the Temple and "accidentaly" starts a fire he can't stop in the Temple. You must figure out how to stop it or if the only way to stop it is to kill the Padawan.

-A Old Master of the Sith has returned! We must catch him before he reveals his secrets to the Acolytes and the rest of the Sith or they may destroy the Sanctum as it is.
-Continuation of the previous one: If they do destroy the Sanctum Order , some leftover Jedi must relocate in a safe planet and rebuild the order by finding survivors or recruit new ones.

Also I'd love to take part in one of those missions you talked about.

We actually did this in the Primeval as the story basis for the Sernpidal dominion (which is also where Boo's pet amphistaff, Azi, hails from).

Later used as a dev thread, Boo carries with him a shard of the crystal that caused the shared waking dreamscape. It allows the wearer to remain conscious even while asleep, as their 'dream-self' becomes separate from their body. That could be the cause of something like what you're describing to occur. Especially if [member="Matsu Ike"] got her hands on it and had been experimenting or something.

Other ideas...

- The Silver Sanctum Coalition realized that the Supreme Leader of the First Order will make the galaxy great again, and the last vestiges of the Order of the Silver Jedi are swept away when they become the Imperial Knights of the Levantine First Order. The capital is then moved to Rhen Var, because reasons.

- [member="Makai Dashiell"] has a vision on the hyperlane to Zygerria, resulting in a dramatic conversion to faith in the Primeval.

You can get back to me on that last part, Fish Boy...

That's probably just [member="Zak Dymo"] and the Pineapple Pirate Crew.

...and that's probably just [member="Sor-Jan Xantha"] trying to install the latest patch for World of Build-a-Bear Knights.

Gormak Attack!

In the past, the Gormak attacked the Voss temple. Repelled by the first responders at the time, they were forced back, and created a treaty with the Silver Jedi at the time. Now that it has been reclaimed as the SSC, the Gormak feel it is not the same. They have been gathering in numbers. Over this time, it is seen they are doing so. Very little information is known why to the Silvers.

In a surprise ambush upon the Voss Capital, and the temple, the Silvers must make their stand against the Gormak rising, and their new allies.

If I could make a suggestion as I really love the ideas that already have been put out, could I suggest that someone possibly talk to some of the Sith players about being opposition in such threads? It would add more to the story in some of the proposed ideas.

There are so many places of interest on Voss that I don't believe all of them have been explored by us as a faction. (Writers may have individually and I would love to hear from them if they have)

I remember reading ages ago about a Rift in a Valley that is very unstable, (I can't find that link at the moment, still looking but if anyone has it please post it for me)

We could invite Sith into this and I will contact them for you all if that is what is desired. Let me know!

All the above suggestions are great, and some could be done as missions or in small groups as it is.

[member="Zephyr Carrick"] and @Akhilleus I like the idea to have the Gormak which might fit nicely with the Sith that might like to join in on this.

Anyway have a read if you will, and find a nice location for this to be set.

With Zephyr's idea for the Gromak maybe they'd come from the Boneyards, say a group of disgruntled ones have gathered there and have been biding their time and building their forces for such an attack on the Sanctum, possibly even aided by the Sith or a rogue jedi.

I'm not sure what I'd choose. On one hand the Gormak idea appeals to me but on another I am VERY interested in perhaps in the near future doing another Rakghoul story. I'd discussed this with several people including [member="Connor Harrison"]. There's possibilities for new story avenues there I think which was also discussed. For now though I'd have to agree with [member="Zephyr Carrick"] and his Gormak attack idea. But perhaps sometime before Halloween we should start up another Rakghoul story to implement the new developments that had been discussed?

I'm all for smashing some zombie/monster/Sith faces in, but if anyone is interested in something more social and lighthearted, I'd love to organize something like a semi-form dance? It could serve as a nice meet and greet for our newer members as well, I think.
