The think tank for the NH-11 was born after the sacking of New Holstice at the hands of the Primeval, and the Galactic Republics abandonment of the planet. Left to fend for itself, the Hospital planet was devastated. Entire cities had been leveled, the military crumbled, entire populations were wiped out. As the New Holstice Defense Force was comprised of citizens, New Holstice still required trained guards beyond that of their militia.
The NH-11 was an answer to defend government buildings and military installations, without drawing on the help of the rare Disciples of the Order of the Moth. These droids are programmed to stay near their designated locations, performing routine inspections of visitors. They have been equipped with non-lethal armaments capable of subduing attackers.
The NH-11 are made from durasteel, but with the increase in blaster technology, such metals have become significantly more susceptible to melting under the intense heat of a blaster rifle, or pistol. While they're more prone to increased damage from firearms, they excel due to their robotic strength and stamina, capable of running at inhuman speeds, sophisticated droid calculations allow accurate targeting, and an energy shield is provided to prevent immediate destruction in the event of an attack.
