SPECIAL FEATURES
In the event of an emergency (similar to the councilor class ship from the clone wars) the upper crew quarters can detached and act as a shuttle to evacuate the crew, though it is unarmed.
Strengths:
- Looks can be deceiving: Some pirates or would be attackers may think twice about laying into the ship due to it's design, the added armament also playing into the part of such a disguise. Though it woun't last for long people may second guess attacking such a ship, giving the crew a slight advantage,
- Hard shell: Though not a combat ship the armor on this craft if hard and won't fail with ease, who knows, such a trait may lead to this craft being used in combat, (HCLI does not take responsibility if such a ship is used in combat.
- Nimblish: Not bogged down with all the equipment and arms of an acutal frigate the NH25 can put more power into the engines and other places, making it faster then one would assume for a ship it's size/
- Capital Ships: The NH25's limited armament is mainly poised to protect against star fighters, in the case of something bigger this transport craft is not going to have a good time and will be taken out with not much of a fight.
- Little Escort: Has only a meager escort of ships available, which most of the time are shuttles to help with cargo loading. Unless by someone chance a person wanted to use it for military use and loaded a squadron of fighters on broad, But still only 1 squadron available.
The NH-25 is another step in the HCLI series of border line military craft for the open market, taking things a step further into the frigate sized ship range, for the moment leaving corvettes and star fighters behind. On par with Harley's constant push to take inspiration from past and proven designs he set forward the idea of a armed cargo ship based off the Nebulon B escort frigate of long ago. Though having many differences (mainly no tiny beam and massive blind spotting engine block) the NH25 does capture the image of a light anti-star fighter frigate, making most people second guess blindly attacking such a ship. Due to the ship looking like a T when front on (because of the engine placement and fin) Harley designated it as the Nebulon T Frigate.
Operational Use
As stated the NH25 is a cargo vessel with two cargo holds (forward and back-see image) and the ability to transport gas, fuel and other goods. Over all a versatile and ship for almost every cargo companies needs with the ability to operate almost independently unless in well known dangerous space. Though it is not endorsed by the company, if need be the NH25 can act as a fire saturation ship in combat and give some cover to star fighters and be loaded with a squadron of their own.
Defenses
Due to it's small size of 270meters and Zayane industries (at the time) not having developed a shielding unit for a frigate Harley decided to do an overlapping array of shields, giving the NH25 quite the robust trait. The use of multiple shields, on front and back with two smaller ones in key areas. This over lapping in the shields means that the middle points of the ship are actually strongest, while certain parts people would not usually target (like the front underside) is one of the weaker points. Still under heavy constant fire said shields will eventually fail and with an inability to return fire if the NH25 is caught in the open will slowly wither away.
