Strengths & Weaknesses
  • Firepower: The First Battalion's strength lies in its impressive firepower. As a congregation of assault vehicles, the unit thrives on decimating the enemy with explosive force. Although small in number, the First is more than capable of packing one Hell of a punch.
  • Aerial Superiority: As an Assault, Vehicular formation, the First Battalion's success rate is dependent upon the strength of enemy air. Should the skies belong to unfriendly hands, the First can find itself crippled by well-placed missiles. As such, the unit depends heavily upon friendly forces to bolster its battlefield longevity.
  • Infantry Support: As the Unit is composed of entirely vehicles, the First Battalion suffers in areas where infantry support is vital; such as urban environments or other tight locations.
Description

The First Battalion is a congregation of assault vehicles which fly the banner of ApeX. Initially formed during the organization's ascension into the mercenary world proper, the unit has consistently provided an explosive edge to Nightshrike Company. However, the First Battalion was not always the fighting force of the present. In fact, its origins were the most humble; for Apex could not initially afford to purchase new vehicles. For that reason, the organization did what it had to and salvaged assault craft of archaic design. They even attempted to then refurbish the vehicles in-house. And that...went about as well as expected.

Yet, despite numerous setbacks and breakdowns, the First Battalion proved stubborn. They did not allow their financial shortcomings or sub-par equipment stand in the way of a job well done. They did not allow rust and cobwebs to deter them from the All Mighty Credit. And in the end, their determination was well rewarded. As time moved on, the success of the organization flowed into the First Battalion; thereby affording them the means to upgrade. At first, the unit leapt at the chance and outfitted itself with a bonafide command vehicle: the Mythosaur Mobile Fortress. However, that was where the spending spree ended. They did not do as many would: send their rust-buckets back to the scrap yard.

Instead, they spent their funds refurbishing them completely.

For the First Battalion had accumulated more than funds and success...they had accumulated pride in their work. Pride in their sub-par pieces of poodoo that required weeks of upkeep just to manage a sortie. For that reason did they uplift the ancient vehicles into a fighting force to be reckoned with. Now, although their numbers are few, the First Battalion rides mighty: a fitting blade to the arsenal of ApeX!

After taking a look at the vehicles attached to this unit, I find this weakness to be insufficient alone. The mythosaur has sufficient weapons and technology to thwart off enemy air attacks, as well--save for the Canderous tank--the other vehicles are vaguely described. I can only conjecture their strengths and weaknesses.

I will need you to add another weakness, at least, to truly balance this out. If I may suggest; the light nature of this unit's infantry puts it at a disadvantage in tight urban environments where infantry support is necessary.

Otherwise this submission is well-written, and good work on the formatting!

No problem, I'm not holding you to any faults. I literally got told the same thing on a sub recently! It's just important to keep an eye on what benefits tech offers, because that can alter the balance between strengths and weaknesses.

Approved, pending secondary.
